One of the most enjoyable eating out experiences I've had for a very long time. Levan has the super-relaxed and friendly vibe you'd want from a local restaurant with the quality of cooking that you'd hope from the very best a big city can offer. Every dish we tried was excellent, with special praise going to the cured sardines and the mussels with nduja. I've eaten in several Michelin-starred places that would struggle to match the quality and imagination of Levan. Service was faultless and with a final bill lower than I've known in central London pubs Levan may be the best value for money in London.
I love Levan! It's my favourite neighbourhood restuarant - I wish I could afford to eat there all the time!
Amazing food, great friendly helpful service. Quite loud and packed full, but overall fabulous.
Lovely neighbourhood restaurant. Interesting menu, didn’t love everything we had but overall worth a try.
Great place. Reminded me of the quality one finds in Melbourne.
Good food but very small portions for the price. They do several seatings so be aware they will ask you nicely to leave on time for the next guests.
Great food, lovely friendly service - vast wine list.
Outstanding food. Everything was delicious. Would recommend... especially the tarte tatin.
Everything we ate at Levan was delicious and portion sizes refreshingly generous. Booking again!
Delicious and very memorable food , a unique experience .staff extremely attentive and charming .will definitely go again
Decent food & wine, good atmosphere but I feel it's a little pricey. Next time I 'd try the fish head that was on the specials.
The comte fries were very tasty - would order again.
The Duck rillettes were just OK - I wasn't too impressed
Burrata was top, by far the best dish
We got the chop as a special, it was tasty - a pretty straightforward chop.
Mille-feuille was tasty
Apple tarte tatin was really good
Wine was also decent.
Having read various amazing reviews, we were somewhat disappointed by the food. But the wine we chose was outstanding, and our waitress was seriously efficient and attentive to all her tables.
Great place to go after the cinema. Small menu of delicious sounding plates. Outstanding ravioli and duck rillettes. Wine not cheap but interesting selection. Fantastic knowledgeable staff made all the difference in this great neighbourhood gem.
Interesting and delicious menu - especially the celeriac ravioli, absolutely silky and flavourful. Everything was well presented and tasted great. Selection of wines by the carafe were reasonably priced and overall about £50 per head for lots of lovely food and wine was good value.
2 slight downsides 1) very noisy - busy of course, but poor acoustics, so ended up a bit shouty! 2) Table turning meant we were really rushed to get through all the courses - (it's sharing plates that come when they are ready) - and staff hovering to get rid of us at the end. Understand it is the stated policy - but it doesn't make for a very relaxing evening which is a shame. Maybe they need to allow an extra half hour between bookings - that would have been enough.
Great food with lots of surprising tastes. Service was excellent and friendly. Relaxed, informal atmosphere but very, very noisy. Couldn’t hear what our waitress was saying most of the time.
Absolutely loved it, so much flavor, everything is very original, well presented and staff is extra nice. Thank you for the little candle on my partner’s dessert :)
Food was outstanding and the service not far off. Our only niggle was the proximity of the tables to each other. We had to suffer two loud voiced upper class blokes who clearly had no volume control.
Wouldn’t put me off returning however as we loved and really get what the chefs seem to be aiming for...elevating staple dishes to another level whilst keeping prices within most folks’ pockets. Celeriac ravioli was stunning. Salted caramel tart tartine was stupendous. Waiting staff hit the right note of friendly and informative. Well done everyone!!
Amazing food, service, wine list and overall experience! Will be back again ASAP.
Great food and service. Lovely sharing plates for the whole table so great for a group of friends.
Home cured sardines and chocolate mousse dessert far too salty for our table but all the other dishes were amazing. Monkfish ceviche and cauliflower/kale and ravioli were our favourites!
We were incredibly happy with our meal. Every dish was delicious - the short rib and the ravioli were favorites - and the wine was varied and also very good! The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We can't wait to go back!
A fantastic experience all round. We were sat adjacent to the open kitchen which was well run and had a great vibe to it.
All the dishes we tried were great. My favourite was the ravioli, my wife’s the vacherin pie. The short rib was very well executed, one of the best I’ve had.
We’ll be going again and recommending to all our friends.
Really great food, very friendly service. Maybe slightly overpriced. Could do with some cheaper wines.
A fantastic meal, We opted for the 5course chefs selection
Menu font was difficult to read in the low lighting- nonetheless we let our taste buds solve culinary delights of each dish as we savoured each mouthful, Great choice of wine and a superb service ! A Timeless menu and a modern trend edge !
Good food in general but a disappointing shortage of meat options given the high prices, and unimpressive desserts. Tables were too close together but nice room and excellent service.
Amazing food and selection of wines. Really recommend it!
This is a fantastic restaurant. Everything about it is excellent. We are lucky to have it in the neighbourhood.
Wonderful food. Low key but helpful and attentive wait staff what more could you ask for! Excellent value for money.
Loved Levan. One of the best meals I have had in a while. Inventive and interesting food. The £41 chef's selection is great value. Would defo go again, and it's the other side of town for me.
The Vacherin and Potatoe pie is worth the trip itself!
One of the best meals I've had in London. Great service and a great setting. Excellent wines
The food was great however we were given one dish liver parfait which was not to my liking! But this could just be because I do not like it!
Overall it was a great place to go and eat!
Super delicious. It’s a bit expensive. Especially the wine list. But had a great time. Best meal I’ve had in a while.
The food was special, the opening of Levan seems to be a seminal moment for the Peckham food scene.
Great food and reallu helpful and friendly service I would recommend to all
The burrata with Jerusalem artichokes was a stand out dish, the wines were excellent and the service was really friendly and helpful
A fantastic lunch
We had the most incredible meal at Levan. It came highly recommended from friends, and we were so pleased we chose this restaurant for a special birthday meal.
We couldn't decide from the menu, so went for the Chef's Selection plus a burrata with pear. The monkfish was a highlight, but everything was delicious.
The service was attentive yet relaxed. The place was full, and felt lively and exciting.
Wonderful restaurant. The service was really outstanding, freindly, informative staff who made us feel very well looked after. The food was delicious, the mains and sides all brilliant the only weaker part if there was one was that the desserts were not as good as the rest.
Beware the winelist! Its extensive and brilliant. Independent producers, unusual and hard to find wines which the staff can expertly guide you through but the cheapest option starts at £45. The only gripe is that there could be a few less expensive wines for those on a tighter budget but overall highly recommended.
So so good! Excellent food, wine and service. Would highly recommend.
Excellent food/flavours and service - a great addition to the latest crop of restaurants in the area
Well thought through menu. Very enjoyable. Comte fries are a must ... so delicious.
