La Goccia's Sage and Anchovies
Wild Garlic Risotto
Fabulous service from hello to the end. Friendly courteous and the food was just excellent!! Love how they always make the most out of the season's ingredients.
Horrendous smell! We were seated in the outdoor section and the whole area reeked of sewage. There was an abundance of incense burning to, I assume, try to combat the smell, but it was unsuccessful and we struggled through a meal with the stench of sewage all around us. Dining is a sensory experience and it’s unacceptable for that experience to include foul ambient odor.
Delicious food, excellent service, wonderful ambience - would absolutely recommend!
Lovely place to eat. A little oasis in the city. Great food and wine. Fabulous staff.
Great service with friendly staff. Delicious food. Great ambiance. Definitely will go again!
We sat in the outside garden and the atmosphere was lovely! Our waiter was very friendly and explained the menu to us pretty well. The food was tasty and filling. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the desserts as they were not to my liking.
The staff were amazing! Very knowledgeable and put you at ease immediately. Very pretty outside and the cocktails were delicious!
Perfect for a girls lunch
I enjoyed my dinner experience from my La Goccia Negroni to the caramel tart.
Lovely ambiance and service too.
Our first time at La Goccia, definitely not our last.
What a lovely little secret garden in the middle of London. Warm enough to sit outside comfortably in October with very effective patio heaters , but also very lovely inside to.
Great service From knowledgeable staff and delicious food .
Highly recommend this restaurant! It’s a gorgeous spot with an eclectic menu! The waiters are fantastic and incredibly helpful!
Everything was lovely. Staff super friendly. The only issue we had was that the anchovy dish was very salty even for anchovies. The rest of the food was superb
I love this restaurant… it’s an absolute must when in London
Outdoor seating had a nice ambiance but they haven’t quite mastered it. Almost every plate was cold within minutes of arriving at the table which was very disappointing as the flagship in Richmond is much better. I wouldn’t go again.
Fantastic food! The waiters were very polite, I recommend the outdoors if weather permits
Visiting London and was recommended to come here. The service was great! The plates were small so we got a few and our waitress was helpful in figuring out how much to get. We got just the right amount not feeling too full and we’re able to cork the wine bottle we didn’t finish to bring home. Super cute ambiance. I would say good for date night or get together with friends. I’d definitely come back!
The setting is good and the atmosphere was lively the lunchtime we were there. The service is quite friendly but not customer oriented. We asked to order in stages and were told that it was not possible as there would be long gaps between dishes. Our bottle of wine was placed in an ice bucket, shared with two other tables, and too far away for us to reach. The food was ok but not impressive . They very kindly provided a complimentary birthday dessert for me.
Great place to eat and lovely atmosphere
Enjoyed our anniversary
Awesome “tapas-style” Italian dishes m. Great, relaxed setting and excellent waiting staff who really knew the dishes and advised well. I will return
Celebrated a 50th birthday with a wonderful lunch at La Goccia. Food and service were excellent and our waiter was amazing! Would highly recommend!
Lovely outdoor decor and ambience. The food was fantastic, small plates which were grate for sharing and trying a variety of things. Think tapas, but Italian, as our waiter said. Service was great. Would be keen to return again.
We unfortunately arrived a little late, although within the grace period, but the table wasn’t ready yet. It took a while to order drinks and food, and the menu style wasn’t explained to us for quite some time. We were told the food would come in the order laid out on the menu, but an item in the middle came after we chased it following all the other items. The prices, especially when we were told 2-3 dishes per person, were incredibly expensive for what you get. The decor inside was also not particularly nice, although the outside area looked fine. I go to good restaurants in London at various price points and am rarely disappointed like this. I had heard great things about Petersham Nurseries, but La Goccia did not live up to that at all
The food is reasonably good and it's in a good pre-ROH location, which is why I have returned a couple of times. The service, however, is patchy at best. Everyone was friendly but I have consistently had dishes forgotten, the service was slow and we were essentially told they needed the table back before we had time to order pudding. I always come here hopeful, because I love Petersham in Richmond, but I am always a little let down.
Great position in the courtyard. Excellent service and interesting food.
Great food, and lovely setting, but second time in a row that the table has been less than ideal - this time a table for 2 right up against a table with 6 loud guys, one of whom until we were seated was even resting his arm on the table we were so close....
The venue also needs a cat or two as as the evening draws in there are lots of mice - for us, quite sweet, but so many to be a little disconcerting.
Lovely unrushed ambiance but confusion over our order meant that the scallops and some carrots arrived well after we’d finished our chicken, and only after we’d prompted the waiter to track them down. He thought we’d already eaten them which we hadn’t.
Excellent good and service
2nd visit in 2 months, that tells you everything!
Danno looked after us both occasions, friendly, knowledgeable & a great asset to La Goccia.
Food is fresh & great flavors. Ate outside both occasions - lunch & dinner, lovely ambience.
Would highly recommend & will visit again
I ordered the Ragu with fresh pasta and it was disappointing. Grey Ragu and crunchy "fresh pasta". I was with a special guest so did not complain or send the meal back.
Such a pity :-(
The waitress forgot our pre-dinner cocktail. There was a 20 minute gap between the last two tapas dishes
One of the best places I have been to in London!
The ambience was good but there were 100's of rates running out which spoiled the whole experience of Fine dining. After paying so much, you have to sit and deal with 100's of small mices. This was really horrific. And the staff was so normal about it.
The food is delicious and so interesting as you can try several small dishes.
The service is excellent and the ambiance very nice.
It’s our second time and although it’s expensive it’s lovely for a special treat.
The food and cocktails were amazing, staff were attentive and the restaurant has an amazing atmosphere.
Fantastic food, great service- couldn’t have had a lovelier time
Outstanding. Knowledgeable waiter and fantastic food and surroundings.
Lovely setting, food was good and our waiter was very nice, helpful and polite.
The experience was slightly ruined by the person I assume was the manager coming to our table at 19.59 to tell us he would need the table back at 8pm. This meant if we wanted dessert or coffee we would have to move inside. We decided to ask for the bill and when the manager brought this over we asked to pay 50/50. He then informed us he couldn’t work that out so one of us would need to get our phones out to do this.
Fully accept you have a turnaround time on your tables but in your restaurant this was not long enough to have a full meal. We also felt the manager, if that’s who he was, would benefit from working on his table side manner.
Lovely covered outdoor seating area surrounded by greenery. Lovely Italian food served by delightful staff. Recommended to anyone wanting a chilled out time in this little oasis.
The aesthetic’s of the location, ambience and overall vibe… Absolutely stunning!
It is such a shame when a lovely place and great food is spoiled by poor service. La Goccia is in a lovely courtyard just off Covent Garden, the food is delicious and reasonably priced by our waiter was surly and inattentive.
A great restaurant makes you feel like they are pleased to see you, La Goccia acted like you should be grateful they let you in.
