In the City, he worked at two prestigious venues: Metrogusto and Assaggi, also given one Star in the Michelin Guide.
2006 is known as the great leap.
On August 21, he opened his first restaurant “Le Querce” in Forest Hill, at number 66 Brockley Rise.
In the warm atmosphere of the restaurant, it is easy to indulge in good food at celebrations, events and moments of conviviality with family and friends. Perhaps the pleasure of taste is contained in the feelings it evokes, in an unmistakable emotion, created by a fellowship of experience and knowledge. Echoes and references to a known past, that feeds the senses and takes us on a journey from the infinite nuances.

Love this place so much. My kids chose it for my birthday lunch. Great food, lovely staff - always a winner
Loved it - wonderful food and very friendly. Hard a great evening, relaxed, fabulous flavours and lovely staff who really looked after us. A good family run place it felt. I would thoroughly recommend it.
Food, wine and service brilliant. Do you really need Anything else?!
Had a lovely date night meal. The food was as always outstanding and the service excellent. If you want delicious Italian food as you’d imagine Nonna makes it with out paying through the nose I highly recommend Le Querce. Glad it’s only a 10 min walk!!
Original food, all freshly made, charming service. Why was it not full on a Friday night? A mystery. We shall return.
Le Querce is a family-run restaurant in Brockley. The family are Sardinian. We have been coming here for years and even with stiff local competition, they are still excellent. The welcome is warm and friendly, the food and wine are excellent and the service efficient. Whenever we think of going elsewhere, we end up thinking - why should we when we have such an amazing restaurant on our doorstep. We are very lucky.
The place is bright enough so it feels cheerful and open without being garish - so it felt welcoming. Pity the guy showing me to my table didn't speak English but no worries! It was mid week so a bit quiet but everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves.
The food was really good and there was a decent choice so there should be something for everyone. We had a great monkfish main with seafood and celeriac puree which was excellent and the afters were fabulous - Apple tarte tatin with rhubarb ice cream!
Service was well timed as we wanted time to chat and at no point did we feel rushed or that we had waited too long. No complaints about the service as such but it was a tiny bit impersonal but I am nit picking.
The only thing I would like to see would be the introduction of some modern beers - some South London pale would have gone down a treat with the fish.
Overall - really good.
We eat here at least once a week - great food and always a very welcoming greeting
Amazing pasta, wonderful service, lovely local place
I have been to Le Querce many times now, and have recommended the restaurant to many people. The food is always superb, and the range available can cater for any tastes and diet requirements. It has no faults at all!
We visit Le Querce regularly as it is by far our favourite local restaurant. The food is superb and the service and general ambience always make for a good night out. This time we took relatives who were visiting London and it did not disappoint. The food was great as always (special mentions to the seafood pasta, swordfish, sea bass and tiramisu) and the service friendly and efficient. This restaurant is an absolute local gem and well worth a visit from further away for the fantastic cooking, which is top-notch regional Italian specialities rather than the usual pizza and pasta. There is also a good selection of regional Italian wines. Already looking forward to our next visit!
Le Querce never disappoints. The food varies constantly but is always inventive, tasty and visually appealing. Everything is homemade and the service is personal and impeccable. Le Querce is a long lasting genuine local favourite. The cuisine is Sardinian so not your typical Italian red sauce menu. Fish always features prominently.
A lovely family meal, children very well looked after. Very welcoming restaurant.
Seemed to be an off day. Long wait for service. Food not as good as usual. Inconsistency between dishes - my pasta far too peppery. Just not as good as usual and therefore not the usual value, taste or experience sadly. Music too loud and added nothing - diners shouting to each other over it. Disappointed compared to usual experience.
Brilliant restaurant and team...
Exactly what you're looking for from a local eatery
Excellent family run restaurant. Great menu and food beautifully cooked. Staff charming and informative, and a reasonably priced wine list.
I'm never disappointed when I eat at Le Querce. Great food, Friendly staff and a relaxed environment. I love the interesting dishes and unusual ice creams and sorbets. Don't go expecting your usual Italian fare...this has a distinctive Sardinian twist that I love.
Authentic, relaxing and a fun evening with perfect food, service and style
An excellent family-run restaurant - true to Sardinian cuisine. A wide range of food to choose from including a number of seasonal specials. Ravioli - sheep's cheese and spinach - was outstanding. Highly recommended.
Overpriced relative to other restaurants in London, even relative to central London.
I love this restaurant. Robert is always so friendly, helpful and welcoming. This restaurant is great for shellfish, meat and vegetarians. The cost represents the quality. Just great for a celebration 🎉
Outstanding Italian and Sardinian food. Every time. Lovely attentive service if you want to ask anything.
Excellent fish, very good wine, try the ice cream and sorbets.
Antonello looked after my daughter and I very, very well. The food was nicely executed and beautifully served.
Nice restaurant lovely food and service. The garlic ice cream was amazing!
Excellent dishes. We ordered two starters that were fresh, well presented and delicious. And pasta for main course which was fantastic, and the chicken was excellent too.
Good service. Friendly staff.
Fantastic food with a large selection of daily specials. Friendly welcoming staff. We will certainly go back. One negative comment. Nothing was written down when our order was taken and a primi piatti course never arrived which was a shame. I dont understand why someone taking your order wouldnt write it down.
We had a lovely meal there. I had the steak, which was lovely, and we shared a large sage ravioli to start which was perfect!
We've been intending to visit this 'local' for years and never got round to it. Our loss! It was exactly what you need from a local italian. Authentic everything (staff, ambience, menu, ingredients, wine list) and delicious food. We'll be back.
As always great food, friendly service and best pizza in London.
Very friendly staff, authentic food without pretension
The food is always superb. The staff are always kind, friendly and attentive with good advice. And I will say again that the food is always superb - you can’t say it enough. Such a great local treat!
An excellent meal again! The wine was amazing and the food so tasty. I had the spaghetti sea food linguine, which was fantastic. So lucky to have in our neighbourhood.
I can't imagine there is an Italian restaurant anywhere in London that serves food as good as Le Querce. Everything about the whole experience was magnificent - including the birthday treat they gave us at the end!
Haven't been for a for a few years as no longer live in the area but it was as excellent as me and my wife remember. Interesting, tasty food. No problem with late additions. Complimentary prosecco as it was our anniversary, moved to the terrace to have our coffee. Just a really lovely place with great food.
Excellent as always
It's been a while since we've been here and almost forgot how good it was. Unfussy, great flavoured food and great ice cream to finish!
Four of us had a very enjoyable evening eating main courses of mostly pasta and finishing with ice-cream and coffee. There was a bit of a wait to order but it was worth waiting for when the food arrived. My ravioli was delicious and the green beans complemented it very well. As always the different ice creams were tasty and provided a good talking point. The cost of the meal worked out to be about £27 pp, including tip.
A return visit will be planned!
Excellent meal and would highly recommend Le Querce
This is a friendly, family run business. We have been going to Le Querce fir many years, and the food and service is always special.
