I love this restaurant - the food is always good and the Beetroot and Ricotta Gnocchi was outstanding. A little too empty to start but its one of my favourite Italian restaurants in London.
We were looking for excellent food at a reasonable price that was located near our meeting at the Wellcome Trust. Indeed Tagliata was a quiet place with excellent service and generous portions. The appetizers were sufficient to serve 2 people, and both eggplant dishes were delicious. They also had a good selection of wines.
This was a simply wonderful find for our final dinner. Fantastic service, delicious food and a very reasonable price tag! Highly recommended.
Very average, service was slow and food not great
Ristorante raffinato in un angolo di Fitzrovia. Qualità medio alta, ma a Londra si trova di meglio a prezzi più bassi.
Splendid authentic Italian food. Simple fresh ingredients cooked well and with love
Great placed, se went there twice on a weekend trip!!
Really nice and a handy location.
Food was ok but small portions and a bit overpriced. Whoever the ingredients are originally from Italy. Service was nice. The restaurant is quiet and nice to chill and talk.
Excellent food, lovely restaurant-not too noisy which was perfect for the occasion
A nice little Italian restaurant offering very good food in relaxed surroundings.
Excellent king prawns for starters and my tagliatelle steak with rocket, tomatoes and rosemary roasted potatoes was perfectly cooked and delicious.
My wife said her crab meat linguine was also fabulous.
Good wine too, but not cheap!
Friendly and very efficient service.
Quite quiet on the evening we visited which meant a subdued atmosphere but still very enjoyable.
The Linguine seemed a bit congealed but otherwise was good. The staff and service is excellent
Well looked after by staff. Good wine list. Enjoyed our meals.
Always great food and lovely staff.
Excellent Italian. Friendly staff parking on yellow line outside after 7pm
Small portions but lovely food. Panna Cotta was fabulous. Wine expensive by the glass. Will go again but bit expensive for regular dining
Wonderful new Italian spot with delicious food, great wine, and very professional and fast service. Every time I've visited with colleagues and friends not one person was disappointed. We've tried the homemade pastas and they are delightful, but I also heard pretty rave reviewed about their steaks from folks in my party. Highly recommend trying this spot out!
FANTASTIC FOOD, COSY AND RELAXING ATMOSPHERE, AMAZING SERVICE!
We had a great experience start to finish at La Tagliata Fitzrovia on Saturday night, enjoying authentic and fresh Italian food and wines, with brilliant service and friendly staff who were very knowledgeable and keen to make our experience excellent.
Also my husband who is celiac and very often has only few options to choose from the menu was able to indulge in a tasty and succulent three course meal.
As a very demanding Italian diner I truly recommend La Tagliata!!!
All is good but the pasta portions are rediclulously small for the price; starter sizes with main meal prices. It tastes great but very very small and not value for money. At least twice the amount is required to justify the price.
I went there with my daughter and boy friend, we had a very relaxed and enjoyable evening. The staff were very professional and friendly and the food was superb. I had the tuna steak which was prepared and presented to perfection. Wine was excellent. Price was slightly more than I would have expected but in terms of value for money overall I'm more than satisfied.
Good service and excellent food. Well worth a visit.
Love this restaurant. Cosy find Delicious food and great service. Definitely recommend
The food was amazing, I had an authentic Bolognese pasta and a great tagliata cooked medium-rare as I asked. Wine list was impressive with a great selection of Italian wines, we went for a bottle of red wine that is from mount Etna in Sicily. I would definitely recommend this place!
Really high quality. Not the usual tat for tourists. Very, very impressed. Best Italian I’ve eaten in a long time.
Great food and wine. Friendly atmosphere. Would go back.
This was our first visit to this restaurant, but it will not be our last. The chef uses only fresh ingredients, the food is cooked to perfection, and presented artfully. Service is prompt and friendly, and questions are welcome. Terrific!
Beatiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere.
Simple food but without doubt with excellent quality. Very tasty the salmon tartare, exceptional beef fillets tagliata with truffle oil and pink salt.
The Italian manager recommended us excellent wines to match the meal and the waiter Bogdan was very friendly and professional.
No doubt we will be back as soon as possible.
Finally a genuine and quality Italian restaurant.
we had an enjoyable lunch here & would go back. There was an animated discussion with the waiter who was so enthusiastic to look after those dining here & saw it as his mission to do so. This created a welcoming atmosphere. The food was good, it was inexpensive & we'd love to go back
I’ve known La Tagliata since their first opening in the City. I was very keen to try their new location in Fitzrovia and I must say that I am absolutely impressed by the high standard carried by the manager and the staff in general. I’ve ordered the tuna tartare as a starter and the tuna tagliata as a main course. The manager Fabio adviced me to have a glass of Vermentino and I have to say that the combination was great. The food was outstanding and very well presented. The restaurant is elegant and the overall experience is truly Italian. I will definitely go back to La Tagliata, whether for a lunch with a colleague or a dinner with friends.
This restaurant was trying too hard. It smelt like toilets and although the staff were incredibly lovely, as there were only 3 tables with people actually eating at them, the service was incredibly slow
Great food and wine , excellant cocktails , comfortable surroundings and friendly helpful staff ! Definately worth tbe visit , will return.
Business lunch meeting.
Good food and ambiance, would recommend.
This restaurant supersedes a long-standing Sardinian restaurant, Sardo, on the same site, which I had always enjoyed, and this was my first try of the new place. Although the menu is very different overall, there is still a Sardinian pasta dish on the menu (linguine alla bottarga) which was delicious, even better than Sardo's. We ordered antipasti and primi piatti (pasta), and had intended to go on to try the secondi piatti (various forms of tagliata), but were so sated and satisfied that we never got that far. All the food we did have was excellent, and there is a good selection of wines. But although the portions were generous, it is not a cheap place to eat.
food was excellent, and service very good, not intrusive. Only issue about ambience is the background music. But this is in so many places... people go to dinner to eat and talk to their friends, not to be forced to hear music they have not chosen and that intrudes on the evening.
Excellent quality of food, well presented. Tried the steak and tuna tagliata and both were delicious
As a former regular at Sardo, I was keen to see what La Tagliata had to offer. The linguini al granchio was a great starter - very good flavours and the special lamb tagliata was well executed and may end up on the permanent menu. Choosing a desert of Tiramisu was unadventurous but definitely authentic. The service was friendly and attentive and pricing reasonable for the quality. The décor is smart and cosy and there's a new wine bar next door for pre-dinner drinks
Very impressive venue, with very friendly and well- trained staff. The menu is not extensive although there is plenty of choice, and there are weekly specials ( including creamy and soft burrata and tasty lamb ). Recommended for a special night out...
Excellent food, not normal run off the mill italian. Wine recommended by the waiter was fantastic. Service was very attentive and we never felt rushed to finish meal - unlike most West End restaurants.
The front of house staff are very friendly and respond appropriately to diners needs in a calm and meticulous way. This is matched by the quality of the food on offer and, having eaten there twice this week due to unusual business circumstances, i now know that the Specials Menu changes some of what is on offer each day !
Definite recommendation without hesitation for a relaxing yet sophisticated dinning experience.
Authentic Italian food, friendly staff and a great wine selection too.
The stake was one of the best I had in years - highly recommended.
Overall a great experience.
