Outstanding food and service. We ate family style and would highly recommend it. We will be back.
Fantastic. Giana was an incredible hostess. The Carbana is delicious. La Nonna is now one of our top South Philadelphia Italian spots. We’ll be back.
Visited this restaurant for the first time today and what a pleasure it was. The entire dining experience was excellent from the staff to the food.
I found this location on a recommendation and was so glad we tried it
The restaurant is BYOB so if you want anything stronger than soft drinks to consume you have to bring it with you.
We had a great experience! No one complained about their food ...it was all great! We will definitely come back!
Food was average. The only entree worth a second visit was the gnocchi. Also very disheartening to be asked to go to the bar after only an hour and a half into our reservation to accommodate the next party especially considerations we ordered a substantial amount.
Delicious meal and beautiful little restaurant. thank you
sausage & rabe is the best in the city..been there a dozen times and it’s *always* excellent
Appetizers and desserts were delicious. The main courses were good but the veal chop (all three of them) were tough and disappointing.
Great food and awesome service! I will be back soon!
Went to La Nonna with my girlfriend for Valentine's Day, and it was absolutely great. The 4-course, fixed menu offering not only included a wide variety of options, but was also a great value for the fixed cost ($50/person). Nothing but good things to say about the food. The lasagna was incredible and the pork dish was as well. My girlfriend loved the gnocchi as well, and they looked huge! We also both forgot that it was BYOB, which we did realize when we booked but simply did not remember after, and the waitress provided us both with a complimentary glass of wine when we laughed and told her that we weren't drinking because we forgot to bring a bottle, which was totally awesome and unexpected. Great food, great service, and really cool ambience. Probably the best Italian food I've had in the city.
We were seated immediately. Wait staff, all of them, were attentive in every way and even went out of the way to chill a beer glass for me. Food was delish!
The atmosphere was calming and quaint even though the dining room is small it was lovely and friendly. My guest and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves 😊☺️👍👍
Wonderful food in a welcoming atmosphere! Definitely recommended!
Music was too loud the past few times I have been there so when it is very busy it is difficult to hear family and friends. The food is wonderful and the service is great.
Gnocchi was THE BEST I have ever had outside of my friend’s mother’s kitchen. Pillowy light and perfectly done. Specials were all solid examples of what they were. Nothing inventive, but solid and well-portioned. Arancini, eggplant rollatini, and house-made burrata for appetizers for the table did not disappoint. Pork osso bucco special perfectly fork-tender but not falling off the bone overdone, as is often the case. Other pastas for table did not disappoint either. Cash only and BYOB so customer be aware but we really appreciated being able to bring our own wine. Great example of a cozy Italian restaurant and one we will return to try again real soon.
Excellent Restaurant Week menu. So many delicious items in a beautiful, relaxing and warm atmosphere. Involtini outstanding. Burrata- Wonderful. Gnocchi- the best around. Pork Ossobuuco (a huge portion) and Branzino were outstanding. Tiramisu- this is the real thing. A wonderful night. Our only complaint- service was very slow but on Friday night of Restaurant Week, its understandable. We’ll be back.
This place was incredible
This app should let folks know that it’s BYOB and cash only. Other than that, it’s a perfect restaurant. Great dining experience!
The Branzino was delicious! The service could use some improvement though.
Amazing food and atmosphere!! Gnocchi was to die for
One of the best Italian meals I’ve had in a long time. Went for restaurant week, sat outside on the heated deck. Great deal and the food was amazing.
Awesome experience. Great food, great service, and amazing ambience. I will definitely be back!
People, service, food and ambiance A+
One of our favorite neighborhood places! Best lamb we’ve ever had! Spaghetti and meatballs and mussels are delicious. Great for pasta, chicken , veal , seafood and excellent daily specials. Price is reasonable and BYOB!
Nice staff, food was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
The restaurant was great. The food came out in a timely fashion. The portions were huge. The service was fantastic. I will definitely be back.
We dined on a Thursday evening. It was busier than expected but quieted didn’t once a large table left. As always, the service was excellent! Food was fresh and delicious- we were both excited to have leftovers. Highly recommended- can’t wait to come back!
Love it here, perfect family and friends. Awesome food and ambiance.
Food was great. The gnocchi was divine.
great food, great service, plenty of street parking...byob helps contain the cost...get the sausage & rabe
Love la Nonna We introduced restaurant to friends. They enjoyed it too.
What a great meal!! We were three couples who thought we were going to Little Nonna’s but are so glad we ended up at La Nonna!!! Service was slow and relaxing, just perfect. Everyone loved their dishes. Salads are large and should be shared. We hard the artichoke and bursts appetizers. Main courses were chicken parm, veal chop, bronzino and more. There wasn’t a bite left.
We topped it off with the house lemoncello!!
The experience was like being in the family kitchen. Wonder experience. Highly recommend.
Would definitely recommend- food was good prices reasonable.
Very nice atmosphere.
Solid Italian food.
All around great experience. Great food and service. Family-friendly.
Service was wonderful and food was ridiculously delicious!!! Will definitely be back.
The food was amazing and the service was great! We loved the burrata and the daily special was delicious. The only complaint is that their dessert selection is poor.
Great food, great service, friendly neighborhood atmosphere.
We'll be back.
We have driven past La Nonna plenty of times and never thinking to stop in.
We were going to dine at La Fourno ... our go to Italian restaurant, but they are closed
until further notice due to a fire in the restaurant.
As fate would have it, we chose La Nonna for an evening out and we were both blown away.
Upon entering the setting is very charming and the server and manager are warm and friendly.
The food is one of the best we have eaten, we ordered salad, fried rice balls, lasagna, cannelloni,
wild boar tomato gravy with wide noodles and was even offered a complimentary glass of white wine.
Also, the lemon cake dessert was delicious.
We will be stopping back again for a wonderful dining experience.
