Law Society of Ontario
Both the prix fixe menu and the daily menu, which includes a mouth-watering selection of soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees, draw on local, seasonal ingredients. View today's menu.
The menu changes daily depending on what's fresh and in season at Ontario's local farms. We focus on sustainable farming, seafood and ethical treatment of livestock
Give a lunch dining experience at Osgoode Hall Restaurant. Available for purchase at the restaurant.
Always a great spot that is convenient to City Hall. Downtown Toronto’s best kept secret!
We love going to Osgoode Hall Restaurant every month for our retiree group lunch. The service and food is impeccable! Looking forward to Osgoode reopening in September!
Wonderful place to have lunch downtown. Great value, really good food and a wonderfully historic building.
The chicken salad was delicious, with wonderfully crisp and fresh Boston lettuce. We liked everything about the lunch except the limited menu of main dishes: the quiche was was already sold out at 12:20 pm and thus the choices were rather heavy: pasta and beef Wellington.
This place is amazing and the food is delicious but it is fairly pricey
Fabulous and a best kept secret in fabulous surroundings...and you know the clientele are good at keeping secrets too if you want to have a private lunch meeting (mostly lawyers and judges!). I also half expected to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione at the next table. A+
I do not like this question. I know nothing about the Law Society of Ontario. I will, however, recommend The Osgoode Hall Restaurant to friends and return frequently with my friends . It is a unique dining experience and my quiche yesterday was the best I’ve ever had in Toronto.
Thoroughly enjoyed lunch at Osgoode Hall. Stewart was our server and he was wonderful.
Best kept secret in Toronto! Wonderful food in a unique setting, with servers who are highly professional.
Good food, service good, great experience to sit in the dining room and see lawyers and judges in their robes - feels like a different era.
As always, Osgoode Hall restaurant provided a superb lunch. Very professional and attentive service, and quiet ambience, though it was on Monday and can be a bit louder on busier afternoons. The food itself was outstanding. We had the Chef's Menu - three courses, prix fixe. The salad course was almost all fresh spring shoots, perfect for a sunny day in May. The entrée was braised beef, tender as could be, with polenta that was both silky in texture and flavourful. The dessert was a crème brulee, but not the run-of-the-mill kind, not here. It was mocha-flavoured and the sugar topping was likely brown sugar, therefore extra caramelly! The only negative was that the prix fixe has risen to $33 per person; with tax and tip a pricey lunch for two. Still, overall a lovely lunch to remember.
A stellar experience as always. Only complaint? Not open for dinner!
Happily ( for those of us in the know) a great restaurant easily overlooked
Great atmosphere with a unique setting. Food is reliably very good. Will return
This is an excellent spot for a beautiful lunch in an iconic venue with a broad selection of wine. Generous table space and low noise level are conducive to conversation. I always enjoy coming here and have introduced many people to Osgoode Hall.
The dining hall is very nice and the food was great. However, service is very slow and not very friendly.
Excellent ambiance and conducive to private conversation
I had been to this place once before for a team event, loved everything that I had to come back with a group of work colleagues. Everything about this place is perfect, food, service and especially the ambiance. It's a hidden Gem.
LSO dining hall is always great! I heartily recommend it to anyone using the courthouse.
The primary server did not have a smile that came easy. Was happy to share your restaurant with a visitor from Quebec City.
A meal should be a happy moment and not to feel rushed. Regards
Great setting for a fun lunch! You don't have to be a lawyer to go there and see a historic and important Ontario institution!
Waiter was most attentive and charming. Answered our questions regarding history of the building.
Exquisitely prepared food - fresh, tasty, beautiful presentation. Attentive service. Great suggestion for wine pairing for Prix Fixe entree.
Always enjoy dining here---very comfortable setting for speaking with a friend-i.e. tables separated enough that one is not overhearing the next table's conversation.
Food always good. Staff helpful and respectful.
Wine could have been decanted a little better as we had sediment in our glasses--first time this ever happened.
Looks like the dining hall at Hogwarts! Panelled walls, high ceilings, huge portraits and stained windows, lots of books -- very unique and quiet, charming ambiance.
Menu changes daily (we opted for steak frites, rather than pan seared halibut or quiche) and food is very tasty. Service wasn't great but server was a well-meaning elderly gentleman like a movie character so it added to the fun!
You have to go through a scanner when you get into the building so allow a couple extra minutes. Check it out -- it's like nowhere else!
Really unique and classy place. The food was really flavorful. Do try butter tart !!!
Beautiful venue with excellent food. The Moroccan chickpea soup was outstanding.
This is my favourite place in which to have lunch during the week. It truly is one of Toronto’s hidden gems. The food is great, the service impeccable and the room is stunning.
Loved the stained glass windows and bookshelves. Very different vibe from usual restaurants. I like that the menu changed do frequently. Only negative was the long wait despite reservations as there was only one person at the desk and she would disappear for a long time to seat each group.
It must be experienced. Great for groups. Service was excellent. Food was good. I like the fact that the ingredients were locally sourced.
Never disappoints. Excellent food! and very good value. It’s a treat to dine in a room where noise doesn’t dominate the conversation.
I like to take friends to this restaurant because it is unusual, not overpriced and has delicious food.
The food is usually very good, but this time I was disappointed with the entree. The pasta carbonara was too yellow and the bacon had a strange aftertaste. My companion's butter tart sat in the middle of a bare plate and the filling was runny. I'll go back, but if this had been my first experience, I might not be so inclined.
good food, good prices, great decor, prompt and discreet service
I would say best in town
Always a present to lunch there.
Toronto's best kept secret! Fixe prix menu is outstanding value for money.
Really love it there. Great job and I hope to be back again soon!
Enjoyed my first lunch at the Law Society restaurant yesterday - what a great pleasure it was to have a lunch meeting there with my colleague. Food was great, service was great and room was nice and quiet, but not too quiet!
I had the shrimp risotto and the rice was still crunchy and not creamy and the sauce a little watery. It needs some work. The flat iron appetizer was delicious.
