French Onion Soup
Lovely night out with outdoor dining. So glad to see La Sirene open. Excellent food and service - would definitely go back.
My first trip to the UWS location. Oh, the vegetable tray...
We had a very enjoyable early brunch, with fluffy omelets and fresh fruit. We would definitely return.
We’ve eaten here before. This time all the food was not as good. The pommes frites were thick and not as crispy. The filling in the cream puffs was too heavy with Grand Marnier. The best salad was good however.
Always a great meal served by helpful and friendly staff.
My sister and I had such a lovely lunch at La Sirene that I could almost forget, at least for a few minutes, that the world is still burning. However, in those minutes, I ate an omelette with caramelized onions, potatoes and chives that was wonderful! The fries were a tad too crispy and salty for my taste, but my sister's side salad was nicely dressed. I should've have ordered that - who has fries with an egg dish with potatoes in it? Our waitress was attentive, but also gave us plenty of time to sit and enjoy a beautiful New York summer day.
We had our first outdoor dinner at La Sirene UWS on the 19th. The food was absolutely spectacular, as good as ever -- perhaps even better, We started with the beet salad, followed by racks of lamb and Peche Melba. The service was wonderful -- warm, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable.
We sat at a table on West 80th Street, under the canape. It was quiet, the view was wonderful, and the gentle summer breezes added to the ambience. All in all, a wonderful, memorable, meal.
We visited for the second time for my mom’s 85th birthday. Delicious food and great service!
Food was very good and service was very friendly and attentive
A nice bit of "normal" in these times. Great food and great service. Thanks!
Had the escargot and comte cheese ravioli were to die for!!! The seafood linguine had a ton of seafood and oh sooo delicious. This is my French go to spot!
Delicious cheese ravioli appetizer. Yum! Great sliced duck with sauce. Oh my!
LaSirene has made the absolute most of their outdoor space, with cafe seating in the front and "booths" along the side. First dining out experience for us in the new normal could not have been better! Ps. Get the Steak Tartare and finish with the Croquembouche!!!
Delicious food and loved the complimentary veggie dish. Very reasonable prices as we shared 2 appetizers, an entree, dessert, and a bottle of wine for less than $150 for two. Great service and passionate about their food. We had the steak tartare, escargot, lamb chops, and peach melba. Would recommend all of these dishes as they were very tasty, fresh, and cooked/seasoned perfectly.
Always exceptional service and food. Extremely COVID19 compliant. One of my favorite rwstaurants in NYC so glad to see them thriving post COVID19 they deserve it. Can't wait to go back for more!
Wonderful meal and service. The outdoor seating is comfortable, socially distanced and nicely calm.
Food is not good, very greasy, poor quality meat. Would not recommend, especially for the price - was very disappointed.
Dear Patron, We are very sorry that we didn't live up to your expectations. We want to assure you that our chef goes the extra mile to select the best quality ingredients he can source, especially with meats, and we partner with reputable distributors such as North American Meats or Paris Gourmet. If you give us another chance, please make sure to let your server know if anything isn't right and we will always make it right immediately. Respectfully, Benjamin La Sirene
Very pleasant restaurant. Excellent paté de campagne and wonderful croquembouches for dessert (and two of them were great for breakfast the next morning!). Friendly service. Nice setup, with little cabana-type barriers set up to keep social distance between diners.
This was our first dining experience since covid began and it was such a wonderful evening. We were celebrating our anniversary and could not have asked for a more perfect evening. Our server Julio was very charming and attentive. The food was also fabulous. We will definitely be returning.
Amazing meal - at first glance the prices for brunch were higher than I expected, but then I realized that there were multiple sides that come with each main course. So good and such kind/conscientious staff. Can't wait to come back.
We ate at La Sirene during phase 2...so we ate outside. The food was delicious. The service was excellent and prompt...attentive without being overly attentive. Because we ate outdoors (which was very pleasant) the noise level was entirely dependent on the amount of traffic in the street (which was light to moderate). I have in the past and will continue to recommend this restaurant highly....it is a real French restaurant.
We were dining outside because of the pandemic, so can’t comment on noise and ambiance, but the service was excellent. My wife’s fish du jour was perfectly cooked and overall excellent. My coq au vin was a bit dry, so not giving it a five, but the sauce was excellent. The vegetables on the side for the table were perfectly cooked and very interesting. Overall a very good experience and we will certainly be going again
The food and service were superb. Our waitress Anna was very attentive, helpful and very sweet. This is our new favorite restaurant. The chef is exceptional! Everything we ordered was delicious.
I have dined here often and I will continue to dine here for excellent French food and good service.
I didn’t expect the good quality of the food. We ordered rabbit (mustard sauce) and hand steak, both were delicious and soft. Also the service was excellent, they’re friendly and the recommend a great wine as well.
The staff did such a nice job of making dining outdoors a lovely and positive experience. The food was perfect, the Aperol Spritz is a treat and it was a such a nice time.
If you're looking for an authentic French restaurant experience in NYC, La Sirene UWS is for you. I had the beet salad with apples and brie, the black bass with sauteed spinach and carrot puree, and the giant profiteroles for dessert. Everything was superb. The portions were generous and the prices quite reasonable. The service was excellent and the chef even came out to say hello and make sure that everything was to my satisfaction. They have a a nice selection of outdoor seating until indoor dining is permitted, and it's great for people-watching. An absolute gem on the UWS.
Brings make memories of the perfect French bistro!
Had a wonderful Birthday meal at La Sirene. The food was incredible and the service impeccable. The tables were under an overhang, which was nice since it had rained a bit earlier. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.
I wish the chef had resisted the urge to sweeten that which did not need sweetening. The goat cheese tarte would have been very good without the sweet grape confit that lay underneath. As served, the confit was distracting and detracting.
Really delicious meal, nice street side setting for our first outdoor dining experience
A real find. No need to go downtown for a first rate bistro. Excellent food with some unusual choices, like beef tongue, and a cassoulet that would make a cardiologist faint but a foodie grin. The baked pear with blue cheese is way more delicious than the sum of its parts. The croque monsieur, ravioli, and beef tartare are also excellent. I’ll be back at La Sirene soon.
Food outstanding ; outside quiet ; don’t go after it’s dark - there are rats out there.... kinda dampened the enjoyment
Everything as expected. Recommended!
Delicious, fresh and delicately prepared. Lovely service. So happy NYC is coming back :)
Made great use of space available given CoVid circumstances. Staff were very friendly, attentive and food was exceptional.
Great experience. Food excellent and service outstanding. I will make La Sirene a breakfast place stop on future visits to NY.
I met a visiting friend from Ohio at La Sirene UWS. The breakfast was so good that we decided to meet there for dinner the next time that she visits New York. I had the delicious French pastry, a café au lait, and an egg white omelet. She had coffee, scrambled eggs with ham, and a remarkable bowl of berries. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was spectacular, and prices were quite reasonable. We got out for under $50, including tip.
As usual, great food and service. The filet mignon was wonderful.
Wonderful spot. Delicious food. Fantastic ownership and staff.
