Kutir’s story is taken from a time when innovation with ingredients was paramount. Chefs were expected to craft unique dishes on a daily basis to keep the cottage’s guests happy.
Step into Kutir and we will transport you to a time of magnificent wildlife, abundant forestry and deep human connection. A world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Rohit Ghai and Abhishake Sangwan have led some of this country’s most decorated establishments – earning a Michelin star in the process.
Kutir is their first solo project. It takes inspiration from the stories of India’s wildlife and countryside, drawing influence from their early careers working in luxury properties nestled away in India’s forestry.
Kutir promises a place of escapism and discovery – and everyone is welcome to come and explore it.

We were thoroughly enjoying our meal, for my birthday. However whilst still finishing our dessert and wine we were thrown our coats abruptly and told our table was needed ASAP. This was the first we had heard of this or given a warning.
The waiter frantically thrusting a card machine at us and getting out his iPhone calculator to work out our bill seemed like a major inconvenience to him. We personally found this very unprofessional and left a bad taste in our mouth and ruining what would of been a lovely dining experience.
You can tell that a lot of thought was put into every detail of this restaurant, from the decor to the food preparation, just beautiful! The food was Amazing! We did the chefs tasting menu which is the way to go. My husband also did the wine pairings and they were all fantastic!
Unfortunately the party of 6 dinners next to our table was not only loud but used extremely foul language which spoiled part of our dining experience at Kutir. However, the manager did talk to the dinners who refused to “tone down” their conversation. The other table nearby complained as well but no results.
Immaculate food and excellent service but dinners with no manners are something the restaurant can’t control.
We were 30 min late and despite being very busy, they were able to accommodate us. Best Indian restaurant we’ve ever visited!
Superb food, good value for money, nice location & interior.
I brought my mum here on Saturday to celebrate my recent engagement. We both had the tasting menu and it was amazing. Our waiter, Azim, was amazing! Really intuitive, kind and didn't try to upsell (which I hate!). Each course was delicious and had some interesting flavours. The 'main' course of Seabass curry was sensational! We also received a complimentary chocolate dessert with "congratulations" piped on the plate which was lovely. I really enjoyed the townhouse cosy feel, despite some of our fellow diners one of whom was on his phone right next to us and a couple who clearly could not wait until they got home to express their desire for one another. Nothing to do with the restaurant. So why only 4 stars? Our lovely experience was unfortunately very abruptly ended. Our waiter came over to ask if we wanted a coffee, to which we asked if we had time, very aware of the 2hr table limit (they had subsequently asked the over-zealous couple to leave as it was past their 2 hr slot). He said yes he thought so. No sooner had the coffee arrived and I had asked for the bill that our coats were delivered and we were ushered out of the building promptly to be left on the street in the rain. I want to state that I fully understand and respect the 2hr limit on tables at these fine dining establishments and in fact promote them. However, to usher your diners out into the rain is really unacceptable and really did ruin a perfectly brilliant experience. My advice is to create a reception bar somewhere where patrons can finish their coffee and petit fours in peace and leave at their own pace.
Perfect all around! Wonderful decor, attentive service and interesting food
Amazing. Every time we come it has not changed. Each dish was unbelievable, cooked to perfection. Service and and presentation also perfect.
Kutir was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. The tasting menu looked great but we opted for a la carte- our favourite dishes - lamb shank, daal & bappa doi . Fantastic venue & great staff!!
It's different from the best service, and it's definitely Indian food. It is a luxurious restaurant that suits the taste of Koreans.
Fabulous dining experience!
One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to.
The owner of the restaurant and our waiter were incredibly attentive, kind, and friendly. The food was excellent and the decor and ambiance were amazing. We loved it!
A stunning discovery. Every dish was different and full of flavor.
Set in a posh Chelsea townhouse, this restaurant is beautifully decorated and the ambience was great, not noisy at all. Food was incredibly flavoursome and plating was very classy! We had lamb chops, chicken chops and paneer makhni as starters. For mains we tried the guinea fowl biryani, jackfruit kofta and kaali dal with a bread basket. Portions size was decent to be shared. We could not resist trying the Falooda rabdi, mango lassi, nut-khat cocktail and Valrhona chocolate cake for cocktails and desserts! Overall a wonderful experience.
Insanely good food and great ambiance. Every dish we had was better than the last. Highly recommend!
Fabulous Food and great service. Sat upstairs. Good size of table. A lovely evening out
3rd visit, will definitely be back for a 4th! Great Indian cuisine and very attentive polite service!
The service by our waiter, Hasan, was attentive to every detail including allergies. He expertly explained every dish as well as the cocktail menu. Try the basil and portobello cocktail! Loved the atmosphere and decor. Every course was delicious! Would recommend this restaurant to our friends and family!
Outstanding in all respects.
Sehr nette Atmosphäre, hübsches Ambiente und eine kleine, aber feine Karte - lecker!
The veggie main with jackfruit kofta was not very nice. Everything else really good!
What a truly fabulous restaurant - unique townhouse setting and a wonderful menu - inviting choices and exceptional service. Perfect for a group and also for a romantic date
This is a lovely restaurant with good staff and good food, my only comment would be that it would be nice to be able to settle in before being rushed to our table past lots of staff and the bar, we were seated in the ground floor room and maybe it is different upstairs. Somewhere to take off your coat, have a drink and get warmed up would be more relaxing and then to be escorted to you table would feel nicer and make it a more of an evening out. I wonder if as it is because they have a 2 hour time slot it felt rushed to get you in, fed and out in the time allowed. We usually like to sit and continue to drink and chat for a while after a meal. wait for our cab, not have to pay the bill and rush out. Fortunately we were able to get a cab organised for as we left otherwise we would have been waiting round outside in the cold.
Loved it, and have booked to go back again later this year!
We had a superb meal at Kutir. Every course of the tasting menu was outstanding and the wine pairings were exceptional and well matched. Service was friendly and professional. Extraordinary in every respect.
Perfect place for a romantic dinner for lovers of Indian cuisine. The layout of the converted Victorian home is well utilized as it provides an intimate setting (upstairs). The room we were (anniversary) in only had four tables. When dining alone, I was sat in the back room on the first floor and really felt quite comfortable. Service is impeccable.
Had dinner here with my husband (early 30s, foodies and love Indian food). You won’t be disappointed.
The food is always excellent, though the service was affected by mistakes. Nothing major, but it would be better to make sure orders are written down. Also, the tables are small so precision of movement for waiters in a restaurant lie Kutir is important.
Bestes indisches Restaurant in London, mit Abstand!
My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Kutir. Excellent food, great service, and a wonderfully cosy vibe.
Dear Kartik, Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience at Kutir. We look forward to welcoming you and your guests soon. Yours in service,
The food was fantastic and would certainly recommend the lamb shank. The service felt a little rushed and wasn't so attentive throughout the experience, however, the welcome was very nice. It's a little on the pricey end but a unique experience with the variety of food on offer. Nice for a special occasion.
Amazing food and outstanding service. Would definitely recommend the set menus! Perfect hidden gem for date nights.
Had a wonderful meal here. Everything we tried as delicious. Our server recommended the Aloo Tiki and it was fabulous. We also had the venison curry - so tender and flavorful. We ordered one dish too many and did not get to sample any dessert. The wine we had with dinner was also good. Our dining experience here was really fantastic. Katie has elevated Indian cuisine to such a level that it would be a disappointment to eat anywhere else.
The food continues to amaze! A sign of its popularity is that it gets a bit loud but don't let that put you off
The cocktails are brilliant as well. Try madhosh
My favourite is the lamb and biryani though together they are a bit much!
We loved the whole meal. Best Indian meal we have ever had.
Wanted to try after visiting them at taste of London this year.tried the 6 course tasting menu FOOD was amazing we definitely be returning in the future 5star
Amazing food a real Indian food experience. Delicious would highly recommend.
Food was great. Service was awful. For an Indian restaurant at this price point I would expect the wait staff to know more about the menu and wine list. The wait staff know very little about either.
Great food, atmosphere and service!!! I will definitely be back for my Indian food fix next visit!
