Renowned for its warm greeting and super friendly service, the Brasserie's Anglo-French cuisine has been a favourite with a star studded clientele that has included Frank Sinatra, HRH Princess Margaret, Mohammed Ali, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, and Diana, Princess of Wales.
The interior is full of distinctive artworks and the restaurant has been a regular haunt of emerging artists including Francis Bacon and David Hockney.
The brasserie menu features traditional British dishes like Langan’s bangers and mash, cod & chips, and potted shrimps. The spinach souffle is a must. Among long-running London restaurants, Langan’s is a star.

As always great fun & ambiance, however perhaps looking a little tired now.Mondays fairly quiet & thats why we choose the day.
Really good every day food & excellent service.
Will come again-often! Fords.
I have wanted to visit Langans for many years. We went for my daughters 24th birthday. It exceeded all our expectations. It was a wonderful evening. The service, food and atmosphere were second to none. We highly recommend you visit this wonderful restaurant.
Excellent food friendly staff and a really wonderful atmosphere in this well established restaurant. It was very comfortable and the staff were excellent. Food was really tasty and fresh.
Great restaurant in London - was recommended by people we had just met, and it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is warm, inviting and classy. From the crisp white table clothes and shiny glassware, to the art, books and classic bar, this place is classic London.
The lamb shank is exceptional... great flavor and fall off the bone tender. I started with the tomato and mozzarella salad, which was exceptionally fresh. My wife has a a rib eye that was cooked perfectly, medium. It has a nice charcoal/flame taste.
All that said, the atmosphere and food is paired with exceptional service. Attentive, knowledgeable-
I also appreciated how the waiter would wait for a conversation to conclude before approaching the table.
I’d go back here again!
Fabulous early evening meal and experience. Thoroughly recommended. Not the cheapest but then quality is never cheap. I’ll be back!
Good but very expensive for what it is. Also rather noisy.
Great as ever
Excellent place for a business or pleasure luncheon
Thursday busy night, lively, efficient service, large menu selection appeals to many, duck breast and lamb were excellent, wine selection on the expensive end.
Quality of food and service exceptional service not intrusive but effective
Perfect location, perfect atmosphere and ambiance that went along with perfect food!
Tourists seeking a nice place for dinner and found Langan’s via a stranger’s recommendation during lunch. Can’t always trust word of mouth but this turned very nicely. The special “pie” was especially good.
Excellent evening. Service just a bit slow at times.
Amazing as always I’ve been going to Langans since the 80s always the best.
It was all a bit disinterested. We have the brand so they will come...but not for long, if that's what you think. But nice food and nice room, as ever
A lovely visit, food was delicious and decent portion size as well. Service prompt and not stuffy at all, just friendly and informed. Only negative was that we were very close to the table next to us and it wasn't really private enough. It was my husbands birthday and I felt it was slightly spoiled with the proximity of that next table especially with the price of everything, however we would always return and have been there many times.
Our Roumanian waiter and the rest of the staff were warm and welcoming - the food was very good and I LOVED the ambiance - also, I had fabulous Pouilly Fume as a treat and a treat it was!
We visited Langan's with our friend who is visiting from Europe. The service is attentive. The food is superb. We love the sauces that accompany the dishes.
Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff but food was unimpressive. Left feeling disappointed.
Always fantastic food service & ambience. My favourite place to eat in London
Fifth time to Langan’s, this time a lunch meal which was less busy.
As always excellent meal and brilliant service.
Will always go back.
the noise level was unacceptable - a large table of drunks who made it impossible for us to hear each other talk at our table - unacceptable at these prices
Always enjoy a meal in Langans, I still think Friday lunch time is the best atmosphere.
Albert made our lunch experience amazing! He is truly one of the loveliest men we have met.
It was my birthday and Albert made sure I had a fantastic afternoon at Langans!
I have been to the restaurant before
Excellent food and service, but on this occasion food had to be returned , main course was under cooked and cheese board was not to standard.
Had to ask 3 times for water.
Service was not great really.
Very disappointed,,wouldn’t hurry back.
Avoid the downstairs furthest corner table. Once the restaurant is busy you are forgotten. Had to go and pay at the desk as my arm was aching after waving for so long.
Food was very well presented. The steak and kidney pudding was a big hit for my guest as it was the first time.
We were a bit late getting there because of the traffic and lost our table. Fortunately we didn't have too long to wait before we were given another table.
Overall a good dining experience for a first time visitor to Langan's.
I came your restaurant twice. Both of them there wasn’t the dish of the day ?! They say it’s finished! Was it true ???
We were celebrating my son achieving his gold D of E award and could not have chosen a better place. We had fabulous service, waiter was interested in us as a family group and looked after us with great courtesy and presented my son with a celebratory pudding. Food was delicious, plentiful and well presented. We will all return for other family celebrations or just as a treat. I left behind a scarf and Langan’s have arranged for this to be posted to me...just lovely.
We both enjoyed our lunch at Langans, I especially enjoyed one of the vegetarian choices. We decided that we wouldn’t have a dessert but chose Petit Fours, which were an excellent choice. Good coffee too. The service was swift , friendly and helpful.
Back to it’s best. Good food, friendly and attentive staff and reasonable prices. Great to see offal on the menu and can highly recommend the Lambs kidneys with mustard sauce. Excellent wine list with a good choice.
I had not been for years I used to be a regular but fir some reason have not been recently .
We had a fantastic dinner I went for grouse which is v difficult to get right. It was perfect.
Will be going back.
Another great meal at Langan's. Service and attention very good, nice pace and a very enjoyable evening.
The restaurant was extremely noisy but bring sat in the middle of the restaurant didn’t help.
The food was very good and plentiful.
The service was a little lacking but the restaurant was very busy.
Overall very nice but lost its charm as the wonderful jazz band do not play there any longer and the quiet intimate feel had gone due to level of noise.
Was rather disappointed with the food, I got steak which was overcooked and taste burnt, the chips were more like scraps . The ambiance was good. Overall considering the price I was left a little underwhelmed, I had looked forward to this meal so much as it was my 40 th birthday present..just left a little disappointed, cheers.
Great service , amazing food
Can’t wait to go back
Fabulous dining experience from the moment we arrived! We enjoyed a pre-lunch cocktail, and were not rushed to finish these before being taken to our table. All our food was cooked and presented to perfection by professional, friendly staff. Tables were well spaced, the ambience was relaxed, service exceptional and food delicious and ample sized portions.
Will definitely be back next year on our annual visit to London.
Great restaurant food quality excellent, service was exemplary relaxed atmosphere 3 hour lunch definitely come back.
I have been visiting since the 1980's and the Restaurant is still superb as it was before. The service is perfect the food brilliant and the wine choices excellent. If there is a critic which I can offer is that the staff tends to fill up the back tables first and if one forgets to request a window table one is stuck near the kitchen otherwise keep doing as you are doing.
