Service appalling - had to wait 45 minutes for order for drink to be taken and it wasn't very busy either.

An excellent lunch overall, marred only slightly by what appeared to be untrained front of house staff on the day. Despite ordering gluten free bread for my guest, ordinary bread came along. It took too long to bring the right specification. After pointing out the delay, the bill was eventually reduced for the cost of the bread.

It's not the most character of places, and the night we visited they'd pretty much run out of soft drinks, but the Scandi food is pretty good and definitely a change from Italian etc

Had the flat Iron steak it’s one of the nicest steaks I’ve had, service was good, food arrived very quickly, we had a 50% voucher but would definitely go back at full price, desert was lovely, cheesecake was delicious, my partner had the lingonberry mess which was also delicious
Kuup was recommended to me, and I was definitely recommend to others.

My friend gave us a 50% off food voucher and as she had eaten there herself, recommended the restaurant. We had never tried the restaurant before nor the type of food served there so thought we would give it a go before the Voucher ran out on the 5th March. It was absolutely lovely, the services was great and we didn't have to wait too long for our food, which was superb. The steaks my son and husband had were cooked to perfection and very thick and juicy. Although not vegetarian, I decided to try the butternut squash, mushroom and blue cheese parcel they had. OMG it was delicious and I enjoyed every mouthful. What a fab combination of flavours and textures which worked brilliantly together. My bread and butter pudding with Earl Grey Tea soaked fruit was also delicious and my husband tried the cheesecake with ginger biscuit base. He said it was the best cheese cake he had had in a very long time. Would totally recommend Kupp and did so to my work colleague who also had a voucher. I felt bad paying just £33 for all the fabulous food we had had (including our drinks!), will definitely be going back there again and will not begrudge paying full cost if the food is once again as good as last Thursday night!!

Having never tried Scandinavian cuisine I was incredibly surprised

Food was delicious, ambiance was a bit lacking - quite modern for my taste - however a truly marvellous occasion.

The Kupp smörgasbörd was delicious, a full barrage of flavours and tastes.

Nathan, our waiter was exceptional, knowledgeable & attentive, polite & empathetic to our requirements.

First time for our girls night out in a Kupp restaurant. We had seen a review in a local mag which gave very good recommendations and we wanted to give Scandinavian food a try. We were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious, the menu choices were amazing and we loved the decor (especially the chairs!) We all chose 3 different starters and mains so we could try a little of each. Great value from the £14, 1 starter, 1 main and a glass of fizz, per person. Plenty of food on the plates as well. It was a little quiet for a Friday night but that meant our waiter was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Kupp, we will be back!

We are at KuPP with a group of 8 including toddlers and young children. We had the smorgasbords and EVERYONE tucked in. While the children found the food a bit “different” they all left with full tummies.

The atmosphere is lovely and the decor is absolutely to die for.

Well worth a visit, even if it is just for a coffee (which is also amazing).

Really easy to book and had the table reserved and waiting when I arrived. Staff were super helpful by letting us still order from the breakfast menu for someone who arrived past the 12pm cut off point, and effectively dealt with us all paying separately. Food was fantastic, only qualm is that it was sometimes difficult to locate a staff member or catch their attention when requesting the bill. Other than that, KuPP was a great experience and I'd like to visit again either for a coffee and pastry or dinner - the menu is full of enticing possibilities!

Excellent food and good atmosphere. The seating was bizarre however and the service was below par. This was exacerbated by the ridiculous, unexpected and extortionate service charge. Very cheeky...

First time at KuPP and really enjoyed the experience. Arrived for 7pm table two weeks before Christmas and found it fairly quiet, so was able to have good conversation with friends. I had the flat iron steak and a house beer, which were both excellent. Plenty of choices for all tastes.

It's a casual place where you get great value for money and really good service. The food is original due to the cuisine and there's really nice healthy options as well as chips etc.
Excellent value for money. It doesn't claim to be more than it is, I think.

Would we come back? Easy. NO!!
I went to the restaurant first about 6 pm on 22nd July and I have been told by manager that restaurant has been fully booked. I was so confuses because we have been there few times on the Saturday evening and always quiet. That's probably the reason we like to dine there because of quiet atmosphere and unusual food. we like to wonder around in the town and just walking in. Anyway when I was waiting for my husband and daughter I opened the website of Kupp and realised that from 6:15 to 9:30 full of space. I booked and got in with my family. Staffs were working in that evening none of them I recognised. The waitress explained to me that they had busy morning and lunch time and also they short of staffs. As result they only take bookings and they forgot to switch off the online booking system! That night the food serviced still normal time and beautiful presentation but we just could not taste anything. Just about when we were leaving the manager came to us and he insisted that the restaurant still fully booked and people have not been turned up yet. When we got there were people with 6 tables and when we left only 4.
This is only because we just come back from a lovely holiday and we go out to eat and remind of this experience. seems like has been a scar on my body and I would not like to pass by the restaurant and look inside it again. Probably just common problem for people they work in the restaurant if they can not cope and just telling that WE ARE FULLY BOOKED!!!!!!
Would we recommend to anyone else? Easy. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Chosen as my birthday brunch, with a gluten free guest. First time at Kupp, loved the decor, coffee was excellent, service was attentive but could have been a little quicker at the quiet time of day. Definitely looking forward to coming back for an evening meal to see what else we can try!

We enjoyed a lovely evening, the food was great, the waiter didn't just make sure we had the food we wanted he ensured we had a good evening, he really engaged with us. Young and old we all really relished our meals, a little bit of holiday right in the middle of Exeter. I can only recommend KUPP - thank you!

Popped into Kupp for the first time after work to take advantage of their offer 50% off summer set menu. Staff were incredible, really welcoming and knew , understood and could describe the food & drinks . Drinks are expensive, but the lingonberry daiquiri is awesome! Well worth it, especially with a disocunt voucher.
Decor is very cool too.

Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Just the right level of attention without being obtrusive. The food was tasty and well presented. A request to slightly amend one of the dishes was no problem to the staff. I will definitely be returning to and recommending KuPP Exeter.

One of our choices was a chicken dish which only came with leeks which were difficult to cut more varied vegetables would have been appreciated. The prawn cocktail could have done with a couple more prawns and less salad.Plates removed by waitress when one of us still eating and when the bill arrived someone else's coffees had been added to our bill.

Scandinavian food is a thing. Fresh, well prepared and seasoned vegetables and fish (we had the seafood sharing platter). Was tasty, beautiful and felt really healthy. So refreshing to eat out and not be bogged down by fatty food. Thoroughly recommmend.

Went on the bottomless brunch offer. Great food with lots of lovely flavours.Im a veggie who eats fish so was ideal cuisine for me. The service offered by two of your staff Dominica and the French guy with glasses was the best Ive had in a restaurant for quite some time. Really attentive and caring. Thank you so much to them. We will return on our next occasion to dine out. :-)

Between the 5 of us we shared a Fiske bord (fish platter) and Kupp bord (meat platter), both of which were excellent. We also tried a sneaky bit of banana cake that the little one polished off.

Excellent food, very good service, go and try it!
