We dined here for my daughter’s birthday. It did not disappoint. The attention to detail was phenomenal. The tastes sensational. I chose the £60 wine flight in addition & the sommelier’s knowledge & descriptions of each wine was really impressive. The portions at first appeared small but in total they were absolutely perfect. We were told we wouldn’t leave hungry & they were right.

The tasting menu was delicious. Rare that every single course is spot on delicious and not too ‘off piste’. Including the incredible ‘nibbles’ to start. Darren was an absolute hoot too. He really made the meal! His colleagues were superb too. Overall superb meal and experience.

The tasting menu started fantastically but gets quite heavy from 4th course onwards. We ordered wine pairing (well worth it) for one to share between two of us, which the host gracefully supplied an additional glass with extra sips. There is absolutely no complaints on the level of services, it really made our evening. However, the food became too heavy to ingest withe ease towards the end - more palate cleanser between courses and reduced portion of the main course is called for!

We have been meaning to dine at Legacy since it first opened but wanted to wait to see if its reviews were consistently excellent before trying it out. Well we certainly weren't disappointed as the standard of cuisine, service and overall ambience were truly remarkable. From the warm welcome when we arrived, starting with scrumptious canapés served by Head Chef, Ahmed Abdalla himself through each incredible course and the perfectly matched wine pairings this was a meal that will live long in the memory. The food was exquisite in taste and presentation with clever flavour combinations and texture to make your taste buds tingle! I should also commend the excellent front of house staff Darren, Ammette, Derek and Lucas who served with humour, knowledge and passion. They are a real credit to Legacy and the Grand Hotel. My wife and I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough and we are sure to return at some point.

The food was fine dining .We had the 8 course tasting menu and could not fault the taste and quality of the food. We also had the classic wine flight, we wouldn't recommend this if you have a preference as they don't change the wine selection. Service was as expected descreet and attentive, shame they couldn't adjust the wine to suit .

A fantastic meal, with impeccable service. The food was fantastic and met the needs of the foodie with some real surprises like the Oyster Canape and the Baked Celeric, with some great staples for the more traditionalists with the lamb and the turbot. It was a quite evening and the staff were attentive, but not intrusive.

The canapés were served by the chef Ahmed Abdalla, which was a lovely touch, and served with a glass of English sparkling. All the courses arrived at a good pace and we left feeling nicely full. Every course was equally good and we struggled to pick a favourite. The wine flight complimented each course and was expertly described by Derek. The only disappointment after the final course was that the evening was over! Definitely recommend for a special meal out.

The service throughout the entire meal was excellent, customer service is always a big one for me and the staff did not disappoint at any part of the evening. The sommelier was very knowledgable and nothing was too much bother for any of the waiting staff. The food was amazing, a very good example of a tasting menu, very well presented and well worth the money. I would highly recommend the restaurant.
