They said they did not have an open table account so my client and I were asked to leave as they were fully booked. Total disaster.
Open table booked a table for us on 11 December 2019. We arrived on time, only to be told there was a
private party and they do not use Open table. We understand that other people had the same experience.
I popped in for a couple of small plates, and had the crispy foie gras and the piggy burger. Both were tricky (messy) to eat but absolutely delicious!! The bar was empty when I arrived at 6.30 but buzzing when I left an hour later.
Good value limited choice lunch menu. Food is excellent.
However, book with OpenTable and not the restaurant web site. I initially used their web site, got a “we’ll get back to you to confirm your reservation” message and they didn’t! So, I cancelled the initial unconfirmed booking and made an OpenTable reservation - which they simply cancelled! We were lucky and got a table but their system is, at the very least, not clear and not efficient. Lesson learned!!
We had a lovely evening but it was pricier than we expected. Service was good and food tasty, But the portions are small and not great value for money.
Booked a table at 5pm but was told on arrival food is not available until 6.30. So we had to leave after one drink. Don't why open table allowed this booking to take place.
Great food and wine, but service is too slow.
Loved Le Bar. Chic, beautiful central setting with god food and affordable wines. Will be back!
Great SW French Tapas. Excellent Gascon food and very nice service
Terrible bar service and atmosphere is horrendously bad , so dark and depressing left after one glass of wine when we were suppose to be staying for food. There was 6 ppl in the bar on a Friday night after work when th bar next door and 200. Something drastically wrong with the way this bar is being managed !!!
inventive small plates in comfortable bar setting. only complaints: (1) service was spotty (too few servers for the crowd) & (2) we had a 5:30 confirmed pre-theatre reservation but the kitchen doesn't open until 6pm: SO WHY ACCEPT A 5:30 RESERVATION?!?!? fun setting & very good food, but service elements need work
Great wine and snacks especially for larger groups
Great way to get high quality food, at really good value. Great cozy vibe!
Not the best dining experience opentable have given me..
We devoured the Toulouse Sausage cassoulet bathed in beautiful juices and lentils. OK, the dish is on the small size but we were satisfied at lunchtime having filled up on the accompanying complimentary fresh baguette and topping up with the bargain desert (£3) of Pain Perdu (translated as Lost bread). We also tried the Signature Gascon Duck burger which you couldn’t fault – moist shredded duck, sandwiched between a toasted brioche bun (yes it could have been bigger but it was only £5!) Why can’t there be more places like this in London?
Lukewarm soup, tough pork chop and tons of little flies
Lovely french nibbles and wine in a very relaxed place. Service, once underway is attentive
Went here for dinner - not for the first time. It is consistently good food, interesting wine all presented with good cheer by helpful staff. One of the best restaurants in the area.
