Linda's Journey at Hill Station Cafe
We ate every scrap of every dish at this weekly pop-up, set in a warm and welcoming local community centre, with shabby chic decor and an informal vibe. Last Friday they were serving Southern Indian curries and street food. I particularly loved the chat and fishcakes served with a spicy tomato sauce. Even the complimentary chai, which I don't always enjoy, was delicately flavoured and not overly sweetened for my palate. The couple who run the restaurant have both had successful careers as professional chefs. All the food was freshly cooked, arrived quickly and was of a very high standard. The sticky toffee pudding was light and delicious with vanilla ice cream. Definitely going back.
