Lattanzi
Always excellent
Service was horrible. I’ve eaten here in the past and enjoyed it. I’ve sent people from my hometown to Lattanzi in the past. Never again. I’ve never encountered such horrible service. Waited 20 minutes for a waiter to acknowledge us. Our waiter never took our order. A manager came over to take our order and was completely rude and arrogant. Go to Amarone around the corner and get real service.
Was my wifes Bday . I placed in the open table reservation however they did not see it . Over all the food was very interior italian . I come from a long line of good Siclian food . This was straight up inviting and tasty food .
I had the most delicious Cacio e Pepe for dinner. Lattanzi’s has the BEST tartuffo. Go for the tartuffo and stay for dinner! You won’t be disappointed.
Great food , quick service, nice small round table for 6 near the bar.
Pre Broadway dinner with a couple of young kids. Food came out super fast and was superb. Waitstaff help was a little spotty but nevertheless the best meal of our four days in the city.
A good pre-theatre choice. Most of the food was pretty bland (except for the tiramisu, which was great), and it was loud and crowded, but the service was attentive and quick. Nothing memorable, but a good pre-theatre choice.
The Restaurant was very nice the food was delicious I would go back again.
Great atmosphere. Entree and apps were delicious. Service was great.
We had a very nice lunch prior to the matinee. The food was good and the service excellent.
Bad service and very loud. Food just ok. Very disappointed.
Mi experiencia fue muy agradable, todo el mundo muy atento y la comida muy rica. Repetiré sin duda
Service was bad. Waiters were very unfriendly. Food was okay, nothing special. Never coming back.
Lattanzi is a great neighborhood restaurant and very convenient for the theater. The food is excellent and our server was attentive, helpful and considerate of our time constraints. This is a go to restaurant for us when we are in New York and going to the theater. It is consistently excellent.
We enjoyed our dining experience overall but when the bread was put on the table it is usually accompanied by olive oil and it was not. We found out that it is their policy for the customer to ask for it. We felt that fine dining would extend that as common practice.
Service was disorganized
1 of 6 entrees was too bland
food and ambiance great
Wonderful evening
loved the penne ala vodka and the snapper livernaise was outstanding
desert great
Great service, delicious food. We will return next time we are in the area. Fast service but not rushed.
This is the second time we have eaten here. Our first time was so good we came back a second time. We are a family of six, so if we are going to go out to dinner, we try to go somewhere we know we like. However, our most recent visit was very disappointing. We were early for our reservation but they had a table available, so they seated us right away. That was great but that's where the good stuff ends. As soon as we were seated the waiter told us the specials and walked away. He didn't ask us if we wanted wine, soda or anything besides water. He returned no more than 5 minutes later to ask us if we were ready to order. He didn't ask if we wanted to start off with an appetizer, just wanted our dinner order right away. Our meals were delivered to us about 15 minutes later. The waiter never came to our table once our dinners were served to see if we needed anything. As soon as we were done eating, the waiter offered us our check. He did not ask if we wanted coffee, dessert, after dinner drink or anything at all. This was the first time I have ever left a tip less than the recommended 18%-20%. My husband and I always leave a tip of at least 20%. Sometimes more if the service was especially good. I know that is how waiters and waitresses make the majority of their pay. This time I just couldn't do it. I also never leave bad reviews but I feel that I have to this time. I hope this review finds the right person at Lattanzi and the wait staff treat their patrons a little better in the future. Our family of 6 will not be returning again.
Great Close to the theater.
Very nice pretheatre dining place. Good food, good service, convenient to theaters.
My son and I had the best meal prior to Book of Mormon. Thank you.
Best Italian restaurant in the theater district in which I have dined. Fine food in a cozy atmosphere with "they have got to go to a show" service without being rushed.
All good. We will return. We like this restaurant a lot.
We had an early pre-show reservation on a Wednesday, so crowd was probably lighter than other times. Had a great table in the room adjacent to the bar (would recommend this room over the main room where you enter - less traffic and tables farther apart). Waiters were attentive and the food/wine was excellent. Would definitely return.
It was
My birthday. We went after a show. The evening was perfect. Loved, loved the food and service. We will be back soon.
I can't say enough GREAT things about this lovely restaurant! The Staff is amazing! The food is amazing! Don't walk, RUN and enjoy this place!
We went for a pre theater lunch. The ambiance is quiet and tasteful. Service friendly and efficient. The food was perfect and our bottle of wine just right.
Ambience was fantastic.
Food was not.
I booked this place online assuming it would have homemade, fresh pasta and ingredients.
It turned out to be the total opposite.
My dad ordered the cavatelli and I had the linguini with seafood, both disappointing.
My sister had the spaghetti with bolognese which turned out to be the best meal of the three. However, she first ordered the lasagna special, which ten minutes after ordering we were informed it was already sold out. We had an 8pm reservation.
Presentation was sloppy as well.
I ordered the house special artichokes. They were greasy and thrown haphazardly on the plate.
Really disappointing.
Would not recommend and would not return.
Great experience!
Always a delicious meal at Lattanzi! The lamb shank special was delectable!!
Food was delicious and service great and they knew we were going to a show so they were very attentive to ensure we had a relaxing dinner but got out on Time!
We spent the day walking the city and were really looking forward to a good relaxing meal. Immediately we felt judged as tourists. None of the staff was very friendly. We ordered appetizers, dinner, and dessert and were in and out of the restaurant in 30 min! I guess maybe they are used to serving food quickly for the theater goers, but I honestly did not feel welcome in this restaurant. Will definitely not go back or recommend.
A simple but good quality stop if you need a reservation in the Theatre District . Ask especially for the Jewish menu, and on either menu order the artichokes Jewish.
This place has been around forever and consistently delicious. The service is always on point and like they are ninjas who don't bother you. My only complaint which has never kept me from returning is that I find their chairs a bit uncomfortable. But like with fashion comfort is secondary to good taste ;-)
Food and service are always excellent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our pre -matinee Theater dinner at Lattanzi! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent. We will be back!
Dining at its’ finest. Consistent over the years!
Excellent artichoke appetizer and delicious pasta and fish. Always a winner - and very good for pre- and post-theater dinners.
Wonderful restaurant. The food is great and the service is exceptional.
