Leicester Square Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Went for a pre-theatre meal, which I selected from the good reviews others had left. I was not disappointed. Service was efficient and quick without feeling rushed. In fact the service was excellent throughout. The courses were inventive and interesting, low on carbs so you don't feel bloated when you move onto the theatre. Some dishes can be spicy, but guidance was given on this without even asking for it. Recommend you do book as by 17.30 the place was full.
We really love this restaurant and her sister one in Seven dials We like the idea here of sharing lots of different things so that you get to sample many if the interesting and tasty dishes on the menu. The staff were brilliant as always, very knowledgeable and still so attentive on a busy Friday night. Will be back for sure!
...Great cocktails too I know from a previous visit!
Our first time here, it was 3pm and so quiet, I would certainly visit again either asa couple or in a group. The food was very good and the whole experience was very enjoyable. It was incredibly good value, as we had the option of a set menu, having booked through OpenTable. The wait staff were very attentive, on hand for everything, kept water (and offered tap water for the table without having to ask, how refreshing!) and wine topped up whilst maintaining a discreet distance. I generally steer clear of Leicester Square for eating, due to the (very understandable) nature of it, however I will certainly return to The Leicester Square Kitchen very soon, and with others
I did a lot of research before booking this restaurant for my husbands birthday treat. The staff were really attentive and helpful both at the bar and in the restaurant. We were given food recommendations by our waiter after he had carefully checked what sort of food we liked. The tapas style food was full of flavours and we loved our choices. We had desserts too and a great bottle of Sauvignon. The pre dinner cocktails were unusual (spicy) - in fact the only issue we encountered was that the coffee was cold but this was swiftly put right by the staff. Quite pricey but worth it for the special occasion
We spent a stay-cation week in London and this restaurant was one of the best we ate in. Despite being in Leicester Square it is stylish and non-touristy. The tapas style food was delicious and the wine very good. We liked the cool vibrant feel of the place, people watching out into Leicester Square. Very convenient for pre theatre dinner.
Usually the run of the mill big chain names in and around Leicester Square are something I would avoid due to there reputation of average food, average service and punchy prices - not the customers ideal trifecta.
Service were very good, we never felt rushed but at the same time were well looked after by our very knowledgable waiter, Silviv.
The menu was explained to us in detail and great recommendations were made, our faith in our waiters choices paid off. All food comes at similar times but is fairly small bite sized portions for the Taco’s and Ceviche’s you can order, therefore you never feel like you are inundated with plates of food. Soft and Hard Taco’s were first up. Salmon with jalapeño sauce along with beef tartare and chili hard taco’s were nice but lacked depth and the main source of meat mentioned (the salmon and the beef) were only subtle aftertaste once the bite sized starter had been consumed. The Mayan chicken soft taco was sublime packed with sweet heat and rich flavors - they were an absolute winner. The larger main dishes of the duck, spinach and pomegranate salad were delicate and refreshingly moorish with the papayas really coming out in the dish and balancing nicely with the acidic sweetness of the pomegranate. Another top recommendation which I am pleased we followed was robata glazed smoked paprika ribs - soft, smoky and succulent like if you were biting into a sponge of peppery treacle like goodness.
The wine list on a whole was fantastic value for money with the top end of Red wines being £25-£30 a bottle. I think that is great value for money considering you are in central London and we had a beautiful ripe and strong wine that stood up to our food in the form of an Argentinian Malbec costing around the £26 mark. A nice little touch was the tasting glass that was brought to out table to sample our wine before purchase.
£100 inc service for 2 hungry diners, bottle of wine and 2 shots of tequila. I will be returning and in the masses
The four course tasting menu proved to be a delight to the palate, introducing a host of unusual flavours. Portions were generous. The inclusion of a cocktail in this offer made it good value for money. Service was efficient, if a little slow, considering that the restaurant was not particularly busy. I would definitely return.
Tapas were excellent!!! Highly recommend this restaurant. We had the pre-theater menu which was a very good value (4 dishes for 25 pounds). Although it's tapas, the dishes were still a good size. For two people, we had 8 dishes which was more than enough to fill us up! Highly recommend the ribs as well as the tiger prawns. For dessert, the doughnuts were to die for. Definitely would go back.
Great new place surprisingly located in a hotel on Leicester Square. Lively bar style vibe with a live DJ playing but the music was not too loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Diverse Peruvian fusion menu with a very good range of veggie options and all the dishes were tasty and executed well. The portion sizes are variable depending on what you order but the quality is consistently good. The service was probably the best we have had for a long time so thank you to Aaron.
This is by far the best restaurant opening this year that I have experienced. Delicious food, great service by staff, lovely venue and very good value for money.
I already been twice and booking another table for end of September plus I have recommended it to a lot of friends and family.
The food was so tasty, we ordered 5 plates between two of us and was delicious, and very moderately priced in regards to the location.
The wine and was tasty and moderately priced.
However what made our evening was the staff, so lovely and seemed interested in having a conversation with you.
Overall an exceptional evening, will definitely be going back.
we had a lovely experience at Leicsster Sq Kitchen. the team is very attentive and efficient. I work in the food industry so im very critical when we go out but i had no complaints. the staff clearly mentioned that we will need 4-5 items per person which really was the case. however, the size of tacos was beyond disappointing. the food tasted great though and the staff recommended some really good options
I went to LSK with my wife on Saturday 5 August. From the moment we entered the restaurant to the moment we left everything was perfect. The cocktails were fantastic. We both had a pisco sour and they were the best we've had outside of South America. All the food we ordered was very tasty and creative. The dishes with chilli had just the right amount. Our favourites were the chicken and beef soft tortillas, the sea bass ceviche and the ribeye steak, which we had with sweet corn. The chocolate and the mango desserts were also excellent. Our server Aaron was great from start to finish. Totally attentive and made some fantastic recommendations. All members of staff continually removed plates etc. The atmosphere was fantastic and we were surprised it wasn't full.
All in all a brilliant evening and we couldn't recommend it more highly. Better than most Michelin starred experiences
