Food and service is excellent, absolutely worth a visit, just bring your ear-defenders!
However, the one drawback is the very loud music which makes it hard to hold a conversation. And we are not talking about some soft music but rather it almost feels like sitting and eating in the middle of a club.
Absolutely amazing in every possible way! Me and my partner had a lovely time on valentines day in that hidden gem. Loved the music, decor, ambience, food to die for, staff : friendly, chilled seemed happy to be there, no wonder I was for sure! Thank you guys, we'll be back soon :) Can't wait!
Food was delicious and staff were friendly and attentive. Loved the cosy decor.
Delicious food with a Mediterranean edge. Lovely staff and environment.
Brilliant food excellent service could not be more pleased
Loved this place! Great little menu, different from the norm and very tasty. Staff very friendly. Only downside was that one dish we ordered never arrived. Also, we were gently booted out once we'd finished eating as the table was booked for another group later in the evening but it's a tiny place so understandable. We'll definitely go there again. It'll probably become our new pre-theatre eatery :)
Locally sourced, brilliant menu, food amazing, great cocktails.
Fab hidden gem. The food was excellent and we are really fussy as we're both good cooks, although quite big portions, we had 3 each and it was more than enough. Maddie, our waitress, was really friendly. Will definitely return.
As fantastic as ever.
Excellent evening at Lata Lata. Really great bar and waiting staff, delicious interesting food and incredible cocktails. Loved how after dinner there was an influx of people coming for drinks. Always a great evening.
Some yummy treats on the new menu, and service -as always - was so very lovely.
Absolutely loved coming! Can’t wait to come back x
This was our first time at Lata Lata and it did not disappoint. The staff were all very friendly and the food was amazing. Everything was delicious and very well cooked but the steak probably stood out most, being full of flavour and melt in the mouth. We love sharing plates as we get to try so many more dishes. Our only issue was the volume of the music, we could hardly hear each other talk and even though the staff turned it down it did creep up again. I understand this for a late night but we ate at 7.
A really great find for my sister's birthday lunch. Small menu, but incredible variety with unusual flavours. Loved the arancini, beef, and the olive oil ice cream was amazing. Will definitely visit again.
This is the very definition of a hidden gem; wandering into this glorious Aladdin's cave of culinary delights is a joy. The decor is understated and chic, there's something very calming about the wood and plants everywhere.
The staff is outstanding, so kind, so affable and very well suited to the welcoming atmosphere the entire place emulates.
The food....oh the food. Every dish is presented absolutely impeccably on beautiful crockery. For me, nothing will beat the arancini- they are crispy and delicious and warming and just the right size to share. This sharing aspect makes dining at Lata Lata a lovely experience to share. So many shared 'ooohs' and 'ahhhs' were echoing about the place, it was only right to join in!
The ingredients are clearly high quality and the dishes put together with the care and attention of a creative and experienced kitchen staff with their fingers on the pulse of local ingredients and customer tastes.
I cannot reccomend this place enough!!
Lovely hidden gem in Wycombe. Food was delicious and the staff were super accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for something a bit different than the usual chain restaurants nearby.
I have eaten here several times before and have enjoyed the food and relaxed surroundings, so really disappointed this time - my friends were both served their two dishes which they had almost finished when I had to ask where mine were. Then had to ask again, but by that time it was too late as we were due at the nearby theatre. It's relatively easy to get caught out as they bring out dishes as they are ready. Had to leave not having eaten.
This tapas bar under the flyover by the University is a delight. The stylish decor impresses from the moment you walk in. The cocktail menu is small but delicious, and the dishes are all amazing.
The menu recommends 3 dishes each, but in reality you probably only need 2 as they are all decent portions.
The chaps who serve are all lovely and clearly have a passion for their work.
Would highly recommend.
Just love this place, we are so lucky to have them in High Wycombe. Cutting edge food, innovative flavours and combinations, relaxed and casual atmosphere, great cocktails, first rate service and at a good price. What more do you need?
And in our view the whole evening was better here than the Michelin starred place we went to at the weekend!
Fantastic food and service highly recommend a little gem hidden in high wycombe
An awesome little restaurant that we’ve visited a few times, Lata Lata has always served up lovely small plates... This was our first time having Sunday lunch there and it was outstanding. It’s served family style and the porchetta and chicken, (with all the trimmings), was bonkers good! We were the only people in the place, which considering the quality, (and price), of the food, was absurd... The service was charming, if a little random, (the chap hadn’t worked front of house before), and I think they only had two bottles of wine in the entire place, but this really is one of the best places in the area. Highly recommended, especially for Sunday lunch!
I love this place the staff are friendly and attentive. Food is fresh and tasty so you expect to pay a bit more than the average chain restaurant.
Superb meal, superb atmosphere, great service and a good price. This is a fabulous place...
Amazing food and amazing service, highly recommend.
We’ve been to Lata Lata a good hand full of times previously.
However Saturday nights visit was not at all to the standards as before.
Our booking was 8pm, so not a particularly late time slot. There was a limited menu with most items having sold out. The soft drinks range was extremely limited.
There was a large group of around 15 men in the bar/waiting area that were extremely loud and made it almost impossible to hear ourselves speak within the small dining area. Maybe because we were not drinking this seemed much more intimidating than it may have usually.
I must say though, the staff were fantastic and very helpful and apologetic for the various issues we incurred. The food as always was totally delicious.
I love this place! I’ve been lots of times an the food, staff and atmosphere have always been excellent 😊
This was the first time at Lata Lata on the recommendation of our daughter and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was great. Their recommendation of 3 to 4 dishes was accurate. The only down side was the noise, which was loud due to the number drinkers only.
Fabulous little find. Amazing Sunday roast - best we’ve ever had out at a restaurant. Lovely homemade Yorkshire’s. Couldn’t fault it. Loved the live entertainment. A perfect start to Xmas week and will definitely return.
We booked a table here for 8 adults, 1 child and 3 babies. We had heard great things about the food and so were very excited to finally be visiting. A few gripes we had were as follows
• we found the table sizes to be very small. We had ordered the Sunday roast from the Sunday set menu and it was served on wooden boards, once the boards were on the tables we were not able to comfortably fit plates on either side and resorted to using small side plates.
• the restaurant only has one high chair, we had 3 babies that could have done with one- however I had been informed of this before our visit.
• we were slightly confused by the ordering process, we all put in our individual orders, but 3 boards of food were brought out- we didnt mind sharing from the boards at all but we did find the portion sizes quite small and asked for extra of everything as there wasn’t enough to go round. Unfortunately when we requested for more of the beef we were told there wasn’t any left. A bit of a shame- especially at the cost of £25 per head.
The food itself was lovely- beef was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the cocktails were gorgeous. Overall we enjoyed it and would visit again, but probably not for the Sunday lunch.
Excellent food. Attentive service. A real hidden gem in High Wycombe
Food was great as always! Service was a little disappointing this time.
Surprise birthday lunch for my mum, she and we had a wonderful time. So happy that this gem is nearby, all the dishes we had were delicious and beautifully presented. We’ll be back!
Excellent food and first class customer service, with great music as well
Great food, freshly prepared,so tasty and nice to see something different on a menu. Not the average tapas offerings, delicious.
A chilled night out with the hub.
Tapas was amazing - overall bill not cheap but absolutely worth what we paid. Exquisite food. We will be back!
We a great night with fabulous food - would highly recommend it! X
Lovely place felt really at home here. Incredibly friendly staff.
Lovely restaurant in a quirky location. Great value for some amazing food and drinks as well. Was perfect for mine and my girlfriend’s anniversary dinner. Our server Tommy was lovely too!
Lata Lata is a shining beacon amongst High Wycombe’s otherwise mediocre selection of eateries. We ate here, Pre-theatre and even at 5:30 the restaurant was buzzing. We were presented with a great selection of tapas style plates, all beautifully presented, highlight for me was the confit chicken thighs but others worthy of note were mushrooms in a creamy fino sauce and amazing pork and fennel arranchini. Waiting staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and our whole experience was accompanied by a brilliant soundtrack!
Already planning our next visit!
We went for lunch and were the only customers so had great service
