Amazing food and service! Really good selection of wines and nice atmosphere.
What a lovely authentic charming place. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food superb and the wine DEVINE!! highly recommend!!
Excellent location near Covent Garden but not in the middle of the crush. Feels to me like being in France (that's a plus in my book), with superb choice of well-kept cheeses and charcuterie among other gastronomic pleasures - and great wines. Welcoming interior. A relatively small number of tables so quite intimate.
Delicious late lunch - salad and s glass of wine, with roasted aubergine and baked cheese. Perfect place to catch up with a friend after Dior exhibition. Thank you
Phenomenal wines, friendly service, and top-not service. Although everything was incredible, I don’t feel the price tag was warranted.
I love the concept of this wine bar, promoting women wine makers. Feminism & wine, what’s not to love? It’s a cute place with lovely staff. Try it out!
I was disappointed to see a wine bar all about women being run by men! Even though they were very nice!
I also thought it was very pricey and the wines by the glass selection was a little disappointing.
Dear Emma, We are for parity and we accept anyone who have the talent and skills to work with us. Our team is composed of men and women. I hope your over all rating is not because of the gender fo our staff. I am Carole Bryon, the owner of the place. I am working there almost every day but sometimes, I also take an evening off ;) that's why you didn't see me the other day. If you come back you will maybe have the chance to be served by myself or one of our female team members!
The wines we tried weren't that impressive... but the prices were astonishingly high. They must be marking things up 4x or 5x. I didn't think it was good value for money. The bottles were in the £75+ range. I was with a wine expert whose business was distributing fine French wines, and she was no more impressed with it than I was. The service was decent, and the food was acceptable. I won't be back though... there are better-priced, better-value wine-tasting bars and restaurants in London.
Hi, We are sorry that you couldn't find the wine you wanted in our 180 offered ones at the price you expected. Our wines on the list start from £26 and the average price for a bottle is around £45. You can review our wine list on our website and see that our price range is wide and offer a great range of products. Our team is always available to recommend you the best wines in the price and taste range you are looking for.
Great place to go to eat good food with friends and superb wine!
Short staffed die to illness so everything took a long time or didn't arrive. Had to keep asking for water for the table as everybody kept forgetting. Food was expensive for what it was. Disappointing.
I asked for a wine flight with vegan food and they were so pleased to adjust the meal for me although there were no vegan options on the menu. I say put a vegan wine flight on the menu--it will be a huge hit!
Interesting/great wine, but not the widest variety if you're a nerd. Love the philosophy.
Staff is lovely.
Only down-side, french restaurant must have much better bread (it was average). And more wines/vintages per region
Try it out for sure.
Wine and service was great. Some of the food was a little underwhelming.
This is a spectacular establishment, I can’t rate it highly enough, on so many levels it delivers in a very rich way. Service, expertise, ethos, food and of course incredible wines. Incredibly affordable too.
Absolutely loved it! The experience was so personal and the wine and food were great. I will definitely be returning!
Company was average, food was cheesy and wine was orange. All in all wonderful.
Loved this place when it was Encant and Lady of the Grape has maintained great atmosphere despite tiny size of venue. Food very good.
Service was very poor but atmosphere lovely. Good wines (obviously). Portions could be bigger.
Folks need to know it is not an English Pub, but more of a trendy wine bar. It is also not quite a restaurant; more tapas. But the wine list is good, as is the service and it was overall a good experience and enough food with an excellent fondue and charcuterie board.
A bit pricey for a glass of wine, but a lovely little space in the heart of Covent Garden serving lovely French nibbles and tasty plates of food. Disappointed a few things had run out on the night but all cooked fresh to order. Definitely a place to go in pairs as a bit small for groups.
Some lovely wines and a great choice - £7-11 for a 125ml glass.
Food nice, small plates. I’ve had better more creative food at the same price though.
Lovely atmosphere - feels like it’s been there forever.
Service was non existent though. At 8.30 felt like they were keen to shut up shop rather than take another wine order. We weren’t the only ones to notice or comment on this.
I came for the wines and was surprised by the quality of food. It was divine! I couldn’t recommend it more. Great price for quality too. This place is an heaven.
Just had wine. Really nice atmosphere and service was very attentive.
Lovely place! Amazing service and great wine. Didn't have any food but the menu had a good offer to pair with the wines.
Very nice small wine bar - very cozy (i.e., you'll be close to your neighbour!) - with great selection of interesting wines and knowledgeable staff. Food was fine - but you'll not go there for the meals. Bit expensive, but then you are in Covent Garden neighbourhood.
The service, wine and food was great. Overall really good and already planning to go back with another group of friends.
We had a lovely time in this small find in convent garden. The staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. The Prosecco was extremely nice.
Just what we hoped, lovely selection of wines and the ambience was lovely
Went for a first date.
Absolutely lovely atmostphere
Food and wine selection was splendid
Staff were incredibly helpful and polite
Super cute place
Would go again
Small, cramped space - don't sit at the table near the door!
Food average, portions small for price
Not enough wine bottle choice under £30
Great venue to catch up with friends
This is a nice little place for a glass of wine and some snacks. The food was good but not excellent, at times it felt underseasoned and so lacked the flavour that the description of the dishes promised. Definitely worth a visit for a casual meeting with friends.
Lovely decor. Great wine list championing female wine makers but I did consider the wine over priced.
Food was very good and reasonable price for the location.
Service was fairly disappointing - no assistance provided with the menu or recommendations made. Waitress was quite stand-off-ish with us.
Interesting menu with wide and interesting wine choices. The service was good and the staff anxious to engage customers about the unique wines and food preparation. We look forward to returning on our next trip to London.
Great bar and restaurant in Covent Garden with amazing organic wine list from predominantly female wine makers. Food was authentic french style with high quality ingredients. Service was really friendly and personal. Very highly recommended.
Lady of the Grape is a very small, cozy French restaurant with tables close together and informal service. The wine is not consistently good, so choose carefully. The food was generally good, rich French food but came out in no particular order. We ate tapas style which worked well enough, but we all felt hungry after the theatre.
The wine, cheese and charcuterie are very nice but the other dishes are expensive for the area given the portion sizes.
Hi Kathryn, Sorry to hear that you did not enjoyed the evening. As we said when you were waiting for your order to arrive, the chef had some delays due to a lot of orders at the same time. We are really sorry to see you mark us with 2 stars even after giving you for free extra raclette cheese, offering the fritters and a carafe of wine (and you did not paid the gratuity). We thought this would compensate for the delays, but this if you have further suggestions please let us know how to improve.
Awesome win, but the food is a bit of a side thought.
An excellent new find. Have already recommended to all my friends!
Very disappointing : over priced, it looked like it was frozen food or premade (the ganache tart was cold and the dough was so white, seriously ?!), the snails were big but the sauce had much less Flavour than expected... For a french restaurant (I'm french myself), I was expecting more quantity and generosity. Also, we waited for an hour for our food (tapas quantity !!) to be served (even the few slim slices of mediocre comté took 40 minutes) Apparently it was bad Luck, their usual chef wasn't around.
Good points : the wine was absolutely delicious, and the staff applied a discount because we were really disappointed.
Guys, I think you really need tout make an effort on the food you serve : at a price like this, it needs to be perfect. You have a lot of competitors in Covent Garden.
I won't go back.
Hi Astrid We are very sorry about your experience. We take every feedback very seriously. All our food is fresh and made in the restaurant, quality is a very important part of our service. Unfortunately on this day our usual kitchen staff was unavailable and we tried our best to ensure everyone would still enjoy their evening. We applied a discount as our way to apology for any inconvenience caused. We would be very happy to have you come back with a free glass of sparkling wine.
