It has been over 2 1/2 years since we last visited Leigh house however everything was as good as ever. A very enjoyable evening with excellent food. The Bang Bang chicken was not as good as we remenbered it but overall very good.

Been dining here for decades and considered it my 'go to' favourite restaurant. But this time felt as is no management at home. No idea of our booking, no recognition of birthday celebration. Food good but portion sizes have reduced. Felt as if living on the past. Saved by a lovely waitress who spoke only a little English and was a little out of her depth - but really trying hard.

The food was overpriced, they cook food for the areas you’re seated in at the same time so for people who had ordered an extra course (duck in between) the other tables ended up waiting 30-45 minutes for their starter plates to even be cleared. I ended up skipping dessert as had been sat in there for 2 hours and only had 2 courses. £23.50 all you can eat buffet with a £3.50 charge for each dish you can’t finish, mediocre lukewarm food and then to finish it off whack a 12.5% service charge on when they don’t even have enough people to provide standard service! Disappointing

As a booking for a special occasion (50th birthday) I was hoping to be made a fuss of, but sadly not. The service was ok but not very attentive. The food was lovely however, albeit expensive. Bland decor and not much ambience. Won’t be rushing back.

Sunday buffet from 1pm is wonderful value with a great choice of dishes from the buffet menu and the same excellent quality. Redecorating the restaurant was much needed but the carpet is letting it down and the toilets need attention too. Service quick and friendly as always.

Overall food is good and always is. Service however this time was a complete let down. Forks were not provided when asked. Sauces were not provided when asked. We had to get it ourselves then nevertheless. Management should focus more on service especially when regulars are providing weekly business!

Table of seven could have benefitted from a lazy Susan to help access to different dishes Lovely food and staff but had to wait quite a while for starters and also long delays in between courses. It was a Friday eve and restaurant very busy and this may have been the reason as kitchen obviously had many orders to fill.
