Renowned for its warm greeting and super friendly service, the Brasserie's Anglo-French cuisine has been a favourite with a star studded clientele that has included Frank Sinatra, HRH Princess Margaret, Mohammed Ali, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, and Diana, Princess of Wales.
The interior is full of distinctive artworks and the restaurant has been a regular haunt of emerging artists including Francis Bacon and David Hockney.
The brasserie menu features traditional British dishes like Langan’s bangers and mash, cod & chips, and potted shrimps. The spinach souffle is a must. Among long-running London restaurants, Langan’s is a star.

A wonderful restaurant- with real English food!!! We took some Brazilian friends who were visiting London and wanted to show them real English food. Where else? It was a lovely evening. Great food and great service.
Food was very poor and tasteless.
I suspect it was warmed over a heat lamp or grill as some was uncooked.
I had eaten here before and it was good wholesome food. Not on this occasion and bad enough not to ever go back.
A wonderful evending from start to finish! The service is always first class, and the food is divine! Very much looking forward to going back soon.
As always good fun with lively atmosphere at a reasonable price. Good traditional service
Food OK but you go here more for the vibe
We couldn’t fault the standard of the food or the service. However, my husband is a coeliac and we felt the gluten free choices were very limited. He would have liked the lamb shank but not GF. This could easily be rectified as could other choices by simply using GF flour for sauces. We realise it’s a challenge to keep GF foods separate to avoid contamination but it can be done! He was, however, delighted with the duck.
Been before and still fantastic, friend we took equally impressed
From the minute you walk through the door you’re made to feel special. All the staff were eager to please and nothing was to much trouble, a wonderful ambience is established and maintained. The menu is of a moderate size however the breadth of choice is excellent and everything our family group of four ordered was cooked and presented to perfection. This is not a cheap venue but it remains excellent value for money.
Now eagerly awaiting my next visit to this wonderful restaurant.
Just love this place. Great location, food, staff, atmosphere- everything! Our favourite London restaurant.
Wonderful service and staff fantastic, lovely food, everything just perfect!
Good choice of English dishes. Great taste fresh ingredients
Service indifferent and not welcoming at times. Reception snobbish.
Great lunch out with beautiful food! The wines well however on the expensive side so not good value for money.
Upon arriving it was quiet which then got filled up very quickly soon after. Celebrating my husbands bday, the waiter went above and beyond to bring something special for my husband which was a lovely unexpected touch. Friendly service throughout and will definitely return in the near future.
Really enjoyed it here, lovely staff and a really up beat place!
A great night at Langans. We got the best table in the house - previously occupied by Peter Langan and Michael Caine! Food was very good - only complaint was my wife's pheasant was slightly dry. Service excellent. Great choice of wine.
The epitome of London bonhomie. Food superb. The waiters and front of house are so precise and experienced that they are free to use their wit to guide us toward a better time. Elegant because unfussy. A perennial. A home.
Group went for friends birthday. They went all out to make it special.
Our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. it would be nice if there was a dress code.
Great service, nice wine menu, good food, ambience is great, not cheap, but will return.
With so much choice in London this never disappoints - you feel welcome, Food is good, service is excellent. We always enjoy it
As reliable as ever, is Langan's as good as it always was? Perhaps it is.
Pheasant breast dry and over cooked, should have ordered the calf’s liver again!
Always a pleasure dining at Langan's
Been here many times and usually love it but had a bad experience this time
Ordered a Ribeye Steak medium it came out black and burnt they changed it but my partner had to ask for her food to be taken as she didn’t want to eat alone when it did finally arrive after at least 20 mins it was medium to well dry and had no flavour whatsoever didn’t want to complain again so tried to eat it, when you pay £40 just for the steak without sides I expect more. We were not even offered a glass of wine as an Apology to be honest the meal was £216.00 with a bottle of cheap wine and was a complete waste of money
An excellent venue we love the feel of the place and always enjoy eating here , the food never disappoints and the staff are always attentive and friendly in just the right way
Excellent British food. We'll served and superbly presented.
The spinach soufflé was gorgeous, main course (different vegetables) delicious, and the very best was the dessert (toffee apple crumble with maroon ice-creme. I can definitely recommend it.
Service was very friendly.
Fabulous on all counts; I hadn’t been for 15 years. Will be back sooner !!
Really nice friendly welcome, followed by nicely paced service of very nice food.
Last minute booking- perfect meal
Shocking service. Ignored for long periods. Special occasion meal that resulted in my wife in tears.
Situation resolved to a degree by management.
Special mention to Nino (Manager)who in the circumstances was fantastic and did his utmost to resolve the issues by not charging us.
Tables were a little close, but otherwise it was excellent!
Excellent food, service. High class establishment but not stuffy
Always good atmosphere, good service, good food, good value, good location
As always, amazing food, service and ambience at Langan's. Always confident to take clients and friends to this restaurant as I know there will be something they will enjoy on the menu and that the friendly staff and delicious food will be a hit!
Very disappointed, this is the second visit I’ve made this year and again found the food poor service rushed and the value negligible the previous time I could not get a rare steak after three attempts and two visits from the cook!
What has happened I’ve been using Langan’s for many years and feel now they have lost the plot
A real pity from the vibrant eatery of old
Just love this establishment and all that it means in the history of london eateries- a classic !
We enjoyed the Langans experience, good honest menu serveing decent quality food in a real environment.
The formula works and a restaurant going for as long as this one obviously is has the basics running very well.
The one quibble i would have is price. All sides ie veg and potato charged as extra to mains. Thus our 3 course Xmas menu dinner cost £184.00 for 2 people with 2 bottles of water and one virgin mary no alcohol. Not cheap but still enjoyable and good dining experience. Look forward to returning.
Iconic London restaurant which combines great straightforward food and friendly efficient service with a sense of fun - it has kept its' standards and its' charm over many years. Langan's is a Legend!
Second Visit in 12 months can't wait to return
Service is first class and food excellent
Can't fault any of it
Great from start to finish, friendly staff and excellent service. Topped off with superb food and wine.
