It was a last minute decision to go for a Tapas. The food, wine and service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoy a good Tapas. The staff were welcoming and attentive without being too overbearing.

We have eaten at La Casa, Leith a number of times, almost always in the evening. The first time was when we chanced upon it in its first week of operation. It has remained consistently very good since. The food is excellent for meat eaters and vegetarians alike - we usually go for a number of the the tapas and meze. It is hard to choose a favourite dish, as all of the many we have tried are memorable. The wine list is always interesting and often contains quality wines from places such as Greece and Hungary (on the menu on 22nd May 2022) which in the UK are hard to find otherwise. Wines from Italy, Spain and elsewhere are likewise always good. Great care appears to be taken with the selections. The staff are always exceptionally welcoming and attentive, without being at all intrusive. As the restaurant is usually busy when we are there, this says a lot for the efficiency of the operation and the professionalism of the staff in the restaurant and kitchen. The atmosphere is always vibrant. It is rarely a quiet restaurant, but this in no way detracts from the experience. Indeed for any familiar with eating at equivalent places in Greece or Spain (and even if not), the informal atmosphere and sound of people enjoying themselves just adds to the experience. I can reccommend La Casa, Leith highly and look forward to our next meal there.

Of the 8 tapas we had not one was up to scratch From the Albondigas meatballs where the sauce was meagre and watery to the Gambas Pil Pil which had no hint of chilli then even the pita bread which was burnt black on one side but damp and soggy on the other - I could go on but none of the other 5 dishes were worth having again. Serveat the table was OK but on arrival in the empty restaurant he couldn't find my booking and had to faff about with the computer for several minutes before conceding that I had booked (unnecessarily) then there was the service charge of 10% which is clearly advertised as for parties of 6 and over so I was surprised to see my table for 2 listed as 6 covers with the 10% applied. When I queried it I was then told it was optional and the computer system would not let them not make all tables 6 covers - pathetic excuse for a policy the appears to be just a way to make all pay more. I would normally have tipped > 10% so they lost out there

La Casa is such a gem of a place! Delicious and beautifully presented food, lovely setting, great value, friendly service... there was even some live music (Monday night). I'll be back -- working my way through the tapas! So far the Greek sausage stew, aubergine dip (with pitta) and saganaki are highlights!

I arrived early for.my booking but I was seated straight away. The venue is beautiful and nice and relaxed. When my friend arrived our order was taking quickly and the food arrived in good time despite how busy the place was. The food was beautiful. I'm still thinking about the meatballs now!
