The food was fine, but some dishes missed the mark. We had some octopus that was almost mushy! For the price, there are much better options in the area.
Excellent food , great service we had a lovely evening.
The food was outstanding and the service was great- friendly and attentive.
Great food and service, nice atmosphere. We are coeliac and they were really accommodating. They also have a great wine list - recommend the orange wine from Tuscany!
Faultless innovative food. Great service and a great place to celebrate the end of school life. Loved the rillettes, burrata, compte fries, octopus but the sweetbreads were the star of the show along with the chert sorbet. Wine list a bit pricy but hey who cares
If I could, I would dine here everyday!
Excellent and well researched food. We had been to the sister restaurant Saloon, In Brixton, and when we heard this restaurant with a similar concept had been open, we did not hesitate to try it!
Echoing some other comments, one of the waiters is not as welcoming or knowledgeable in terms of the food that is served, but having said that, the experience is an unforgettable one and we’ll definitely come back again with friends!!!!
Great food and nice atmosphere. The Tarte Tatin was the best I've ever had, mind blowing stuff.
Down in London visiting and heard about this restaurant from a friend. The small plate scene is decent in Glasgow but this place knocks them all out the park.
Will come back next time I’m down.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Levan. The food was excellent - especially the globe artichoke! - and the wine outstanding and reasonably priced. It was fun watching the chefs assemble the food and both service and ambiance were great. We ended up trying quite a few dishes so the overall bill amounted to a bit more than I had anticipated, but we'll be going back as we had such a nice evening.
Love Levan. My favourite food in Peckham. One piece of feedback is that you guys need to spend more time with staff so they know what s in your food. I’m a coeliac and each time I come in I have to correct staff on what is and isn’t gluten free...this time it was macaroons...last time someone thought I couldn’t eat potatoes...this is such an easy thing to get right. Your front of house staff should know all about your lovely food!! Or they can’t sell it for you.
The set menu was excellent value. I was so impressed with the food and the apple tart tatin was absolutely to die for!
Very Delicious but noisy, but two of us were the oldest there so the noise level is probably acceptable for Levan’s average diner
It's the best place to eat in an area full of great places to eat. Amazing food - knowledgeable staff, great wine and lovely atmosphere.
Amazing food, excellent wine, fantastic service, great experience
The food was delicious, well presented and good value. The wine list was expansive, possibly a little on the pricey side, but this can be justified by their use of independent sellers. When I asked for a glass I wine, the waitress went into a lengthy monologue over the virtues of the cheapest, which I thought was refreshing. I find that many restaurants sadly just direct you to the most expensive wine. All in all, a wonderful experience.
Casual atmosphere with relaxed, engaging staff, eclectic seating, cool decor, funky music paired with outstanding food and delicious wine.
Fantastic wine menu, amazing food, great ambiance. One of Peckham's gems!
The service was fantastic.
The team where amazing.
The food was awesome.
And the wine - we where recommended at Natural Rose that was insane.
Thanks guys Xx
A really wonderful meal and night out - staff were attentive, welcoming and knowledgeable without being intrusive. The food was really exquisite - really tasty, perfectly cooked and a really interesting array of choice. I am a vegetarian and was really well catered for there! I couldn't recommend Levan highly enough. It was a real treat and a bit of a showstopper so if you're looking to go somewhere to celebrate or treat someone this is the place to go!
Wonderful food and pleasant laid-back ambience. Would certainly recommend. Nice Italian house white too.
Amazing food and service in a great setting. Natural wines on offer by the glass and bottle. Would highly recommend
We went for lunch at Levan on Thursday. The staff were just brilliant and attentive in that unimposing kind of way. Food was delicious and we particularly loved the bavette tartare, the roasted cauliflower and the chocolate mousse (enormous!). Would definitely recommend. Hard to comment on noise level as it was an early lunch and less busy.
Food was really excellent. I would say however that the cod plate was a bit expensive for the amount given. I would also have appreciated if the music had been lower. After all, we do go to restaurants not only for the food but to be able to chat with your friends without having to raise your voice. But again the food was very good and I am planning another visit.
Really enjoyed the comte frites and the tarte tatin. Both an absolute must.
The seabass was delicious, as was the truffled cauliflower to share. Definitely getting both again in future.
My friend ordered the roasted chicken leg but our waitress ordered it as the chicken schnitzel which wasn’t ideal but they took it off the bill. It was fine, if a little bland.
Our waitress was pretty slow and we had to ask for things multiple times but it was a leisurely meal so we weren’t too fussed, nice ambience and will definitely be back
Food was very good and service was great. Food however was very slow and whilst they provided us an additional complementary dessert this wasn’t really wanted. A better option would have been to deduct the cost of the dessert we actually wished to order.
Great food, great service, great soundtrack. Loved this place, will come back - there were plenty more dishes that I want to try!
Delicious food, nice atmosphere very chilled and huge selection of wine.
The food was very good, especially the deserts. Very nice mix of flavours and textures, nicely presented. Highly recommend this place!
We went for a special occasion. It is the best restaurant we have been to for a long, long time. Beautiful food, great service and a really cool vibe.
Excellent food, delicious meals! A noisy place and a bit chaotic to start with as we arrived earlier, thought to order a drink at the bar but nowhere to stand so gave up. Service great but our meals arrived one after another so we couldn’t eat them all together. Very tasty food so highly recommend for that reason.
Levan has a great atmosphere, attentive staff and the food is consistently good but a little pricey.
The food at Levan was very good and interesting. Unusually the larger plates were more successful than the small plates. Highlights were the octopus which was perfectly cooked (not sure I've ever had it so tender) and the lamb. The other dishes were good too but not amazing and their yumminess relied a little too much on salt, butter, aioli and hollandaise. All of these are good in themselves and make for a delicious but not refined meal. The service was really personal and enthusiastic. They even pushed us out of the restaurant when the next sitting arrived with charm.
The bill was quite large - over £80 for two with only 2 drinks, but we were full of food by the time we left. Would definitely go again it was very pleasant evening.
Really nice food in a nice atmosphere with good service, nothing not to like!
Our group all agreed it was one of the best meals we have had for a long time. Every dish was excellent. Highly recommend Levan!
We felt some of the portions were mean....one small piece of octopus! The cod was about 35mm wide. We also felt dishes lacked a little depth of flavour and seasoning. Tables are a bit close together. Service was fine. We expected more....food is better at the local bazaar in our view....tart tatain was very good though. We don’t feel the desire to rush back...that’s a shame
Great in every sense, fantastic unfussy food in a relaxed environment. Thank you Levan team!
Fantastic food, great wine list, lovely evening - highly recommended
Have loved Salon for a while so was looking forward to visiting Levan. Did not disappoint - food was really delicious. They were very accommodating with one member of our group who has allergies too, advising what was best for us to get so we could still share. Special mention to the desserts 🙌🏼 think it could get a bit expensive as a two, but in a group it was really reasonable
Second visit, second blissful evening. Our table ordered the "chef's menu" and I can only recommend. Generous, surprising but also honest and simple (in a good way), every bit of this menu shows a real love for good food, with enough creativity to modernise relatively classical associations. Not trying to hard to show off, it is good ingredients well prepared and associated in an interesting way. New enough to trigger enthusiastic comments from the diners without hi-jacking the whole conversation by pretending to be art.
Service is helpful, music is good. Wine list would benefit from a few more entry price options, but it is a good value overall. Please don't go, it is already difficult enough to get a table.
