Lovely warm service and tasty food, as always. Perfect place to hunker down with friends and drink delicious wine from a thoughtful wine list
Loved this restaurant. Loved everything about this place- menu is really diverse with delicious food , we had brilliant and attentive service without being over bearing and the wine list is great too!
Can't wait to go back!
Fantastic neighbourhood restaurant - great food, friendly service and an excellent wine list
Food was delicious, service was great. All in all a lovely evening. I will definitely be back and have already recommended to friends!
Over all I was very impressed by the whole experience . Very nice staff, knowledgeable, knew exactly what each dish was and was able to offer advice appropriately and competently. The food I chose was the scallop in a basil emulsion and the home cured sardines, followed by boudin noir and the mallard, ending with the teste Tatin. The scallop was amazing, perfectly balanced and one of the best dishes I have had in a very long time. The sardines are very good too, just wished they were coming with a basket of bread and butter, as that starter deserved a good bread to soak up the amazingly food quality olive oil infused with thyme. The boudin noir was excellent too, full of flavour, probably could have done without the radicchio leaves as they did not add anything to the dish . Still very good . At this point, for some reasons , the food stopped coming and I waited a very long time for the main course, trying to engage with my mobile phone, but noticing that the gap between my third starter ( the boudin noir ) and my main course ( the mallard ) grew wider and wider ; a waitress eventually asked me if everything was all right and I replied yes, it is, but I am still waiting for the mallard to arrive ( the time is now 15.10 and I was supposed to watch a movie at 15.30 ) . She looked surprised and shocked and eventually the main course arrived . It was delicious , but the fact I had to rush to finish it in order to be able to try the tarte tatin I wanted to finish the meal with, made the whole experience a bit less enjoyable. Shame because if it wasn’t for this mishap I would happily have given 5 stars in every field . No explanation was given to why this delay in the main course delivering happened , nor was the service charge waved . In any case I am impressed by the quality of the cooking and the service in general of the staff working there . Pity about this incident which spoilt the experience. Praise to the cooking which is worth the journey to Peckham
Excellent food at Levan. Started with the cheese and aioli chips and then ordered the mussels and ravioli. We shared the main which was sole and dessert the apple tartan. Very casual but fun atmosphere. We sat at the kitchen counter to view all the dishes being prepared. Will definitely be back to try other parts of he menu with more friends - the portions were generous vs. The price and it would better to try more of everything!
Lovely food and atmosphere. The boudin noir was particularly flavoursome and delicious. The menu is creative yet accessible and the staff are all very friendly and know their stuff! I'll definitely be going back soon.
Fantastic food , menu used local ingredients , a bit noisy re acoustics
Delicious small plates, nice wine, with brilliant service.
The food at Levan is wonderful. We really enjoyed it. I had mentioned on my reservation that I’m a gluten free diner so the waitress had kindly marked the food I could and couldn’t have, but unfortunately she wasn’t at all clear on what is gluten free and what isn’t! Perhaps she hadn’t spoken to the chef?? Cornflour is gluten free and so is buckwheat so there were things I could eat that weren’t marked as safe. It would be great to have the staff be more savvy on this as I would have missed out on some amazing food if I hadn’t asked more questions.
The music was also very loud for a lunchtime service...
But the food is superb and the staff we met were friendly and really doing their best to be helpful. I will be back!
The food and service was first class. Can’t wait to go back
Lovely meal, great quality. Nice atmosphere in the heart of Peckham. Cheeky to charge for water, though.
Service was fab, food was incredible , dishes were just the right tasting size to enjoy a bit of everything and not feel grossly full but fully satisfied! We order x4 dishes between 2. The espresso and miso buns were wow. The scalops wow, even the black pudding with egg on top which sounded too much for me was wow.
Delicious creative food served by knowledgable friendly staff in a stylish and comfortable space. Thank you Levan - we'll be back soon...
Best meal of the year, every dish was stunning. Will be making a hasty return!
Loved eating here! The dishes were well considered and seasonal, really good sized portions made easy for sharing, and overall reasonably priced given the high quality of the food, service and presentation. Can't wait to come back and try the spring menu.
A lovely restaurant, with a warm, welcoming vibe. Tip top wine list, service and thoughtful food.
Excellent, first rate. I’m a foodie, thoroughly enjoyed. Parsnip ravioli awesome, although needed another 30seconds of cooking.
This place is great. Recommend the potato galette, the persimmon sorbet, and the tarte tatin, but it is ALL good. Unusual to find such quality and creativity at these prices in London. Definitely worth the detour. We liked the neighbourhood too - bustling, groceries with lots of unusual products, and on teh side streets elegant old London housing stock.
£105 dinner for two with wine by the glass. Nice atmosphere and good service. Space is pretty cramped, and I wish they had sorted out the toilets when they took over the venue. Wine was very average at the price. Which is my general review actually - it was all a bit meh, and for the price (which is high for Peckham), I really expected more.
Very attentive and helpful staff
Great little gem with super service!
Two words: Comte fries. ♥️ I mean naughty? Indulgent? So damn tasty! Argh why haven’t I had this all my life!!
Also top notch juice pork chop with miso sauce and sweet potato mash. Everything was as it should be.
Love your work Levan. Thanks for a great lunch!
Really nice new restaurant. We had all six sharing plates - exciting flavours, that still left us feeling "clean" after the meal
Best restaurant in Peckham at the moment. Enjoyed an amazing dinner there and was taken care of impeccably by the team. Highlights being the tartar and the pork chop (the latter being the best I have ever tasted). I will definitely be returning.
Great food, great booze and great service. :)
We found it very, very over-priced for the portion sizes. It is designed for sharing, and yet you are encouraged to get one large sharing plate + a medium sharing plate + a snack each? If you want to go away full, you are spending £50 a head, and I was definitely not full when I left. One of my friends is a vegan and there were only 3 dishes she could eat, including a very small plate of broccoli for 6 quid. We felt like the waiter was a bit aggressive when he kept saying that we had not ordered enough food, yet there were few options for my vegan friend - so what we're we meant to do?
Levan had a very well thought out imaginative menu. Great service and all together a wonderful dining experience.
Great food and delicious wines on the fab wine list. Amazing friendly service and lovely atmosphere.
Wonderful spot, beautifully and cosily set up with wonderful food and delightful service. great wine list, too. we will be back!
You have to go and be sure to try the Steak Tartare, it's unbelievably good, the best dish of the night, although all the others were outstanding
Wonderful dinner at this new Peckham Restaurant, the staff were lovely and the food was really really good!!!
Don’t miss this one!
Thought the food was delicious, some of the best I’ve tasted (apart from one too salty fish dish- which they rectified).
The waitress / manager lady was so helpful with suggestions of food amounts, wine choices, very attentive service, well looked after.
ONLY complaint is noise of very loud drunken customers, who were too drunk to appreciate the good food and wine properly .... totally NOT the restaurant’s fault !
Menu looks great, mushroom tempura bland, compte fries really good, blood sausage amazing, pork chop with miso - sauce too sweet didn’t get miso flavour. All food under seasoned and no salt pepper on the table
Outstanding new addition to the competitive south east restaurant scene cannot wait to go again, recommend to many already. Loved it - conte fries, boudin noir and fish all amazing. Big portions for a sharing plates place too
We had a lovely evening at Levan. Location is great. Staff are lovely. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend it to a friend!
Quite the best eating experience in Peckham so far. A memorable evening. The service was both amiable and efficient.
First time at this new restaurant. Nice feel and lovely team. interesting menu, some of which worked and some of which didn’t potato galette and halibut were just fantastic. But the mushroom tempura and steak tartare missed the mark. Sure this will be remedied by the enthusiastic team. Exciting addition to Peckham.
Really great place, great food, friendly staff, great wine, great vibe
Had a fantastic dinner at Levan. A taste sensation! Great atmosphere and service.
