The Liberty Commons menu is largely inspired by quirky and imaginative twists on fine comfort food, with many dishes creatively integrating Big Rock Brewery’s quality craft beers, brewed on site.
will come back to sample more menu items! źzzzzzzzzzz
We had dinner on the patio which was really nice and cozy. The service was excellent and the food was great.
One of the best experiences we had during our trip to Toronto! Two of us shared the roast chicken dinner and it was one of the coolest dinners we’ve ever had. Great beer and cocktails too, very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area. Friendly, fast service - we’d definitely go back.
Food was just ok...the fish & chips was bit greasy and the fish tasted old. Would have liked coleslaw but it came with mushy peas...definitely an acquired taste. The gin lemonade was delicious!
Thanks very much for the experience. I appreciate the effort after my previous experience.
Service was great and the food was absolutely delicious.
The flavours were not what we were expecting for brunch. Amaze-balls.
Friendly staff and great ambiance. Perfect place to meet friends.
Chris: sorry about my colleague complaining.
Just know he’s “different” and we won’t be inviting him again unless he smartens up 🤪
We love you guys and you always take AMAZING care of us.
Food was awesome as always but we still aren’t ordering any coleslaw ...
The coleslaw with the brisket is a hard pass!
Server was so great. He was one of the most friendly and attentive e servers I’ve ever had.
Welcoming, Attentive service, a creative menu!!! Always delicious beers and food! My go to place when I’m in the area!! I’ll be back!!!
Service needs improvement. Our drink order was wrong when it arrived, our food order had mistakes and our server didn't seem knowledgeable or well trained. We had to have our bill corrected too. The music/noise levels were too high @ 5:30 - save it for later.
Great food and nice atmosphere . Second time there and it won't be the last.
My wife and I were on our way to a concert and her shoe broke :-(
We told the manager and he came back to our table with a colleague who basically lent my wife a pair of her tools to borrow for the concert and we returned them after the concert.
Above and beyond!!!
Food and atmosphere were great as well.
Excellent waiter - when he found out I had celiac he quickly discussed the dedicated gluten free deep fryer
Spoke to manager Chris about coming in from out of town for son's birthday - he made sure to save us a spot at the bar before the TFC game
they were all awesome
Our Yorkshire nachos came out very cold. Our server wasn’t very polite and it was hard to get his attention for him to come take our order. We requested a table on the balcony and got sat at a sub-par table right on the entranceway to the patio, so we were very uncomfortable having waiters passing right behind us with big heavy trays throughout the meal. We won’t be running back here unfortunately
Food was as expected as I’ve been here previously.
Me and my wife had a great lunch at Liberty Commons. Great atmosphere, I really enjoyed the playlist. Service was very attentive and knowledgeable. I had the sandwich of the day, pork cutlet and kimchi, it was fantastic, my wife had the fried chicken sandwich wich she loved. I highly recommend the classic beers flight for a 1st visit!
Went for Summerlicious with low expectations. Pleasantly surprised - food was excellent well presented.
Service was so fast and food was amazing!
Total 5 star all the way!!! We had brought friends visiting from Costa Rica who’s young daughter had many food sensitivities. Since the only protein she can eat is non-seasoned chicken. Since all their chicken offerings are marinated, which the rest of our party loved, the manager came to tell us that they were quickly running to a local market to purchase chicken! I only would have expected this level of service in a fine-dining venue! We all loved our dinner. Our favourite was the dill pickle fried cauliflower appetizer. We’ve had many similar versions but theirs was the best!
Industrial area...construction all around building. Very very very loud inside restaurant, we opted to eat outside... still loud with the large group playing a sports table game. Very young crowd... service was amazing!!! Very attentive...Summerlicious menu was ok, ordered off the menu & enjoyed the fish’n chips... pass on the mushy peas... no taste! Partner enjoyed the appetizer & loaded burger & fries.. Dessert was disappointing... some ice cream bar on a stick again nothing special! Been there done that!!
We went because Summerlicious was on. The dinner menu had a great selection. The food was great. Portions could’ve been a big bigger. The place is great for getting together with friends. The patio area is nice - it’s not next to the street like most are these days.
I ordered Summerlicious menu. Catfish was very delicious. I drank some kind of special beer and each kind was very good.
My sisters and I went out for brunch and ordered the Summerlicious lunch menu. We all found the food great, but there was an issue with one of my sisters not realizing what it was that she ordered and not liking one of the courses. When she asked for an alternative, it was quickly accommodated with no qualms. Needless to say the service was also excellent and we would definitely come back. This was an exceptional value for the quality of food and service we received.
Went for Summerlicious. Duck liver parfait and panna cotta were amazing. The pork bun was okay. What really stood out was our server. She was very attentive and sincere in her demeanour. Will definitely be back for brunch on the patio.
We had an enjoyable evening here. Service was really awesome. Great beer selections, the six of enjoyed everything we had. The basement decor is really cool. Nice patio too. Given the opportunity, we’ll be back.
5 people dined, 2 tried the Summerlicious special and the others ordered from the regular menu. All very tasty. Unique drinks were fun and also flavourable. Sat on the patio - great for a hot sunny day in the shade.
Nice patio and great service.
Enjoyed our meals very much!
We’ve been to Liberty Commons many times before. Not sure if it was because of Summerlicious or the pre concert crowd, but they were definitely off of their game.
The food was over cooked. For example, I had the smoked brisket and it was dry with no evidence of a smoke ring.
Servers (we had at least 4 through the evening) seemed confused and harried.
The food and atmosphere was great. The only issue was the waiter spilled drinks all over our table and us. It went all over my son and friend. I then had to wait what felt like forever for new drinks. We weren’t offered anything and it was disappointing.
Food was amazing
Great pre-game location. One beef with my visit on Saturday. I ordered poutine for lunch. When it came there was very little gravy on it. Once I FINALLY got my waitress to come back to our table, I asked for more. The kitchen is FAR from the dining room. She went towards the kitchen, came back, empty handed, and said that the extra gravy would be a dollar. I indicated that there wasn't actually enough gravy on the poutine to cover the fries or melt the cheese curds. She went BACK to the kitchen and came back with a DIFFERENT gravy than what was on the poutine. By this point I have very little of my lunch left and it is no longer warm. Not my favourite visit to this location for sure.
We went for dinner prior to a concert at the amphitheater. The service was slow at first however this was due to it being prime dinner time. The waiter was apologetic and very attentive. We let the waiter know it was ok and not his fault since it was so busy at the time. Food was excellent and we would not hesitate to go back! Thank you!
I have had the pleasure of coming here a few times prior to a concert at Budweiser Stage. It is a vibrant place which means don't think you can have a quiet conversation here. The drink menu and selection of beers are good and even as a non beer drinker, I can find something I like. We have sampled many of the menu items such as the salads, and tuna bowl and found them to be excellent quality, if not slightly on the small size. The calamari however was a disappointment. We mentioned to our server, after a very long delay in getting the order, that this was possibly the worse calamari I have ever had. Much to our delight the calamari was removed from our bill, apparently not because of our comment, but rather due to the delay. Regardless it was appreciated and reveals good customer service. So dear Chef, we will be back but can you fix the calamari as I know you can based on the other quality items.
Loved everything except the Caesar salad. It was a bit weird. Ribs were amazing and the wine selection is great.
I have Celiac and was worried about not being able to eat much because of my allergy. Liberty Commons is amazing and have so many gluten free options! The fish and chips were incredible and the corn bread was also so good! I would definitely eat here again
ill be back. with friends. lots of friends. lots and lots of friends
The music was disturbing and the service was good but the rapid delivery of the food was that of a cafeteria, not a fine dining experience.
Thanks to Russ, Alice (from SCOTLAND :-) and Marcus for the hospitality...
