Lovely characterful place with excellent food for a pandemic and Brexit! Bravo
abit rush for 1.30 hr dinner. but general atmosphere and food was good
Lovely meal and great service, the only issue is that it was a bit chilly. Other than that, loved it!
Always great here - you know what you will get and are not disappointed
Great service. Delicious meal. Lovely piano music.
Good reliable Escargot - can be trusted for a special occasion
Best service I have had for a very long time and the food and wine were both excellent.
Will certainly be coming back.
The whole dining experience was exquisite. Will definitely dine there again soon with more people.
Totally loved the decor and the staff were so helpful. Food was perfect. Cannot wait to go back. My whole party said how great it was.
Perfect, as always
Absolute fantastic food and service and world class inferior
overpriced for what you got poor service although got a apology ehen paying the bill and then to be charged 14% service charge was not impressed
As usual, we had a thoroughly lovely lunch. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. This is a very pleasant restaurant to while away an afternoon or evening with friends.
The service was very slow. It took nearly an hour between our starters and main.
Lovely escargots! Great service - cherry on top was seeing Helena Bonham Carter casually dine opposite us.
Visited on a Friday for my brothers birthday and had a lovely time. Service was professional, unfussy but attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed (but picked up later in the eve for some signing around the piano which was great).
The food was nice, but I wouldn't return for the food alone and I wasn't overly impressed with the wine for the price.
Definitely worth visiting but not if you want your mind blown by the food!
We came for our 20th anniversary. We were treated so well and the food was exquisite. The service was wonderful. I highly recommend the mulled wine to start!
from the very moment we arrived the service was absolutely outstanding.
The room was a delight and i just soaked it in.
the food. for the three of us, was superb.
the table and cutlery were arranged elegantly and the staff were so nice.
it is a must go again sort of place.
thank you L'Escargot
Enjoyed a near 5 hour lunch! Great food, service and wine. French Onion Soup and Grand Marnier Soufflé absolutely superb!
Exquisite service, from a cheerful greeting to a comfortable restaurant. Food faultless, wine exceptional. Worth the cost for a special occasion.
Food and service good. Restaurant was freezing cold which rather spoilt our lunch. They did provide a blanket but in December you would expect some heating.
Authentic delicious French food and perfect service.
Tasty food and good service but definitely not value of money. Ridiculously expensive I won't be returning again.
Lovely food but very slow service! The food and wine are still very good at this venerable institution but the service was unbelievably slow. I would recommend for a long, lazy lunch but not a quick bite!
Every dish we had was excellent and perfectly cooked, including the chateaubriand. Service was excellent and kept on top of everything we needed and wanted, overall a great evening.
L’escargot is always a joy. For me the real treat is taking my dog too. The food is amazing (classic French). Predictably it is eye wateringly expensive but that is hardly a secret. The service is unhurried leading to a very relaxing experience. I enjoyed every moment and for me it was worth every penny. They know exactly what they are doing and the staff really invest in their customers. So well done L’escargot and thanks for another lovely meal.
Food was absolutely delicious. The baked half lobster and cassoulet were incredible. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning another day.
The restaurant is lovely but the food is not great. For the price they offer it is not justified. The stuff is very casual, not what you expect when you go to a restaurant like this. They would have a lot to learn from Brasserie Zedel
We ate here at the samevtime of year and then would have given it 100%, this time it was just a little down, we phoned ahead to check we could go into the bar before hand onlyvto be told on arrival that a private party was there, we hoped also that would be over by the end of our meal to have coffees and liquors, that unfortunately did not happen. Everything else was great, the food was excellent especially the trademark escargot and the staff where excellent also.....our guests enjoyed it too including their furst sampling of french snails.....of course we would recommend it
Some of the best food I have eaten in a very long time. Would highly recommend.
We booked for a romantic meal before the theatre. The food was delicious, I would recommend the Lobster salad to start.
The restaurant has old school glamour and very friendly staff, definitely worth a visit.
Fantastic French cuisine! Everything was excelcional. I will definately come back.
We visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday afternoon. We were running about half an hour late due to delayed trains, we called the restaurant and they were extremely flexible and moved our table back. The ambience was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly and warm. The food was delicious and the wine was perfect. I can see why this restaurant has been around for such a long time.
The menu is well balanced and the food is excellent. Plus live piano performance.
A brilliant Friday night. Lovely decor and an authentic French feel. The piano was the pièce de résistance! He was brilliant. A lovely, lovely evening!
Excellent service, atmosphere and delicious food. Can’t wait to return.
Booked it for a long lost friend from Switzerland. Food was French, decor was French, ambience was French, absolutely loved it. Je reviens toute suite !
my go to place for lunch in London. Charming staff, excellent food and spotless ladies room
First time visit, soon back😊 fabulous food and top service, much better than Gordon Ramsay Grill at the Savoy !
Their food is very fresh and delicious. The snails and beef are amazing.🥰
