Perfect sunday luck spot, lucked out finding this, great service, great food couldn't ask for more
Can’t say enough about the charm, food and service of this hidden gem in St Germain! On a street of lots of options, I am so glad my husband picked this one for our anniversary. Service was amazing from top to bottom, helpful advice and English menu tips when we needed. Food was spectacular- get the ceviche and the beef bourgonine for sure! Thank you thank you!!
Valentine's dinner we did not love. We were the second couple to arrive after they opened for the day. The young couple near the door asked if they could move away from the door, and though there were five tables on the other side of the room, the owner said no.
We started the meal with courgette toast, chorizo mine was the special of filet au poivre with gravy. His was tasteless so he poured on the blue cheese, mine was dry so I really used up the gravy. We were so disappointed.
Lastly, and note, this is probably a cultural practice because I saw two other restaurants do the same thing on this trip, I watched them take our bread basket (which I asked her to take away half full since we had had enough) and she added more bread and took it another table. I love that the bread is not wasted, but I find it disgusting knowing how some people may not have clean hands and they touch the bread.
We declined dessert and found a chocolate fondue place near our hotel, which was great.
The wait staff was pleasant, owner was a bit rude. Only about 10 tables, very close together which is typical but makes for a loud environment. This restaurant sits among many other options so you might want to look around and skip this place.
A real gem of a find. Small inside, only a few tables. The menu was short but very well executed. A really nice atmosphere on a bustling street in the 6th.
Great food, excellent service. Especially burata and risotto were outstanding!
Best burrata I’ve ever eaten. Food in general was superb. Good service. Small, intimate, enchanting ambiance.
Food wasn't very good. Too expensive for what we got. NYE dinner didn't even include any drinks. They charged us separately for champagne. Entree was at best 'average'. Nothing standing out besides good service. Do not understand why the restaurant has so many great reviews. Maybe their NYE choices were poor.
We had New Year’s Eve dinner here. The food was very good but overpriced. It was price fix and with two teens it did not suit them. We had many other meals in Paris for a third of the cost that were comparable and better. Loved the environment though!
Delicious entree’s and fantastic starters, great wine selection
Very cute setting. The wait staff was awesome, one girl running the whole restaurant. Friendly to Americans. The food was average. And it was pricey, 80 Euros for a date.
Owner couldn’t have been sweeter. Great food.
Wonderful dinner experience. Classic bistro food. Great, friendly service. Well worth the price.
On Saturday evening we felt so comfortable and welcome joining what felt like the family offering us
delicious farm-to-table food, we booked again for Sunday. Paris is a big place with lots to offer, and sometimes it's perfect to tuck yourself into a great neighbourhood with a perfect plate and a nice glass of wine.
Good selections, nice presentation, good food! Staff was super friendly.
Great food, especially the beef dishes.. Extremely well done, friendly relaxed atmosphere
A real find on Open Table. Located on a side street in my favorite section of Paris just around the corner from St Sulpice, this intimate restaurant has simple yet exquisite dishes - fish, beef, vegetarian options. Nice wine list and very good desserts. I could go to this restaurant on every visit to Paris.
Great evening at Le Béguin des Mets! Dinner was delicious. The food came out promptly and the wine was good. My friend and I had a lovely time and it was great to be able to book online.
Beetroot gazpacho, salmon and lamb were were good. Risotto was terrible. Although we had booked online we were sat in the basement which would be fine if there were any other diners in there however there were none. The main floor had nice ambience. Waitress forgot us however was very friendly when she did visit.
Good appetizers and french fries. Risotto had no flavor. Steak was bad-spoiled.
Quick trip to Paris, very happy we found this place! Multilingual staff, relaxed atmosphere, very traditional casual meal!
I booked this place for our first night in paris, I wanted somewhere a bit different/quirky. You wouldn't realise this place was there if you walked by it, luckily I stumbled across it online. Undoubtedly one of the best dinners I have ever had, and the wine was phenomenal. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, I would be have happily ate here every night for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend this restaurant
Best meal in Paris in such a cool neighborhood. Prices were reasonable. Small place so reservations are a must.
Brilliant place. We had a blast. Food was amazing and staff incredibly friendly. Highlight of of trip!
We enjoyed our dinner very much for a casual dining in an amazing zone full of restaurants and bars, mostly packed.
Pros: The servers spoke English and had great personality
The steak frites with blue cheese was on point
Great value we paid around $80 for starters, mains and 4
glasses of wine with some soft drinks as well
Cons: Every dish was missing seasoning and some more flavor in general, not a huge deal because there’s salt and pepper on the table (it’s not the same but it’s fine) but it could have been perfect if it had had it
Definitely recommend this place, book in advance or same day because it is not a very big space and fills up quick.
Such a wonderful little spot tucked away in the side streets! The service was absolutely wonderful and the food was to die for. All you need to do is add wine and good conversation. Highly recommend!
The food was phenomenal. Everyone on the team relayed that this was the best meal in Paris after 3 nights.
Fantastic food, excellent service and a good location. Would highly recommend this place.
Nous nous sommes régalés. Poêlée de couteaux, capaccio de boeuf et tartare avec frites maison, crumble pommes / quetsches...
Les produits sont frais, l'ambiance sympathique et l'équipe charmante. What else? La cuvée de l'insoumise... je recommande. Merci. Nous reviendrons.
Gutes Essen, toller Service, leckerer Wein; gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr zu empfehlen,
We spent a really good time in this restaurant located in Saint Germain des Près ! The famous Parisian area!!!
Dishes was delicious and generous,
People who are working at this restaurant are pleased and try to do their best in order to spend a good time.
We will come back next week in Paris and we definitely come back again at le Beguin des Mets !!!
We were really looking for a nice French restaurant for the evening after a hard days work and we choose this restaurant because of the many good evaluations.
For one it is really nicely located and it has a certain charme when tables are moved outside to enjoy a warm late summer evening.
Staff was quite busy but also polite, trying to make you feel very welcome.
But unfortunately this is where the nice things end.
In our opinion the food was quite poor and it was quite expensive, probably also because of the inner city location.
The snails we ordered for starters were a bit chewy and seasoning was missing.
For mains we had salmon tartar which was quite oily and was also missing seasoning. And for my friends taste it was quite fishy/old. Coming from Kyushu she certainly has some expertise regarding fish.
I was having a cote de boeuf. It turned out to be a long ripped piece of meat certainly looking more like road kill than a nice steak. In parts it had a quite strong taste or smelly as my friend would call it.
Overall it was quite a let down especially as we paid close to 70 Euros including a bottle of water and 1 glass of wine.
Wonderful meal and the service was outstanding
What a wonderful meal we had at Lea Fernandes. The woman who waited on us was so very friendly and attentive. The Escargots were perfect, as was the roast chicken. The table also had steak and frites with a blue cheese sauce that was outstanding. Probably one of our favorite meals in Paris.
Delicious food - great ambiance (small authentic place) wonderful neighborhood great service
Fantastic food
Wonderful dinner with sardines as appetizer and fresh tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and olive oil. The crispy Dorado with puree of artichoke was delicious. We also enjoyed the brioche with apricot and vanilla ice cream.
This cozy restaurant fit our family of 10 just fine. We spoke very little French but they offered an English menu and spoke English to us and helped us with our dinner choices including a nice bottle of red wine. The ravioli received many compliments from the 4 of us that chose it. I tried it and agree. I had the butcher’s choice beef with Auvergne blue cheese sauce and French fries. The fries were fabulous.
Great experience all around! Cozy with sidewalk and indoor seating. Would highly recommend.
I really enjoyed my experience at Les Fernandes; the service and the food were both excellent. There was a jovial atmosphere partly due to the friendly smiles from both Enzo and Chantal. I had the sea bream ceviche followed by the butcher’s choice cut beef and finished with the Café Gourmand (a selection of their best desserts) - all were perfectly cooked. I ordered wine and cocktails too. I would highly recommend this restaurant as it serves good quality French dishes (amongst others) for reasonable prices. I would definitely come next time I’m in Paris!
