The food is fantastic, the best place to have a few drinks and small plates with friends and have a good conversation. However, the noise leave is so high that talking is impossible. The ventilation was awful too. We smelled like food after. I wish the ambient were much better, so we would go back.
Very Authentic Spanish dining !
Apparently they do serve oysters but they are not in the menu so if your server does not tell you about it, which was our case, we did not know that they had oysters.
The Paella pricing is not very clear. It says it is a minimum order of 2, but the pricing is set for 1 person. Confusing.
Overall nice place but very pricey. The patatas bravas are 12 dollars, and they are just potatoes that you can buy for 50 cents.
Food was mediocre at best
Made a reservation for Valentines Day for high top seating. Gave us seating at the bar instead...Beware when making reservations - even though there is a choice between standard, bar, counter, and hightop, a hightop is the same as at the bar apparently!
The food was awesome! Such amazing quality and flavour explosions. The decor and atmosphere was lovely. All our servers were absolutely amazing. Special shoutout to Kaia for making our visit phenomenal. We had a great time at Labora for Valentines.
The food was really delicious! We got the croquettes, rib eye, octopus and wagyu paella and everything was great. Our server was very knowledgeable and helped us pick out enough food (even told us when we were ordering too much!). Overall an amazing evening, would highly recommend.
Second time there- a year apart. The tapas was ok, but we had the seafood paella as a main.... not good. The paella was poor, poor flavour, especially the rice component.
Very disappointing both experiences.
The service was attentive and very good....only the food disappoints.
Too bad. Hope they can improve.
Every dish was authentic, fresh, and delicious.
Perfect for an intimate date night. If ambiance is important to you you will love this space. Food is always very pleasurable.
This is one of the finest Spanish cuisine restaurants in Toronto. Their unique versions of standards are outstanding! The service is also amazing. Lovely experience.
Really enjoyed our dinner here! Food was excellent, and servers were very kind. The only complaint I have is that our water was not refilled for most of the night beyond providing the first bottle of tap water.
Great food and nice ambiance. Server was very helpful in providing suggestions. Wasn't noisy when we got there but by 7:30 pm the place was full and a bit hard to speak to my guest without raising my voice. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
Good food. Churros were amazing. The service was friendly, but inattentive which was particularly frustrating since we were one of only 2 tables in the entire restaurant.
Great vibe, awesome staff, yummy food - go hungry!
Great food and great ambience.
I waited at the door for over 10 min to be seated. Then another 20 min to take my order. I have been here many times and think that this must be an off night as usually this is not an issue.
The food was not bad, but certainly not great. The service was not bad, but certainly not great. The restaurant had several tables of groups of millennial boys hooting and snorting so ambiance sucked. The food is way overpriced. Not going back.
The wagyu paella was incredible - everyone loved it - it’s my coworkers new favourite. The tomato bread was super light and crispy as always - Labora is the only place in town that does it properly!
Celebrated a birthday here and had a fantastic experience. Service was relaxed, comfortable, and attentive. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and we were very happy with his recommendations. Food was amazing and very high quality. Overall great value for King West dining and would highly recommend.
Went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The overall experience was great. Staff was extremely friendly, polite and knowledgeable. We had the croquettes and chorizo to start. Both were very tasty but lacked the authenticity of a true Spanish dish and portions were small and pricey for the servings. The croquetas has a bit too much cream filling and the chorizo was thin sliced too much for our liking and not what we’re used to. We had the paella Valenciana and the Waygu beef one. Absolutely delicious! Portions were very generous and had to take food home. These dishes were excellent and I would go there to have them again.
-Attentive and knowledgeable staff provided prompt service and excellent recommendations (items and portion sizes).
-Great atmosphere - lively and energetic
-Food was delicious
-Non- alcoholic cocktails ( special request- not menu listed ) were overpriced, untimely and underwhelming.
The Seafood paella was absolutely fantastic. The lamb ribs were equally impressive.
The wine list is extensive, but the non-alcoholic drink list (mocktails) was a bit short. They couldn’t make what I ordered but it wasn’t a problem. They made something else up on the fly that they thought I would like and hit the bullseye.
The service was excellent and never intrusive.
They also brought out a delicious creme brûlée as my wife’s birthday cake.
The restaurant itself is just down from the theatres on king street so it was a great place to fuel up and relax between work and the show.
(One final plug for this place if it is important to you, is that our entire meal was delicious and gluten free without putting any effort into reading the menu...)
One of my guests never received his food order, the vintage wine i ordered was a 2017 (as per the menu), however i was served a 2018 vintage (which might not make a difference to most people...but does to me). Overall, the server comped one of the tapas and discounted the wine, so they did apologize and made efforts to fix things which was appreciated.
Excellent tapas. Nice atmosphere - serenely quiet on a Sunday night.
Sunday night. Quiet. Attentive service.
Well done great fish of the day
I love this place. The food is amazing and the service and ambiance are terrific.
Great food, had no problem splitting bills among 5 people, server was great - could have been more attentive but still good. They did a birthday dessert which was great and rare to see in these types of restaurants.
Food was too salty and service was a little slow when the restaurant wasn’t full.
Food is delicious, table seating is quite tight as the paella dish is huge so not too much space for other dishes. Server is attentive, will definitely go back to try out other things on the menu
Great space. Friendly and helpful staff, food was delicious. Will definitely return.
This was our second time here and was just as amazing the second time!! Sat at the Chef table both times.
Always a great experience. More tapas selection and an update of the menu would be appreciated
Authentic Spanish cuisine in a cosy, candlelit room with option for table, counters or bar seating. Great paella, fish, steak, pan con tomate, patatas braves, salads, and charcuterie, all perfect for sharing. Excellent cocktails and wine selection. This was about our 6th time eating dinner there and we recommended it family and many friends. We've always been happy with the service too.
We had a great experience. The restaurant is spacious and airy with beautiful decor.
It was a great place for a business lunch. The salads were outstanding, entres excellent, desserts to die for and the service excellent. Will come back again, for certain.
