Renowned for its warm greeting and super friendly service, the Brasserie's Anglo-French cuisine has been a favourite with a star studded clientele that has included Frank Sinatra, HRH Princess Margaret, Mohammed Ali, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, and Diana, Princess of Wales.
The interior is full of distinctive artworks and the restaurant has been a regular haunt of emerging artists including Francis Bacon and David Hockney.
The brasserie menu features traditional British dishes like Langan’s bangers and mash, cod & chips, and potted shrimps. The spinach souffle is a must. Among long-running London restaurants, Langan’s is a star.

Absolute waste of money!
Food-not even average
It was so busy in there and we were a table for 2 so got completely overlooked!
When we did get served we asked for bread but it never came, the wine never got poured.
The Saturday special was beef with Yorkshire pudding and we were asked how we wanted it but I don’t know why because it was over cooked (not what we asked for!) no offer of horseradish or mustard as he was to busy throwing the plate down and going.
We said we weren’t paying for the service charge to the waitress so we think it was the head waiter who came over to see why weren’t paying it but he was so dismissive it was untrue!
Never going again!
Food was super. Our waiter Alexander was brilliant, remembered everything correctly and added to the evening
Haddock and poached egg stater was wonderful
Langans never fails to please. A visit to London would not be complete without a night in this superb place.
I will return .
We love it here as it’s 5 * service , food but you feel relaxed as if your in a friends house . We could not of thought of anywhere better to celebrate my husbands 60 th birthday with the family .
Yet another great celebration at Langans. This time it was a Birthday for our daughter and they didn’t disappoint at all!! Superb in every way.
As always superb food in a great atmosphere with fabulous service one of our favourite restaurants never disappoints !
Food was excellent as always . Service was good and they were very attentive. Been here on many occasions and have never been disappointed
This is our 2 nd visit to Langan’s and it didn’t disappoint everything about the experience was spot on we love it and shall definitely be returning
Last time I came here was 1978. After Peter Langan died I thought it was yesterday’s place. I was wrong. As good a brasserie as anywhere in London.
We had a relaxed and enjoyable evening. We plan to go again. Thankyou.
I always like coming to Langans for lunch but the noise levels this time were such that on our table of 5 it was extremely difficult to hear each other speak- will need to find a quieter table next time!
Excellent as always. My group of international guests were very impressed
Enjoyed the lunch the atmosphere was lively and we felt like we were part of a huge party
Good for a casual/business lunch. Service was impeccable and atmosphere lively. Unpretentious food, well presented.
A number of years ago I frequented Langans on a regular basis. Have I g not been for a couple of years I decided to take some clients for lunch .
Service was great but I am sorry to say the food was poor , very poor for the price . Also the wine menus was extortion.
Won’t be goi g back again
Langang's - what can be said that's not been said before. Great well presented and tasty food. Simple stuff done well, good choice and variety. I had cod fish and chips - if you had called it Tempura fish and fries probably could sell it for 20% more. Excellent.
Getting a bit pricey - but thats Mayfair for you.
Langans continues to be my favourite restaurant in the world (and trust me I eat in a few!).....has been for 40 years. We hope it never changes.....
Old fashioned elegance. Just as we wanted. Great for a special occasion.
Lovely food , staff friendly and attentive. Good selection on menu.
Absolutely fantastic from the food to the ambiance and staff. A really great experience. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Great Restaurant but remember it being cheaper but still great value for money
There is an immediately apparent lively ambiance on arrival plus a friendly welcome. The menu is versatile without being pretentious and the staff are accommodating. The pricing for the West End for both food and wine is very reasonable.
Difficult in my view to think of a better choice.
£62 for the 2014 Chateau Beaumont which is a £15 bottle of wine.
The restaurant and staff were great and made our evening a special one.
Wonderful as ever, great food wine and ambience. One of my favourite restaurants.
Living of its reputation a little. Food was adequate at best. Service was rushed, and would have expected better bearing in mind the expense.
I love this place. It simply ticks all my boxes. Classic dishes and proper service the way it should be. It's just so right.
Langan’s is always a joy and I look forward to my next visit
Service was outstanding - great ambience and great food. Always good.
Langan’s is an old friend from my ‘adland’ days and didn’t disappoint. Large bustling room with the ghosts of Peter Langan an Michael Caine still in evidence. (Ask to sit downstairs) Mix of schoolboy favourites and more modern fare. Something for everyone. Efficient good humoured service. Affordable prices and the steak and kidney pudding was big enough for two.
food was good apart from my cod and chips (cod was undercooked) - everything else was excellent
Great location, excellent food. We needed to ask for a side plate for the delicious bread. The gentleman who served us was outstanding- thoughtful and helpful. There are some things that can be improved but we will return.
I was really excited to visit Langans and went there with a work colleague. It was very early in the evening and there weren't many people there but the drinks order took some time, the delivery was slow. I had to catch someone's eye to ask of we could go to our table for dinner. It seemed odd that we were served bread but there were no side plates so we had to eat off our napkins. The food itself was pleasant and well cooked.
It is my favourite restaurant with great food , a varied menu , good wine list and friendly , efficient, knowledgeable staff.
Very good service and location. Food - fabulous. Thank you
Love the relaxed old school feel of this place –Service was well-timed and friendly, great Burgundies
Just love this place. Yes, it's pricey but worth every penny. Food is just sumptuous. Great choice and a wonderful place to dine. Highly rewcommended.
The food is excellent and the staff are attentive. when I last ate there i was given a table on the ground floor at the entrance to one of the preparation areas. This would have no doubt ended up with my chair being knocked by waiters entering and exiting the preparation area. The Maitre d' did change or table on request but it is not the best location for it.
Classic nice service, calm atmosphere, good food. Quietish Monday night so they were relaxed when one of our party was late.
I have been going to this restaurant for 30years .and its still great,
