Lovely restaurant in a quirky location. Great value for some amazing food and drinks as well. Was perfect for mine and my girlfriend’s anniversary dinner. Our server Tommy was lovely too!
Lata Lata is a shining beacon amongst High Wycombe’s otherwise mediocre selection of eateries. We ate here, Pre-theatre and even at 5:30 the restaurant was buzzing. We were presented with a great selection of tapas style plates, all beautifully presented, highlight for me was the confit chicken thighs but others worthy of note were mushrooms in a creamy fino sauce and amazing pork and fennel arranchini. Waiting staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and our whole experience was accompanied by a brilliant soundtrack!
Already planning our next visit!
We went for lunch and were the only customers so had great service
A pre-theatre table was booked for 6.00pm - we got to Lata Lata earlier than planned, but were welcomed, warned that the kitchen was still in preparation mode, but nothing seemed unavailable. For the third time, the dishes were all very tasty, and in the right portions. Will certainly be returning.
Amazing food and great atmosphere!! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!
A unique little gem in the middle of High Wycombe. Cannot wait to return
I absolutely love coming to Lata Lata, the food, ambience and service are all excellent.
We had such a lovely meal on the 6th of November and got to experience the new menu, there are the old staples still on there and a lot of seasonal options.
I would happily eat there every day
Always good, friendly relaxed atmosphere with good food at a reasonable price
Early evening dinner. Food was excellent & so was the service. A friend came to pick us up & was offered a drink while they waited for us to finish our meal. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended
What an incredible achievement this restaurant is. Unique location, wonderful food and drinks with superb service.
Fantastic, locally produced food. Italian small share plates. Great range of meat/vegetarian and hot/cold options. Fab cocktails (be prepared to wait for them!). Small restaurant so book well in advance. Good, attentive service from a team who clearly care about the food quality.
The only slight negative on my last visit was the music was turned really high which didn’t really work in a small intimate setting. My friend and I had to shout over to one another. Not ideal. Also, food comes out as prepared but one of our dishes came out several minutes before the rest.
Food was absolutely excellent as always although something has changed with our favourite dish: the rump steak. Still yummy but different and not quite as good as before.
Had a great time and the food was delicious!!! Would definitely recommend. Thank you
Service was friendly and informative, food was delicious. If I had to critique, then I would say the bench seat was not as comfortable as the chair. otherwise I couldn’t fault it. Highly recommended.
Recomended by my sons who had been before, so was looking forward to the evening ahead, and sampling both food and drink. Initial thoughts when going in was a stylish decor, and lovely welcome by staff. Olly the cocktail maker was brilliant, finding out our likes to decide on type of cocktail to make, all where super plus the wine! Food was plentiful full of flavour and complimented our drinks, definitely go again soon
Great food and great wine. Had a really lovely night. Service was also exceptional! Well done Lata Lata, we will be back!
This is one of my favourite place to eat
A surprising jewel under the arches. Food was delicious and quite fun watching the student shenanigans outside!
Finally, tried this little gem close to where I work and was not disappointed. Will definitely come again.
Lata Lata is the type of place I could go every week - and I've not found a restaurant like that before. My husband and I are always wracking our brains on where we should go and we always give up and think sod it lets stay in. Buts Lata Lata is such a gem, the menu ALWAYS has something surprising, it changes seasonally as far as I know, but means there is always something new to try, and isn't that why we eat out? To try things we wouldn't normally have at home? The service is superb, the passion behind the food is evident, and the value is great, not too expensive that I can't justify visiting regularly. Basically I don't need to go anywhere else on date night - and I never thought I'd say that about Wycombe. Thank you for bring Lata Lata to us! :)
The food is fabulous. Fantastic flavours and really interesting . Staff lovely and helpful, we had a really nice evening and would happily return
Excellent food. Best in wycombe. Reasonably priced too. Will defo go again. Book in advance though as small venue.
The restaurant is a very convenient place to eat before the Theatre but we found it quite noisy, especially when the little ones are running around. The floor is very clean but very slippery.
The restaurant was already in service at 7pm, people at the bar and tables, we had drinks (my G & T was a bit over iced but a very reasonable £5). Excellent menu choices, we had cold frittata with a whipped cheese side, pork and fennel arancini, braised chicken thighs with onion, very tender lamb in a beetroot puree, patatas bravas It was all delicious total bill £52. Good service was received.
Excellent and creative food served in a great environment by attentive and real staff!
Really enjoyed the food too many chain restaurants in Wycombe. Nice service and atmosphere.
Lata Lata is a joy, wonderful food prepared and presented beautifully, tasty too :-) Special mention to the staff who made our experience an excellent one.
Always enjoyed the food in Lata Lata but the most recent visit (October 19) was exceptional. Just left the ordering to the Maitre D' and results excellent. Prices here are so reasonable, local food to an excellent standard. Invest in your community it's worth it.
Great experience as always. Table of 9, food came out out at a good pace, all left full and exceptional value for under £30 a head
As we had expected, premises were very basic but we loved the food and the waiter was helpful. Will go again.
Brilliant place, been wanting to go for ages. Glad we finally have. Absolutely excellent for Wycombe but would hold its own on a far bigger stage. One minor gripe if an element runs out let diners know ASAP before they order to avoid any disappointment.
Top drawer definitely will be be back soon
Fantastic place in every way. Great food, drink, service and vibe. A real gem
Very good service from staff who told us all about the menu. lovely food, beautifully presented and innovative.
Gorgeous food. Always good.
Relaxed, friendly and superbly tasty, tapas-style food. We love it here and it's a great place to go to celebrate and linger or nip in before going out (pre-booking advised) for a tasty meal. Staff have individual flair but are all well acquainted with the menu to advise the diner.
We were Pre show dining and when our server was told this our dishes arrived promptly and were delicious. Shame we couldn’t stay for desert!
Have been several times and as usual it did not disappoint. Table of 4, 12 or so dishes plus drinks and all for under £120.
Hi lights this time were the lamb, beef and chorizo and potato salad but all the food is expertly cooked and very tasty.
Service was fast and friendly and there is always a good buzz to the place. Can t recommend enough.
Excellent food, combinations and flavours spot-on, service attentive but without intruding either, decor and music set the perfect mood too. An individual and wonderful experience :-)
We were greeted warmly and shown to our table with a smile. Food was delicious and didn't take too long to arrive. The decor inside is stylish, modern and classy, and the music set a wonderful vibe. The bartender was charming and made us some delicious drinks to complement our food. All in all an excellent restaurant for a date, or just for drinks before seeing a show at the theatre.
Excellent place, food was amazing, fabulous atmosphere.
