La Cucina's highly skilled chefs pride themselves in keeping traditional methods of cooking. They use a range of authentic spices, herbs and recipes which have been handed down from the family; generation to generation giving you the definitive taste of Italy.
Our Premises has a comfortable and relaxing ambience providing a setting for you to dine in comfort. We thrive ons getting standards that are second to none.
The mains contained very little meat, 5 small pieces of chicken in one dish, all less than 1/2 and inch square, and were mainly pasta. The only good dish was the goats cheese starter which was huge.
Once seated, we had to wait 25 minutes for our order to be taken. However I understand that it was a busy night and all staff were very friendly. Find was also great. We were even given a delicious tiramisu free of charge! I'm coming back and recommending this restaurant to everyone.
Nice enough and worth a visit while deal is on. Whilst portions are huge and lovely for those with a large appetite - like us - the seasoning is a little underwhelming. More herbs and garlic would not go amiss.
Nice little find with huge portions and good selection. Excellent value with TT deal
Good restaurant. Nice service. Good food - quite rich. Very good value for money with open table 50% off food offer. Only issue was quite a lot of deliveries but it was a bank holiday Monday night so maybe more than usual
Food was delicious, wine was great.
Staff were very friendly and we're extremely attentive. Water glass was always full overall a very pleasant dining experience. Resteraunt is tucked away in bricklane. Will definitely be going back it was worth every penny. I recommend the king prawn and crab pasta yummy.
Waited for us even though we were late, served us delicious food and plenty of drinks and made for a very happy special occasion!
I used the OpenTable app to book La Cucina as a last minute booking. When I walked in the door with my family, we waited - to be seated, or for someone to approach us to ask about a reservation - this didn't happen so I approached the bar/desk about half way up the restaurant.
I showed the staff member my reservation - he explained there was no space. He seemed to confer with a women who didn't look at or approach me, and when he came back to me said I would have to wait about 20 minutes.
I returned to my family by the door and realised I was unsure if I actually had a booking here and there would be a table in 20 minutes - or I was coming back to check if there was a table. I approached the desk again and spoke to the woman this time who dismissed the reservation I had and said they never received it. I asked when I would be able to eat, and she suggested coming back in 30 minutes. I asked if there would be a table in 30 minutes and she said that she would hold one for me - she didn't take my name or any details.
I didn't return - and I won't.
I don't mind if something went wrong with my reservation and if it wasn't received. The dismissive attitude and ambiguity about whether I would be able to get a table at any time turned me off this restaurant.
Really disappointed
I reserved the table for 8 people, when we arrived the table wasn't ready and we waited 10 minutes at the door, until they found the reservation.
Very poor service, the waitress didn't know the menu and the allergies of it, very unprofessional, we asked few questions and she didn't know how to answer.
I ordered the pasta with crab, there were more shell than meat, as well the food of the other guests was really poor a part the pizza.
We been out from there still hungry
Visiting London and wanted to try something other than British fare. We loved everything about La Cucina!
Fantastic service, food and ambience. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants we have been to.
