I love this place the staff are friendly and attentive. Food is fresh and tasty so you expect to pay a bit more than the average chain restaurant.
Superb meal, superb atmosphere, great service and a good price. This is a fabulous place...
Amazing food and amazing service, highly recommend.
We’ve been to Lata Lata a good hand full of times previously.
However Saturday nights visit was not at all to the standards as before.
Our booking was 8pm, so not a particularly late time slot. There was a limited menu with most items having sold out. The soft drinks range was extremely limited.
There was a large group of around 15 men in the bar/waiting area that were extremely loud and made it almost impossible to hear ourselves speak within the small dining area. Maybe because we were not drinking this seemed much more intimidating than it may have usually.
I must say though, the staff were fantastic and very helpful and apologetic for the various issues we incurred. The food as always was totally delicious.
I love this place! I’ve been lots of times an the food, staff and atmosphere have always been excellent 😊
This was the first time at Lata Lata on the recommendation of our daughter and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was great. Their recommendation of 3 to 4 dishes was accurate. The only down side was the noise, which was loud due to the number drinkers only.
Fabulous little find. Amazing Sunday roast - best we’ve ever had out at a restaurant. Lovely homemade Yorkshire’s. Couldn’t fault it. Loved the live entertainment. A perfect start to Xmas week and will definitely return.
We booked a table here for 8 adults, 1 child and 3 babies. We had heard great things about the food and so were very excited to finally be visiting. A few gripes we had were as follows
• we found the table sizes to be very small. We had ordered the Sunday roast from the Sunday set menu and it was served on wooden boards, once the boards were on the tables we were not able to comfortably fit plates on either side and resorted to using small side plates.
• the restaurant only has one high chair, we had 3 babies that could have done with one- however I had been informed of this before our visit.
• we were slightly confused by the ordering process, we all put in our individual orders, but 3 boards of food were brought out- we didnt mind sharing from the boards at all but we did find the portion sizes quite small and asked for extra of everything as there wasn’t enough to go round. Unfortunately when we requested for more of the beef we were told there wasn’t any left. A bit of a shame- especially at the cost of £25 per head.
The food itself was lovely- beef was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the cocktails were gorgeous. Overall we enjoyed it and would visit again, but probably not for the Sunday lunch.
Excellent food. Attentive service. A real hidden gem in High Wycombe
Food was great as always! Service was a little disappointing this time.
Surprise birthday lunch for my mum, she and we had a wonderful time. So happy that this gem is nearby, all the dishes we had were delicious and beautifully presented. We’ll be back!
Excellent food and first class customer service, with great music as well
Great food, freshly prepared,so tasty and nice to see something different on a menu. Not the average tapas offerings, delicious.
A chilled night out with the hub.
Tapas was amazing - overall bill not cheap but absolutely worth what we paid. Exquisite food. We will be back!
We a great night with fabulous food - would highly recommend it! X
Lovely place felt really at home here. Incredibly friendly staff.
Lovely restaurant in a quirky location. Great value for some amazing food and drinks as well. Was perfect for mine and my girlfriend’s anniversary dinner. Our server Tommy was lovely too!
Lata Lata is a shining beacon amongst High Wycombe’s otherwise mediocre selection of eateries. We ate here, Pre-theatre and even at 5:30 the restaurant was buzzing. We were presented with a great selection of tapas style plates, all beautifully presented, highlight for me was the confit chicken thighs but others worthy of note were mushrooms in a creamy fino sauce and amazing pork and fennel arranchini. Waiting staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and our whole experience was accompanied by a brilliant soundtrack!
Already planning our next visit!
We went for lunch and were the only customers so had great service
A pre-theatre table was booked for 6.00pm - we got to Lata Lata earlier than planned, but were welcomed, warned that the kitchen was still in preparation mode, but nothing seemed unavailable. For the third time, the dishes were all very tasty, and in the right portions. Will certainly be returning.
Amazing food and great atmosphere!! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!
A unique little gem in the middle of High Wycombe. Cannot wait to return
I absolutely love coming to Lata Lata, the food, ambience and service are all excellent.
We had such a lovely meal on the 6th of November and got to experience the new menu, there are the old staples still on there and a lot of seasonal options.
I would happily eat there every day
Always good, friendly relaxed atmosphere with good food at a reasonable price
Early evening dinner. Food was excellent & so was the service. A friend came to pick us up & was offered a drink while they waited for us to finish our meal. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended
What an incredible achievement this restaurant is. Unique location, wonderful food and drinks with superb service.
Fantastic, locally produced food. Italian small share plates. Great range of meat/vegetarian and hot/cold options. Fab cocktails (be prepared to wait for them!). Small restaurant so book well in advance. Good, attentive service from a team who clearly care about the food quality.
The only slight negative on my last visit was the music was turned really high which didn’t really work in a small intimate setting. My friend and I had to shout over to one another. Not ideal. Also, food comes out as prepared but one of our dishes came out several minutes before the rest.
Food was absolutely excellent as always although something has changed with our favourite dish: the rump steak. Still yummy but different and not quite as good as before.
Had a great time and the food was delicious!!! Would definitely recommend. Thank you
Service was friendly and informative, food was delicious. If I had to critique, then I would say the bench seat was not as comfortable as the chair. otherwise I couldn’t fault it. Highly recommended.
Recomended by my sons who had been before, so was looking forward to the evening ahead, and sampling both food and drink. Initial thoughts when going in was a stylish decor, and lovely welcome by staff. Olly the cocktail maker was brilliant, finding out our likes to decide on type of cocktail to make, all where super plus the wine! Food was plentiful full of flavour and complimented our drinks, definitely go again soon
Great food and great wine. Had a really lovely night. Service was also exceptional! Well done Lata Lata, we will be back!
This is one of my favourite place to eat
A surprising jewel under the arches. Food was delicious and quite fun watching the student shenanigans outside!
Finally, tried this little gem close to where I work and was not disappointed. Will definitely come again.
Lata Lata is the type of place I could go every week - and I've not found a restaurant like that before. My husband and I are always wracking our brains on where we should go and we always give up and think sod it lets stay in. Buts Lata Lata is such a gem, the menu ALWAYS has something surprising, it changes seasonally as far as I know, but means there is always something new to try, and isn't that why we eat out? To try things we wouldn't normally have at home? The service is superb, the passion behind the food is evident, and the value is great, not too expensive that I can't justify visiting regularly. Basically I don't need to go anywhere else on date night - and I never thought I'd say that about Wycombe. Thank you for bring Lata Lata to us! :)
The food is fabulous. Fantastic flavours and really interesting . Staff lovely and helpful, we had a really nice evening and would happily return
Excellent food. Best in wycombe. Reasonably priced too. Will defo go again. Book in advance though as small venue.
The restaurant is a very convenient place to eat before the Theatre but we found it quite noisy, especially when the little ones are running around. The floor is very clean but very slippery.
The restaurant was already in service at 7pm, people at the bar and tables, we had drinks (my G & T was a bit over iced but a very reasonable £5). Excellent menu choices, we had cold frittata with a whipped cheese side, pork and fennel arancini, braised chicken thighs with onion, very tender lamb in a beetroot puree, patatas bravas It was all delicious total bill £52. Good service was received.
