Renowned for its warm greeting and super friendly service, the Brasserie's Anglo-French cuisine has been a favourite with a star studded clientele that has included Frank Sinatra, HRH Princess Margaret, Mohammed Ali, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, and Diana, Princess of Wales.
The interior is full of distinctive artworks and the restaurant has been a regular haunt of emerging artists including Francis Bacon and David Hockney.
The brasserie menu features traditional British dishes like Langan’s bangers and mash, cod & chips, and potted shrimps. The spinach souffle is a must. Among long-running London restaurants, Langan’s is a star.

Food, service & ambience were excellent. Only disappointment was that food was only lukewarm when it was served, both main courses & sides.
Fabulous, friendly restaurant offering lovely food in great surroundings.
My go to place when I am in London
We were celebrating my niece's 18th so wanted a special venue for a special occasion and, as always, Langan's delivered that magical cocktail of great food, service, busy/buzzy atmosphere and all at a price that is very reasonably when you consider the location in the heart of Mayfair. We asked for a cake for my niece's birthday, and was so lovely that everyone joined in singing "Happy Birthday" to her. Made this special occasion truly memorable. I've been coming to Langan's now for 25+ years, remains one of my favourite restaurants in London.
Great service, very attentive, excellent reasonably priced wine list and wonderful menu
Been going for 40 years
Very authentic tonwhat it always was when Langhan was alive and him Caine and Shepherd owned it.
We really enjoyed the whole experience at Langans. Attentive staff, not too pushy with just enough 'banter' to make it a truly memorable visit. Food was well cooked food with a good wine list
First visit to Langan’s and a wonderful time was had with my wife. Fantastic buzz with great service, an excellent wine menu and delicious food
Most amazing lunch, long lunch, with great friends. Loved it!
Brilliant atmosphere & service. Partners duck was a bit strange in texture (his words).
Could do with less carb heavy vegetarian options.
As good as always
Used this restaurant for many years
Always freindy staff, good service and superb range of dishes
Would highly recommend for any occasion
The best london foodery , just a great restaurant, such a cool place , with a classic menu that has not changed in the last 20 years , it does exactly what it says on the Tin ....My favourite london place to eat ..
West end staple that is always worth a visit. Good food in a class venue.
We had another great evening at the 'ever reliable' Langans Brasserie.
The food is straightforward and tasty but we always start with the fantastic spinach souffle with anchovy hollandaise sauce.
The service is very professional and the atmosphere lively and fun. We meet old friends there and usually go on our wedding anniversary. Long may it remain its unique self.
We have been going to Langan's for twenty years and still love the place as much as we first visited.
All the mains where pretty much spot on but my pheasant was on the dry side and the game chips were not so inspiring everybody else had pies which they liked apart from the chips that came with one of the pies were not up to the usual standard.
As I said it's still a great place to eat and drink.
very disappointing. .. 2 dishes had to be returned . 1 person eating alone. Late on getting table. service rushed and fogetful.
1st menu choice not available.. wrong after dinner liqueur. .had to be sent back. Very noisy. Poor value for money
Lively atmosphere and very attentive staff which adds to the overall experience. With 8 people in the group you worry that not all the food would be up to expectations but we had no problems with any of the courses. Food and service was excellent. Great place to celebrate special occasions.
Good food and service. I wouldn’t go up to London normally but great place for celebrating birthdays etc
Great food and service. Large loud parties not kept under control
The food was everything you expect of this classic place, service was better than expected however, very attentive when needed. It is lively And the tables are close to each other, again as expected. When we arrived there were two big tables, a work party - they were incredibly noisy and annoying. Many left the restaurant because although the manager tried, he couldn’t keep them quiet. Thankfully they left. They should have remained in the pub.
Still my favourite after over 30 years a (semi) regular. Langans never disappoints - it’s always an event
My 1st visit with fireinds, who were once regulars. Fodo was good, service excellent and an enjoyable lunch/afternoon.
My partners favorite birthday treat for the last 20 years, always a great atmosphere, excellent friendly and attentive service with good food and wine. What more could you wish for
fantastic service, great atmosphere and delicious food.
WE had a very good night in Langans. The dover sole was wonderful. The waiters even sub happy birthday to me and bought a plate out with happy birthday written in chocolate and a few chocs and a candle. will go back again
Crab starter with chicory, honey and ginger dressing, tasty but not very much crab. Dover sole very nice. My husband had the smoked haddock with poached eggs to start and said it was watery.
Lots on the menu too choose from but maybe they need a smaller menu to improve the quality.
The best place for a special occasion actually any occasion. Excellent food and exemplary service.
Unfortunately on our visit of 8 people we was squashed onto a table with a maximum capacity of 6 people which left no room for side orders to fit onto the table.
Service was very slow on our visit and we left disappointed, we would return but not as a party of more than 6 people.
Always outstanding service and fabulous food. Would highly recommend. See you guys next time!!
This visit was a treat for my birthday ,I had been before but my husband and son had not.
We all had a great meal and both my companions were very impressed and would come again.
Definitely on again next year!
Totally dreadful experience ~ the staff did not want to be there, service was dreadful and the food cold. This shattered my illusion of Langan’s It looks so much better from the outside and most definitely is ~ continue walking!
Really poor service
Frozen figs on my starter - totally inedible!!
Main course ok but expensive for fishcakes
Had to keep alerting a member of staff for anything needed- never got asked if everything ok or if we needed drinks etc
We haven’t been here for a few years since the unpleasantness with the black pudding! My husband is a black pudding aficionado and did not think much of the standard of theirs and complained, much to our son’s embarrassment! However, scrolling through open table, checked the menu and they had me at lamb shank with garlic mash! So we went and had a wonderful time. Particularly as in a side room a large group of people seemed to be very well oiled and getting very affectionate with each other, if you get my drift!!! Oh and luckily there no longer seems to be any black pudding on the menu so that problem was averted! We’ll certainly be going back.
went with friends for lunch food and service excellent
For a get-together with friends Langans should still cut it but on a return visit (haven’t been for years) I was shocked at how poor the food was. There were four of us and we only ordered main courses. One was the wrong dish (ravioli instead of risotto) two were stone cold inside (the fish pies) and had to be replaced and the bangers and mash only lukewarm. The service was fine if very old school and the place packed so atmosphere still good but the menu needs some attention and the cooking more so.
On arrival through the front door there was an overwhelming smell of fish, which we appreciate it is predominately a fish restaurant but it was quite unpleasant.
The initial welcome was very hurried and we felt the need for us to be ushered quickly to our table.
A little disappointing this visit, we waited an unusually long time for our order to be taken and followed by the length of time for each course and then the bill.
The main impression was that the staff were stretched and this then has the impact on the service.
I would like to say that the waiters that served us were very polite.
Absolutely fantastic lunch at Langans. Great food, good wine list and ambience all for a reasonable cost.
Overall very good.
My husband and l dined at Langans on the 24th October for his sixtieth birthday, we had a fantastic evening .The sevice and food was outstanding....Many thanks to Larson and team .
A very enjoyable birthday celebration. Nice food, good service in comfortable surroundings. Our waiter Gianmarco looked after us throughout and the complimentary birthday treat after the meal was a wonderful surprise. Definitely worth a return visit.
We enjoyed a very nice lunch pre theatre. Delicious calves liver. Expensive but a treat.
