Kutir’s story is taken from a time when innovation with ingredients was paramount. Chefs were expected to craft unique dishes on a daily basis to keep the cottage’s guests happy.
Step into Kutir and we will transport you to a time of magnificent wildlife, abundant forestry and deep human connection. A world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Rohit Ghai and Abhishake Sangwan have led some of this country’s most decorated establishments – earning a Michelin star in the process.
Kutir is their first solo project. It takes inspiration from the stories of India’s wildlife and countryside, drawing influence from their early careers working in luxury properties nestled away in India’s forestry.
Kutir promises a place of escapism and discovery – and everyone is welcome to come and explore it.

Great food and service in a lovely converted townhouse. Lunch menu is affordable and all the dishes were delicious
It was amazing. Couldn’t recommend it more. Everything was perfect
Delicious food with friendly staff.
Delicious food, beautifully presented, in exquisite surroundings, with fantastic staff!
Simply the best High End Indian meal I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried a fair number) the set menu (expedition menu) was perfect and excellent value for money. Perfect service and wonderful cocktails - a real culinary treat!
Wonderful experience, food & service was great. Thank you!
Fabulous elegant gourmet Indian food in beautiful setting
It was a very good evening however, one of the dishes was too spicy for us.
Fantastic food and very good service. Have already recommended and will be visiting again
A fantastic Chelsea period town house with surprising tasteful interior which we loved. It was also a wonderful surprise to meet Prem again after many years! I will be back and look forward to seeing you at your exciting new restaurant opening soon in Maddox Street!
The food was wonderful but the service was condescending and non existent. We ate a delicious meal with nothing to drink with it after ordering several times. We had to walk a flight of stairs to ask for our bull after sitting unattended to with empty plates.
We loved the food and the experience. We will be back!
We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience at Kutir for my partner’s birthday.
We chose the signature expedition tasting menu - was recommended to choose the opposite choice to the other so we were able to try all the dishes.
The service was second to none and made us feel so welcome.
The food was delicious- particular the salmon dish. It was packed with flavour and completely unique to anything I’ve ever tried before.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and fits the “quiet cosy cottage” aesthetic.
The birthday cake with candle and card was such an appreciated touch which demonstrated a genuine care for the customers experience.
Overall, we couldn’t fault such a beautiful evening and we wanted to say thank you so much!
Absolutely outstanding! Fantastic food, really delicious and unique when it comes to Indian food. The starter is the best chicken dish I've ever eaten. Attentive staff without being annoying and overbearing and a very cosy ambience and atmosphere. The roof garden is also a real bonus. The only criticism I have is that some of the dishes are VERY spicy and there's no warning of this on the menu
A minor issue but definitely worth looking into for the proprietors.
I had booked non-veg and veg signature expeditions for my boyfriend's 38th and must say, I am beyond thrilled by the staff's hospitality, the ambience, the decor and significantly, the classy spread. Also loved the chef's special dessert (a version of brownie) beside the desserts already included in the set menu. The portions as I had imagined would be more than sufficient for the two of us and we went for ala carte champagne (by the glass) instead of the optional wine pairing suggested on the menu. Overall, a Sunday and a bday well spent :)
Great setting and one of the best Indian restaurants. Will
be back for sure!
Absolutely outstanding food, service and attention. So delicious to try a little bit of everything on the signature tasting menu. Clearly very talented chefs. The waiting staff were so attentive and on top of every detail and made you feel like you were the only ones they were looking after. An expensive evening but then you go with that expectation that you're not going to get run of the mill food or service and it certainly didn't disappoint on any of those counts. Highly recommended and I would happily return for a special occasion.
Went Kutir for a birthday meal
Lovely venue. Roof terrace lovely on a summers evening. Sadly wasn’t blown away by the food. Service was very pleasant.
All the food was outstanding. The portions are ample so much so that we couldn’t manage a dessert. Not rushed at all. Would definitely recommend. The various meats are cooked to perfection and the tandoori chicken just fell off the bone as did the lamb shank. Amazing meal!
Very nice place! Loved the ambience, food and the staff! Will definitely go again
Second time in 2 weeks. Food was just as outstanding. Service was a little shakey outside and needs to improve.
See you soon
Very good service and outstanding food. The ambience was perfect for a Saturday family lunch. Would definitely recommend.
We booked Kutir as it was listed in the Michelin guide. Lunch on the terrace was excellent in the sunshine. The menu is varied and impressive value. Would highly recommend.
Delicious, authentic Indian cuisine, beautifully and imaginatively presented. Will come again!
First time to Kutir. Very good service but the waiting times between dishes was a little slow. Excellent ambience and comfortable dining experience. Food was superb from the Expedition tasting menu. Right amount and variety in the dishes. Nice kick to the spicing in the main dishes. Desserts were the least impressive on the menu. Strong wine list. Will come back but was expensive for comparable quality.
Loved it here. The staff were all incredible and food was seriously good.
We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and it was delicious!!
Amazing restaurant highly recommend will be going back again soon
Amazing well-spiced food and delicious cocktails.
Superb service from Vivienne and rest of staff
Outstanding food, the venison, lamb chops, tarka dal and paneer were simply delicious and very different from anything we had tasted before. Even the desserts were very different and my husband was transported back to his childhood by the taste of the Malpua-Rabri dessert. Never seen it on an Indian restaurant menu in England before. The restaurant were very accommodating letting us have dinner in lower dining room and then moving us to the Terrace for dessert and chai, which was beautifully decorated and made us feel on holiday, especially with the heater beaming out at us. A fantastic experience and will definitely come back with friends so we can try the rest of the menu. Thank you for making our Anniversary special.
Amazing food, fabulous service, great drinks- defo reccomend!
Sister date night, service was really good as always. The food wasn’t as good as the first time we visited but still really good. The first time we had the tasting menu and on this visit we went for a la carte. Drinks were excellent. Chocolate dessert was delicious.
We chose the tasting menu with wine pairing and the meal was one of the finest I’ve experienced.
Each course was outstanding, as were the accompanying wines.
The restaurant itself was beautiful and service was excellent, really friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
I have already recommended the restaurant to a number of people and hope to be back soon.
This was our second visit to Kutir and the high expectations set after our first visit were well and truly met, if not exceeded.
We sat on the upper floor, which provides a really calm, sophisticated space, within which to experience the amazing food and exemplary service.
Chef Rohit Ghai, certainly doesn't shy away from adding flavour to his dishes and this certainly includes a much welcome kick of spice.
When the time comes Kutir will certainly be very deserving of its Michelin star! It's waited far too long for the fitting accolade.
Well done team and a special thanks to Sam and Vivienne, for making our visit so special!
Amazing dinner, we went for the a la carte menu rather than the tasting menu and everything was amazing
Great venue with a number of small dining rooms plus a roof terrace
The flavours were superb, the presentation exquisite and the staff very welcoming and attentive.
We will definitely go back
All very lovely. Great ambience and food, professional and cheerful team
The restaurant is set in a super cute townhouse in Chelsea. The food was delicious and not that expensive. And the portions are reasonable and everything is shareable. The cocktails I really delicious some are super strong but I don’t think that’s really an issue. The customer service was really really good the waiter was really good at explaining things and what each of the dishes had an involved. Overall think it’s a really nice setting for a date night. I have to say I’ve been to many Indian restaurants and generally when they say spicy food is not by fee however this was the first time I thought there was actually spice in the food and it really got my tastebuds all excited.
Faultless. Only one criticism was a table of 6 in the same small room became very loud. Making a romantic dinner for 2 difficult to have a conversation. But both food and service fantastic.
