Great pizzas made in a proper pizza oven. Very tasty and lovely they marked our 19 years together and my 40th with very cute dessert plates!

The menu is fairly limited with just a hand full of starters and deserts, and only pizza as choice for mains. However, the calamari we shared as a starter was superb (light, fresh and tender) and the pizzas were of a standard that you’d expect to find in any great independent local Italian pizzeria, almost perfect but the crumb and crust needed more salt. The Tiramisu was on point, really light and creamy and certainly one of our best. What let the evening down was the general service, which we found to be clumsy and absent minded, from incorrect drink order, forgetting cutlery and glasses to lacking any presence. We were also surprised that there was no reference made to a comment I put in the original booking of our Anniversary (Why have the requests there?) With our experience of the service somewhat at odds with the brand of Four Seasons, I would say it’s going to be hit and miss, which is a shame as the food is actually really great.

Pizza itself was delicious. Our waitress was lovely. Aside from this, our experience was appalling. The service was indescribably slow - our pizzas took over 1.5 hours to be served from the point of ordering (we didn’t have starters). Tables around us, that sat down after us, had a starter, main & had left, whilst we continued to wait for our food. During the 3 hours we were at the restaurant, we were offered drinks twice & had to request our water glasses to be filled several times. Due to the wait, our waitress did offer us complimentary deserts to try however, by this point we just wanted to leave. Our reservation was booked for 19:15 & we left the restaurant at 22:20 having had 2 drinks & a pizza. Our experience was not what we expected from an establishment like the Four Seasons.

The pizzas were very good but the service was a major letdown. We had to look for someone every time we wanted to order something…and even then we had to chase up our initial water order as only the sparkling bottle had been brought and not the still. By the time the pizzas arrived no-one had cleared away our starter plates even though we had finished some time before. It fell a long way short of what should be Four Seasons standards.
