Great value and excellent server. Jamaican fellow was excellent,
We went for a celebration meal and were disappointed the minute we arrived as the restaurant was very quiet yet we were placed at possibly the worst table in the whole place - on top of another couple squished against a wall - it was as if the restaurant was packed and they tried to squeeze us in yet there was only about 4 customers there at the time. We thought maybe as we were only 21 they noticed we were younger and maybe they thought it wouldn’t bother us or we wouldn’t say anything if we placed at the worst table. We then kindly asked to be moved as we could see even the couple beside us were uncomfortable / surprised with us being placed so close. After we were reluctantly placed at another table, we were then ignored and not even offered a drink for at least 10 minutes , and it’s not as if the restaurant was busy. After this we were told there was an issue in the kitchen , which after reading other reviews we learned this was not a first and happened often - and even still we weren’t even told about these issues for around 15 minutes. We then ordered food , still felt rudely treated though. Food was tasty no complaints there.
Everything was almost perfect service is great. Wine list is amazing coxtails we're brilliant. The starter we had was a bit cold in parts but still tasted nice. Really good
Lovely happy athmosphere, attentive staff, stylish dining room and good food.
I had a great time for my birthday! The staff was genuinely lovely and made the evening special. The food was amazing. Thank you.
Beautiful restaurant with a great ambiance. Musis volume was being turned up and down so noise level fluctuated which was the only downside. Steak and Chicken Supreme were both delicious with good portions and sides of potatoes and greens. Service was very friendly and helpful. Staff smiling and looking like they enjoy their jobs. Will definitely be back.
La Cucina was excellent in many ways. The service was great. The food was great. The atmosphere was great. But what spoiled it for me was all the conditions laid down. If you don't turn up you will be charged so much. If one of your party does not show you will be fined so much.... You have one hour and a half only etc. It read like a penal code for rules of the road. After one hour and a half we had finished the starter and the main course. We were asked if we wanted a desert.... I looked at my watch, saw that the hour and a half, the time allotted was up so decided to go elsewhere for desert. I really think you need to review all this because the service, food, ambiance etc was excellent but I was tense before the meal in case one of the party did not show, tense during the meal because of the time restraint. I love the Italian style on the continent where eating out is to forget time and to relax with friends ALL evening if you wish. Because of that I would not recommend La Cucina to a friend.
We came for dinner after having a drink upstairs at Farrier & Draper. The ambiance is very cozy, like being in a wine cellar. Our main courses were delicious, having the linguine with clams and gnocchi! Highly recommend the gnocchi! Our server was very nice!
Really enjoyable meal. Quality ingredients tastefully presented. Staff friendly and helpful. Great experience.
Great value Early Bird menu. Ideal before heading to the Gaiety. Friendly, non intrusive but attentive service. I would go back again for sure.
Came whilst on a short break away - couldn’t recommend more! The food and service were both superb. If we ever return to Dublin, we will most certainly visit! Thanks
amazing place and food!! Just maybe music in the restaurant was a little too loud
The best Italian food in the country. Highly recommend this place. Feels like your in Italy. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and beautiful interiors. Will be back for sure.
We enjoyed the whole experience throughout the visit, staff were very nice and attentive, food was delicious and portions were the right size too. I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone and I will be back for sure.
Everything was fantastic from start to finish apart from dessert. Neither tasted like they were made on site. Will definitely be back!
Have wanted to try this restaurant and I’m so glad I did. We had a party of 5 and was given a nice table that we could chat at in a cosy corner. Menu had a great variety and food and service was excellent, the prices were very good for a top city centre location. Everything was so fresh and presented impeccably. Service wasn’t rushed and we didn’t feel we were the last in the restaurant. Highly recommend it.
Early bird extremely good value and corn the most part delicious. Only thing I wasn’t huge fan of was the walnuts in the risotto, seemed to take away from the flavour. Pizzas were gorgeous and loved affagato to finish off. I thought setting was really cool and staff were lovely!!
Great restaurant. The early bird is such good value with a range of options. Venue is cosy and cool and staff could not have been more attentive.
Amazing food accompained by an amazing service made our evening unforgettable. We’ll be back for sure!
Lovely setting, very reasonable, good staff. Live music was excellent but a little too loud. Would be useful to have somewhere to hang coats.
The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the price piont was a bit high for what was on offer. Also the restaurant was quite dead, but that's more so due to the fact we were eating early.
Rude and intimidating staff. I ended up leaving before we ordered.
Three of us had lovely meals here last Saturday night. We had to wait over 20 minutes for our table, and the background noise levels were pretty loud, but it was a Saturday, I guess. The food was, as ever, very good, and their wine list is impressive.
The food was delicious, and the staff were very helpful in trying to cater to our requirements. It’s a beautiful and atmospheric restaurant. I would like to go back again for sure.
Had a lovely time with work friends, everyone enjoyed their food. Good value for 3 dishes and wine.
Best Italian in town ! Service was great, as well as the Menu !
If you happen to be in Dublin, it’s a must !
A nice little find located below Powerscourt Centre it suited my wife and I. We were treated to a lovely limoncello after our dessert when my wife had mentioned it was our wedding anniversary. I had the pappardelle which was very filling but it wasn't really for me. I had tasted my wife's pizza which was a delicious picante pizza. Great work from the waiting staff and kitchen, and it was a great day and time of year to go since there were only a few tables occupied at the time.
Had a lovely meal and the service was excellent. Great choice of wine by the waiter , food cooked perfectly and we weren’t kept waiting between courses. We sat and chatted and there was no pressure to vacate the table at the end. New favourite.....
Lovely food in a basement setting, the young lady who seated us and served us oozed Irish charm. we were there for a Bowie themed brunch, the music was great and the DJ really good and chatty,as was the cocktail server upstairs, all the staff were so professional, all in all a Fab afternoon.
Great restaurant. Music was too loud.
Lovely staff. Busy News years Eve but staff polite efficient
The space was cramped, the food was tasteless and rushed - we won't be back!
Welcoming staff but got our starter order wrong.
Portions relatively small so do not arrive hungry.
Cool venue and good music
The venue and ambience is fabulous. The food on the night we dined was limited in choice and rather inoffensive. Needed more options
Extremely busy but the staff were excellent and service was very good!
Terrible. Staff were rude when we asked to move the table (as the bar hung over the table preventing us from sitting down!). Waited ages to give our drinks order, and food took even longer. Heard another couple complain and leave- should have taken this as a warning! Fire alarm went off multiple times. We were then told the kitchen had a problem and we could only have starters. Then told it was fine. Then told it was still closed. Very unclear and stressful situation and never a proper apology from the manager. We ordered deserts (as we were starving!) which were terrible- avoid the tiramisu and miniature cheese board. We were then told the deserts were cancelled and we were getting main courses- however it was far to late -we had to leave (this was over an hour since we arrived) so we insisted on just the deserts and left. We weren’t charged for the food, but managers and wait staff never apologised to us as we left- just stood there watching us go. Stressful, uncomfortable and unfriendly- wouldn’t return!!
Beautiful decor and wonderful atmosphere! Service good but food average! Good for a group meal and the live musician was a nice touch :)
For the amount of food and the quality, the prices were not justified. Service was fine, but wasn't expecting to pay that much for what we got.
Competition provides better, more of it and cheaper
Great food, lovely atmosphere. Would definitely return!
Ok for going with kids. For was very nice. Side plate of veg was a bit "decorative". Would go again.
