Renowned for its warm greeting and super friendly service, the Brasserie's Anglo-French cuisine has been a favourite with a star studded clientele that has included Frank Sinatra, HRH Princess Margaret, Mohammed Ali, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, and Diana, Princess of Wales.
The interior is full of distinctive artworks and the restaurant has been a regular haunt of emerging artists including Francis Bacon and David Hockney.
The brasserie menu features traditional British dishes like Langan’s bangers and mash, cod & chips, and potted shrimps. The spinach souffle is a must. Among long-running London restaurants, Langan’s is a star.

Was for my wife’s birthday. We were made to feel very welcome . Awesome service, great food, all sung happy birthday and a complimentary desert for her, was great.
Langans is our special place for a treat and it never disappoints
Food is pretty bad. Very salty and dry.
I love this place. The ambience is warm and friendly, it's a mixture of all kinds of people - couples, family groups, executive types. Service is excellent and the food delicious. They make you feel welcome.
Wonderful as usual
It was our son's 40th b'day celebration and the service including singing happy birthday by your team was second to none

As someone who has been going to Langans for 30 years plus the thing I notice is the service levels have dropped.
Front of house still good.
Waiter nowhere near the level of the past restaurant.
Food was good, which is the main thing.
For the price I’ll give you 5 better options now easily.
Will still go back as it’s an institution.
Lanagan's always' gives what I expect of it. Good brasserie food at reasonable prices (considering where it is). On the day, the front-of-house staff could have been more pleasant but suspect this is a one-off and down to an individual. Mostly the staff are polite and helpful.
A good buzz throughout but quite enough to have a conversation with my fellow diners. Always a good menu selection with no pretentions.
Looking forward to my next visit already.
Food was very good, prices have to be taken in context of the location. However, if I spend upwards of £80/head on dinner, a £2/head cover charge is an insult on top of a £50 service charge - if there was a server anywhere near me at any point, I might have been able to make this point at the time, but it will dissuade me from booking again despite all the positives.
An extensive menu , attentive staff without being too intrusive . This was our return visit and we were not disappointed just as welcoming and delightful.
Service and ambience was good but the food was not up to the mark except the starters.
We started with Grilled asparagus with truffled mash, poached egg & lime hollandaise it was really good the best part of the night.
Main course we had the Pan fried duck breast with creamed Savoy cabbage and Stir fried John Dory with mange tout & ginger with a soy butter sauce we had gone with an expectation of French cuisine but the sauce was extremely watery which spoilt the taste.
The wine selection was good and we were suggested a really good red wine.
I love the fact that this restaurant opened in 1976 and is still going strong. The atmosphere and decor are great and importantly the tables are not too close together. The service is exemplary without being overbearing. One of our party had food allergies and the staff were well informed and helpful in this regard. Another guest mistakenly ordered a side of creamed spinach ( thinking he had seen it on the menu). The waiter obviously asked the kitchen to specially prepare it for us and this dish arrived a few minutes later. We had lovely kir royal and peach Bellini in the bar prior to sitting down.
Been going here for years. Never disappointed. Special place. Good food, wine served by friendly courteous staff. What’s not to like.
Not exciting throughout, from a cheap aperitive with chips, despite a bottle of champagne.
Very good food and a fabulous atmosphere. Service was impeccable only slight problem was they added another tables bill to ours but it was quickly rectified. Would definitely recommend it.
Have been to this restaurant many times and never fails to deliver, a classic London venue.
Fabourite eating place . Lovely friendly staff. nothing too much trouble. Made to feel welcome
Great food - steak and kidney suet pudding with mash and mushy peas really hit the spot !
I normally dine at my club when down for the but will definitely revisit - it was busy on a Wednesday evening so must be doing something right.
We liked it. A lot. The tables are not packed close together, the noise level allows for conversation and the food was delicious. Friendly waiters too.
Tolles Ambiente, perfekter Service
For a chance to experience traditional service and dining we do not think you could choose a more suitable venue and we heartily recommend Langans.
Food was very poor and I have earen far better pub food. Such a shame. Too many ither good places to try.....
Very friendly atmosphere.
Great lunch time venue.
Always rate Langhams as a great place to meet as its central and has a range of food dishes that satisfies most people. Service was attentive but not in your face. They made a great choice of wine to go with our meal. Food came freshly cooked and promptly. Never lets me down when we come here.
One of the best dining room ambience in the west end, langans always delivers and gets approval from my guests.
Our favorite spot! Lively and fun. Wonderful food as always!
Amazing food and very friendly and professional staff. Will definitely be returning.
We visited on Saturday 25 May and, as always, the service was second to none. I pre-ordered the Beef Wellington and this was cooked to perfection. All the food on the night was appreciated by the four people in our party. The room was filled with the buzz of everyone having a good time and was not spoilt with unnecessary 'background' music. Please keep it up Langan's Brasserie and we will be back again to enjoy even more of your great hospitality.
Booked at very short notice on opentable and everything was excellent.
Cannot fault the lovely staff who were so accommodating. The menu choice was so varied, which makes it affordable for all to enjoy. The drinks and cocktail selection had plenty of choice. The atmosphere was buzzing but not over noisey.I had the beef wellington which was excellent and I did not want to come to the end of my meal. I will certainly be back to try some of the other meals available and another expresso martini.
As always, an excellent experience! Highly recommended.
Langan's feels like it's pricier than I remember in the past, and my dish (calf's liver and bacon) was ok but not great. Service was very good, however.
Always a pleasure to eat here having been a customer since the opening
Overall food and service was very good. The only drawback was there were several large boisterous groups the evening we visited. We asked to be reseated which they did gladly and immediately. Other than that it was an enjoyable evening.
Sadly the food disappointed and has not improved since the 90’s, hence overtaken by the competition. Service was rushed and surly. The seafood salad was insipid and swimming in oil. Steak and mushroom pie was ok but the mash was dry and unappealing in colour. Cheese selection was both light on content and quantity. The room maintains its charm and the atmosphere is buzzy. We enjoyed visiting Langan’s after many years away but unfortunately the food quality needs to improve dramatically if it is to return anywhere near the top of the rankings.
My Wife and I had a lovely night with my two sisters who were in Langans for the first time
Several years since last visit but pleasantly surprised that the special ambiance and efficiency remembered from before are still there in abundance. Food and drink very good but strongest features for me were the warmth of service and surroundings.
Our first visit to Langan's - had just finished Michael Caines new book & decided was a 'must' as the book
was most entertaining & had many references to Langan's which he established back in 1976 I think.
Cracker situation right across from Green Park underground station & just one stop from Piccadilly Circus for Shows. We look forward to our return visit next year - we are kiwi visitors.
I have been visiting Langans since it opened - always great and somehow the standard has been maintained over all those years.
The staff were very attentive without being intrusive, the atmosphere is relaxed and extremely welcoming.
The food is excellent and you must try there cocktails!
I always enjoy Langan’s. I can’t resist the spinach soufflé with the anchovy sauce for starters - it’s just delightful. The choice of mains is excellently British and very strong on fish (the fish pie is a signature dish). I had the duck which was cooked to perfection and served with stuffing and apple sauce.
