Langan's Brasserie Ratings and Reviews
Always a pleasure to come back to an old favourite - pleasant atmosphere, comfortable and familiar surroundings and attentive, friendly staff as always. Food is always good and a great place for a long lunch through the afternoon. Nice to see the same staff, always feels like coming home. Back for lunch again next week. Well done.
Another excellent visit to Langan's who continue to offer their no nonsense tasty everyday food. The staff are excellent in terms of service and professionalism, and enhanced our visit to the restaurant.
I will be back very soon to enjoy the Langan's experience once more!
A wonderful evening with good food and excellent warm and professional service. I have not visited Langan’s for many years as I now live outside the UK but was happy and reassured that it was just as great as I remembered. Happy to recommend Langan’s over any newer and new fangled restaurant belonging to the younger hip generation. My New Yorker companion was equally impressed.
We had a really lovely lunch at Langan's. The food was excellent. It's comfort food done well.
We all started with the iconic spinach souffle which were fluffy and light, and the anchovy sauce was delicious.
Then steak & mushroom pie (just as it was inb the old days); liver & bacon, and a great big sole meuniere.
I had to have the treacle tart; and my guests had Peter Langan's Welsh Rarebit - which was delicious.
The wine is sensibly priced and we had a Close Rene, which was really good value - I've seen it elsewhere for £30 more expensive !
The staff were friendly and attentive and there was no rush to move us on.
There was a smattering of famous faces - so people watching was good.
Overall an excellent afternoon - long may it flourish.
Never fails to deliver on great food, service, friendly waiters and a buzzing atmosphere. We even got a special birthday desert for my partner served to our table as I’d mentioned in the. Poking it was his birthday. Can never fault Langan’s! A West End favorutite!
Lovely place & food, service was great & brilliant ambience, great place to go for celebrations, restaurant was full by the time we left & it was buzzing. Our waiter was so professional, he didn't miss a thing & constantly topped up our glasses. A fabulous night, will definitely be going again.
Our first visit to this London icon was a great success. Calm, efficient service, excellent food, good wine choice and pleasant atmosphere. The Souffle starter was delicious and both salmon and liver precisely cooked and served with wonderful Savoy cabbage and gratin dauphinois. Well above expectations for a ‘tourist venue’. We will use it again.
Langan's has my wife and I as new regulars. We enjoy the large, airy dining room. Everywhere the art features people, portraits, mementos of the staff and the fabled guests. The service from front to farewell strikes a genuine tone of warm professional. And the food, based on dinner and Saturday lunch in one week, achieves with genial skill a fusion of French brasserie and British traditional. We experience joy when we enter, and gratitude with regret when we leave. Recommend highly.
Never disappoints and consistency means everything at this place. Its like that favourite pair of slippers you put on when you are relaxing for the evening. Great service, top food and a diverse and interesting wine list. Not so cheap but hey, sometimes you just pay to enjoy the best!.
I used to visit Langan's regularly in the early 90s. The formula hasn't changed much since then and it works. Quality without stuffiness in pleasant and airy surroundings. The plate of canapes for my wife on her birthday after the main course was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated.
