Wagyu Bar Steak
grilled wagyu top sirloin, roast baby potatoes, sauce béarnaise, gem lettuce
love this place.. sat at bar for snacks and cocktails. then moved over 10 yards to a high top for salads and french onion soup.. and pomme frites.. it was perfect.. a slight bit of confusion on who was going to wait on us (but we were not lacking love!) but otherwise.. really great .. highly recommend!
I came here with my birthday with my mom because she always walked by the area and was always curious. We both absolutely loved our meal. My mother isn't a fan of red meat but even she loved the 48oz tomahawk we ordered. We also order two appetizers and you can tell from first bite that both were made fresh. We also ordered two cocktails and two desserts. Everything was amazing. We ended up taking steak to go and they even packed it beautifully. I would definitely come back again and order something smaller for a more casual occasion.
Went for a birthday. Attentive wait staff and excellent food. Escargots and grilled lobster were done to perfection.
Great ambience, lovely restaurant. The food was ok, for the cost I thought it was pretty underwhelming. Don't think I would return.
I truly had an extraordinary evening at La Grande Boucherie.
The service and food was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection. Also, the crepes were hands down the best crepes I’ve ever had in my life. The ambience was perfect and quiet for a date with your significant other during lunch. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again.
Beautiful space, great service, good for celebrations, dates, get togethers.
Great spot - hidden, but brings the old New York to life.
The service and food is amazing. Wait staff worked great as a team and provided tremendous service and attention. Steak was terrific.
I was excited to go here, but I found that the menu was overpriced for the quality of food. It also seemed more American than French.
Expected more of a French Brasserie experience. The service was slow & way overpriced.
For how much my food cost I was very disappointed. The steak was chewy and tough and just overall had no flavor. I had heard such great things about this place too
It took quite a while for our server to approach our table. When he finally showed up, he asked first for our drink orders and then said "do you want to order your food now too?". Having waited so long for him to come over, we all ordered. Our appetizers arrived before our cocktails. I asked for lime with my cocktail and I didn't receive it with my drink so the server just speared a piece of lime with a toothpick and brought our and handed it across the table to me. After the appetizers were finally cleared (we had to ask for this to be done,) it took forever for the entrees to arrive. At one point we asked what happened to them, and the server informed us that "everything takes 30 minutes". It's absurd that this is standard policy. They never got around to clearing the plates for the entree, despite the fact that our server was basically standing around. We basically had to flag him down to ask for the check. When he finally brought it over, we had our credit card out and ready to go so we didn't have to wait for him to come back. We paid and left the restaurant, with the plates from dinner still on the table. Very diappointing.
Terrible experience, inattentive staff & overall unpleasant experience which is unfortunate as I truly wanted to love the restaurant. Never again.
This is a lovely space where you can be protected from the weather and still feel you're outdoors. The location is good for City Center, Carnegie Hall and the theater. The food is very good, but not inexpensive. The service was spotty so I'd make sure to let them know if you have a time limit.
It's a very nice restaurant for a celebration or a nice dinner.
Great place for a glass of wine and a cocktail at any time of day.
We asked for a table with more privacy and that’s what we received. Food and service all exceptional. Will definitely come back.
Everything was just amazing, food, service, ambience. Just perfect
This is the third time we have had dinner at you restaurant and we were very disappointed. Two of us ordered the steak and we specifically requested no pepper but it was served extremely spicy. One person ordered the chicken and the waiter said you were out of chicken.
the items on the menu posted online were not on the actual menu. The roast chicken at $38, on the actual menu , was not available. All of the available entrees were were $42 and above. the restaurant was over priced for a gimmick type of ambience.
Great lunch spot!!
I loved the renovation and expansion of what was Remi’s before.
The ambiance, service, food and wine were outstanding. What a great experience. We will be back.
Superb and excellent restaurant with the most impressive bar in New York City. Food and Service are on a high level. It is an experience not to be missed, particularly for a place that excels on a high scale.
Great find in the city for lunch! Lots of choices and truly a French brasserie! Will return again when in the city.
Wonderful restaurant, friendly and very attentive staff.
Our waiter Ricardo R. was great! We love the food and it is not like other fancy restaurants where you pay premium price and the food you get will not make you full. Their servings are worth the money you are paying for. We will definitely come back!
Food was great as well as the service!
The ambiance, the grandeur, the tomahawk chop that perfectly combined flavorful crust with decadent, tender steak in the middle, the exceptional service, everything combined for an exquisite bday dinner!
Excellent food and cocktails. Great ambiance. One of the dishes was not prepared properly and the staff took care of it immediately.
Food was less than satisfying. Other Boucherie locations provide better quality food.
Had dinner with two kids, the food was delicious and not very pricey.
This location is the best out of all the ones i’ve been to. The menu is a little better as well. Would recommend for brunch or for dinner. It’s a little bit of a splurge but worth the money.
Food could have been better, but the ambiance made the day. Waguy burger was on a dry side, the French fries were outstanding. The service was attentive and on point, cocktails were great
Great restaurant you must try the desserts
The staff was very attentive. The food was so delicious that we will go back. The ambience is beautiful.
Impersonal and sterile. Never really felt welcome or appreciated.
- Beautiful ambiance and decor - the atrium is nice and airy, with plants surrounding the tables.
- Food was average - fine overall, but not especially flavorful. We had the escargot (bland), mussels (decent), roast beef, sea bass, and two desserts. The loup de mer en papillote (sea bass in parchment) was the best of the dishes we tried, though the portion size was small. The chocolate mousse and the strawberry dessert were both great.
- Spacing of courses was terrible - we waited a very long time for our appetizers, and then while we were still eating the apps, the server brought our main courses. So we had to rush to finish the apps, and then they had to clear the table and reset clean plates - all while the mains were just sitting there getting cold! We were hoping for an apology for this, but no one seemed overly bothered about it. And then we waited another very long time for dessert.
Was excited to have a Boucherie in the neighborhood, especially with such a beautiful setting, but not sure I’d go back.
