November 2021 saw the hotly anticipated reopening of Langan’s Brasserie. With acclaimed duo, Graziano Arricale and James Hitchen at the helm, their mission is to bring all of the elegance and eccentricity of the original Brasserie - opened in 1976 as a joint venture between actor Michael Caine and the legendary restaurateur Peter Langan - back to the forefront of London culture. Reimagined for a new generation each of the three floors will have its own distinct visual identity. Upon entering, guests are instantly be immersed in a sense of occasion, synonymous with the ambience associated with the roaring twenties; from the bar area with its wall of bottles that stretches up to the ceiling, guests can head beyond the piano and past the bustling dining room to The Raw Bar. I haven’t been to Langhams since it’s hey day so I was a little apprehensive. But I was pleasantly surprised firstly by the warm reception when we arrived to the service and food. I will definitely be returning soon

Food way below standard. Starters out of the fridge, off with the clingfiln and straight to table. Wine list very punchy prices. Our £146 Burgundy arrived not even at room temperature. At these non-brasserie price pints they need to do a lot better

We went for a trip down Memory Lane and a treat night out. The buzz has gone. The restaurant was not at all full. The food was very average and ridiculously expensive. Wish we had just gone to the ivy brasserie better quality and much less expense. Don’t mind a big bill if the overall experience is great.

Fabulous dinner with attentive staff who were well presented, polite and knowledgeable. Everything we ordered was delicious and cooked to perfection. I can recommend the fillet steak- beautifully cooked- but you need to order sides to go with it. The fish pie for 2 was rich, flavoursome and full of seafood. Very good. We also tried the spinach soufflé and the courgette flowers- all excellent. Portions are generous. This is a fantastic restaurant and we’ll definitely be back again!

They were out of everything. The first five wines I ordered they were out of. Took half the dinner to get a wine. They were out of the entree we wanted. They were out of appetisers. Also their wine glasses are awkward and not appealing, should give customers a choice of proper glasses. Staff was lovely though, not their fault.

I have been going to Langans for more than 30 years and was pleased to see it reopen. It is a shame therefore that the new version has none of the fun of the original. The staff are off hand and disinterested. The food was ok but they have decided not to serve the classic spinach soufflé on a Sunday but don't tell you this on their website . But the worst thin by far was the r1diculous pricing. A dover sole for £60 , Bangers and mash for £25. If this restaurant is to survive it is going to have to find a whole new customer base as it is not what it was. 3 friends who have been all say the same. There are hundreds of good restaurants in London and so very little reason to go to this one.

Have been going to Langan's since it first opened. My recent visit was the first since it closed for refurbishment. A friend and I met for a lovely long leisurely lunch. Wow! It looks amazing. The charm is still there and so is the ambience. As always, service and food were perfect. The staff were so pleasant and professional, didn't rush us and we enjoyed every minute. Here's to many more visits and happy memories.

They were understaffed the service was terrible We ordered fish pie for 2 and there was more mash potatoes than fish and only 2 prawns for £66 We complained to manger and she did offer us a complimentary drink and desert which actually did make the whole experience of bad service not quite so bad However we were looking forward to the evening meal and for the cost of the meal you expect the service to be good and more than 2 prawns in a dish

Chicken liver parfait with onion jam and grilled sourdough was perfect but the sourdough was grilled but completely cold. Is served like this? Risotto was good. On the Sunday roast the meet was very, very good but the potatoes were terrible bad. It seems that to heat them up they roasted them again. The desert was amazing. The service very good.

Last visited about 15 years ago with my old boss in advertising. Followed on from drinks in the library at the Lanesborough. Celebrating with friends, old friends in town. Much more of a fun vibe, even on a Tuesday evening. Fun and energetic team and a delightful person on the desk to welcome us. Beautiful fillet even when well done, great atmosphere. No asparagus, first world problem. 10/10

The new decor was well needed and very tasteful . the service was good enough . the food was very poor . cold toast , low quality sausages/ingredients . cold coffee cups . no hooks inside the mens or ladies WC to hang a jacket . overall the place was nice but the food needs to improve for me to want to go back .

Everything was just perfect. The food was really good. Although it was Sunday lunchtime, we went for the asparagus starter from the specials - the best asparagus I have ever eaten, followed by the Langan’s fish pie for two which was really tasty and finally the affogato. Brilliant. All dishes familiar but exceptional. The service too was tip top, friendly and attentive.

Beautiful dining room, super friendly staff - all with a great sense of humour! I enjoyed French onion soup to start, outstanding.My friend had the BlueFin tuna which she said was delicious.We shared a stunning fish pie with wilted spinach - also outstanding. Looking forward to returning very soon. Sorry no photos too busy talking and eating - this is what happens when 2 girls meet up after 8 years Highly recommend
