We had an excellent brunch at Liora. Service was great. The food and coffee (french press) were amazing. Dessert was out of the world phenominal. We are not vegan but don't eat dairy and egg so we tend toward vegan at breakfast/brunch. We will definitely be making this our regular weekend brunch spot.
Great vegan spot, had the waffles, braised greens and the bread pudding, everything was filling, the taste of all the dishes was on point, loved all the plants in the space
My partner and I came here for a Saturday noon brunch. We were in Baltimore for a convention and were looking for a vegan-friendly place to have lunch. Liora is a 5 minute walk from the convention center and is entirely plant-based so it was a perfect option.
We had an excellent experience at the restaurant. The decor was warm and inviting. Our server was quick, courteous, and friendly. We ordered the Scramble Sandwich and Spanish Tortilla as mains, the Cheesy Grits and Smashed Fingerlings as sides, and the Panna Cotta for dessert. Each dish was fantastic and we couldn't decide which we liked the best. It was a really great meal. Coming to Liora was reason enough to drive into the city and we will definitely be back.
Amazing food and service. Some of the best flavor combinations I’ve ever had at a vegan restaurant. I will return!
I will absolutely go back for a meal again. Everything about this place was high in quality and there is an extra special gift at the end where you get to keep a crystal. You are surrounded by beautiful plants and high vibe music. The service is through genuine kind souls as well. Highly recommend!
First time at an upscale vegan place. Not bad for a carnivores like myself. But my wife, a vegetarian, really enjoyed the tomato lasagna and the old bay chips.
Beautiful space. Beautiful food and cocktails. I’ll definitely go back.
We informed ahead of time that my son is allergic to nuts, but when he started appetizer he immediately started feeling allergy symptoms. May be that dish was contaminated? Certain items in the menu was not available. The other items were okay. Food was very expensive.
Phenomenal! Yes, everything was phenomenal!
The most delicious food ever! The crabcakes were amazing they were the best crabcakes ever even including the toxic kind with seafood going vegan. Amazing presentation!
Being vegan and gluten free it is very hard to find a good meal in Baltimore. No more! I was able to have a “cheese platter”, delicious main course and a dessert of a deconstructed banana cream pie topped with brûléed bananas! I loved it so much I bought the cookbook. If you’re looking for more plant based meals in an upscale environment, this is it!
My experience was incredible! The food was delicious (the Mac and cheese and panna cotta were AMAZING) and the service was even better!! Between my server, Hannah, and the chefs I was able to interact with through their open kitchen format, I felt like I was at home with family ❤️ 10/10 would recommend this establishment for anything from a celebration to just a nice place to get a drink! And a special shout-out to Hannah for being so so sweet and accommodating while I took myself on a birthday date! You made my experience even better than I could have imagined!
The money is pretty limited and over priced for what it is, also they did not have more than one item on the menu. I get their supply chains issues but do you know you can still vegetables in the refrigerator … right ? Also the drinks are the WEAKEST in the city. Not a cocktail place
Ambiance: lovely, noise not bad
Side salad delicious
Good wine list
Burger truly inedible (dry,pasty, salty)
I was there late in the day they were out of 3/4 desserts
Other items going to other tables looked good. Do not get the burger,
Service: there was only one waitress working the entire restaurant. My service was slow (I was seated 12 min before anyone approached my table even for water) but she was working hard and was professional. Not her fault.
Bottom line: not many veggie/vegan options in the Inner Harbor. I would go back, but with diminished expectations. In a post Covid environment I think it will improve.
Service was amazing! The place is beautifully decorated; however, the menu was subpar.
As others have already stated, absolutely delightful experience from beginning to end! So grateful that Matthew Kenney has brought plant-based fine dining to Baltimore and hope that many more will come out and support this incredible venture. The interior was light, fresh, and cozy, and our sever Domonique was a kind delight who recommended dishes to us that we absolutely LOVED.
We tried the barbacoa taco, crab cakes, and smoky maitake mushroom with cheesy grits and braised greens. I've never had such flavorful AND healthy cuisine before! Food came out quickly and was devoured almost as fast :) Parking was not as difficult as we anticipated on this side of the harbor (though we did visit on a Sunday evening). Great drinks selection as well, and as a vegan with nut allergies, I highly appreciated the clear menu labeling. We will certainly consider this a place to celebrate future occasions.
Had a lovely meal and the service was friendly, hospitable, and responsive. Would definitely eat there again.
Awesome dinner! Loved the meal and the special chocolates for desert were amazing.
I am not a vegan, but their food is very good. The tikka avocado is really good.
Amazing food whether you’re a vegan or not. Now among my top restaurants in Baltimore.
Special occasion = vegetarian friends in town. For vegan food it was amazing - gorgeous presentation & good service too. Cocktails also top notch.
What a knockout! Really exceeded our expectations. Start with 1 of the tacos for each person in your party and you will know you are going to have a good meal!
We recently dined at Liora for the first time on our anniversary and absolutely loved it. Neither of us are vegan (I am a vegetarian and my husband is an omnivore) but the dishes are so thoughtfully designed that anyone would love them. Staff was very friendly and attentive, and the cocktails and dishes were just as beautiful as delicious. We enjoyed the Old Bay chips with scallion dip, the War of the Roses (cocktail with our favorite Empress gin), the jackfruit crab cakes, the BBQ beets with Mac (super rich and creamy), and the smoky maitake. The deconstructed banana cream pie was amazing. We will definitely return.
Such a good restaurant! This was our second visit. First, IT'S BEAUTIFUL. Light and airy, big handsome room with lots of great greenery. I love the menu and vow to try most everything on each visit. The food is delicious, clever and inventive. Can't wait to return (to both restaurants, actually - we love Double Zero too).
We absolutely loved this unique styled vegan restaurant. The entry way for starters is very welcoming with a touch of oasis reeling.
The staff greeted us immediately after entering and we very pleasant to speak with. They reminded us of our noted restrictions on our reservation and seated us immediately.
We sat directly across from the Chefs kitchen so we got an actual grill to table experience.
The prep area was cleaned their Su-Chef was pleasant as well when bringing the food to our table.
With the first bite our waiter was there asking how was it and if we needed anything.
The food and drink was amazing to say the least and we will dine there more often!
This place is beautiful. The service was amazing (shoutout to Hannah) and the food is beautiful, creative, and delicious. There is a great ambiance, and delicious cocktails. We will definitely be back soon.
Delicious food, great drinks, outstanding service. It was the perfect birthday night dinner
Amazing food and service, love the ambiance of the resturant!
Great vegan food in a fabulous atmosphere. Great location as well.
Liora was understaffed and the food came out at random times. The staff didn’t seem to know where to take the food. Other than the service, the food was delicious. They gave us a free mac and cheese for our caesar salad being late. The restaurant is gorgeous on the inside and the bathrooms were clean
The menu at Liora is inventive with vegan classics like mac and cheez and new takes like bbq beets. They also have the best vegan cheese plate I've had. Great to have a new vegan dining option!
I went with a good friend and she is not plant-based. She took her first bite, and when she did I said "I wish I could've gotten a picture of your reaction!" It was obvious it was so good. And the MAC & CHEESE!!!!! I got some to go, as well! (: Will be back for brunch!
Very good food , the staff was very inviting and personable. The atmosphere was relaxing, fashionable and comfortable
This was our first visit to Liora. The restaurant has a pleasing and modern decor. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and our server greeted us with menus very quickly. We each started with a gazpacho which was well-prepared and delicious. The entrees we selected were a curry roasted cauliflower with sweet potato and cashews, and bbq beets with macaroni and cheese. Each entree was very good, and we were happy with our choices. We did not order a dessert. The menu selections are quite pricey for a routine dinner out.
My husband learned of Liora while looking for out of town vegan restaurants. I have one upscale vegan restaurant in my home time. The rest are too casual. Liora had it all. Impeccable service, lovely ambiance, and delicious and imaginative food. Excellent. Cannot wait to try Double Zero when I am back in the area.
Was pleasantly surprised at the creativity and care that went into every dish. Beautiful presentation and delicious plates and drinks.
Awesome food and service! Another outstanding Matthew Kenny restaurant. Will definitely be back and recommend.
My girlfriend and I were really excited to try Liora during Vegan Restaurant Week. Unfortunately, she is allergic to pumpkin seeds which are an ingredient in the Barbacoa Tacos which we had as our appetizer, and she became very sick during the meal. Other than that, we had the BBQ Beets, Mac and Cheese, and Kimchi Slaw -the mac and cheese was pretty good, but my girlfriend did not like the way the beets were spiced. We also had the Smoky Maitake Mushroom, Cheesy Grits, and Shitake Bacon Braised Greens - Was ok, some of the greens had not been removed from the stalks which was offputting. I didn't like the seasoning that much.
Overall, I would say the food was so-so and the prices were kind of high, considering that the food is all plant-based.
Loved the homemade vegan cheese and lasagna. We will be back for more when in Baltimore.
