The nicest Indian meal I have ever had; light, fresh and flavoursome. It was a relief to see the staff taking the rules regarding Covid seriously. Being asked to sanitise our hands on arrival and all staff wearing face coverings. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in a London.
Ate here with my partner, sister and brother in law with our small children.
First impressions were good however when we realised how much the total bill was we were disgusted.
9 pounds for popadoms to the table of which usually this is complimentary. They charged nearly 8 pounds each for the worst children’s meal of 4 chicken nuggets and chips. The nuggets were awful and kids would not eat them! 8 pounds for happy meal food. It was honestly shocking.
The food portions are extremely small for what you pay I was not full up after my meal whatsoever. Rice was nearly 5 pounds for such a small portion.
We disputed the bill and were not happy with what we paid. The manager was so unhelpful.
We left very angry and upset which ruined our first night away in London. I was really looking forward to coming here and chose this over many other restaurants. I wish I had gone else where.
I really do not understand how this place has such good reviews. I would describe it as average and overpriced.
Avoid if you are a family.
Fantastic place, both with the quality of food and the level of service.
Will visit every time we are in London.
Had a great meal here with a friend, reasonably priced for London and very attentive service.
The service and food were fantastic. The staff really went out of their way.
A nice little genuine Indian restaurant.
Food very average, not good value. Served the condiments in single use cups which wasn’t very attractive. Found a fly in the mango chutney
The best Indian food ever. Addicted to the Food and the ambience
Fantastic meal, totally looked after us. Could not fault the meal or the service.
The restaurant did not honour the reservation.
We booked for 6pm, arrived at 6.05 and were kept waiting for 30 mins in a bizarre waiting room that looked like someone's living room. We were told we would be served drinks while waiting that never arrived, and were told that our table would be ready in 5-10 minutes even though it was clear that none of the tables in the restaurant were even close to being finished.
Very disappointed as I have heard great things about their food, but was unable to try it due to their lack of organisation.
The service was warm and attentive. The food was top notch as well - just the right proportions with the right mix of spices.
This is a very good local Indian restaurant which I have been frequenting for many years when in London. I will continue to dine here.
We ordered 5 dishes and all were too sweet and not what we expected for our usual Indian fare. Perhaps it's better suited for other palates.
Lovely restaurant & food was delicious & flavoursome. So handy for the Royal Albert Hall & other landmarks. Will definitely return.
Our first time here and was not disappointed. Would recommend this lovely little restaurant.
Good service, poor food ..
Far too much sugar in the dishes, especially the tikka masala and the mattar paneer (hey cook, it’s not a desert !). The veggie samosas are just average (tasted so much better elsewhere). Total bill £200 for 4 it’s not worth it.
2nd time here. I think the foods are really delicious and reasonably priced.
We chose Little India as it’s close by The Royal Albert Hall. It was highly recommended on Trip Advisor. Although it was only 6pm, it was busy and a bubbly atmosphere.
Was impressed by service and food. Restaurant was quite busy at 4.30pm and nearly full by 5.30. Would go again
No recommandation, the Selection of Starters was the worst Starters we ever had.
Very nice food however we felt very rushed through out the whole meal as the table was relatively late on a Sunday evening.
Suggest not to accept bookings after a certain time if the staff really want to get away
A great little gem, service by all the staff is 5 Star. The food is so tasty and authentic, considering the location the price is very fiar. Yes, Little India is a small restaurant, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up in quality of service and tasty food at a fair price. We are going to visiting again again.
Very good Indian food and close to Royal Albert Hall.
Lovely food and service the only issue we had was that our table was by the door which was constantly opening and we were repeatedly blasted with cold air.
However I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant and I would definitely go again
Great service and food. Shame they add a service charge to the bill (just two of us dining). It w be VERY easy to miss the service charge on the hand written bill and end up paying the charge and leaving a tip.
Mr Kay was very kind and friendly!
The food was delicious and his advice were appropriate.
Lived up to big expectations! Superb food choices with some really spicy options. Very fast pre show service by attentive staff. Great location for Albert Hall. Highly recommended.
We had a table for 2 booked in advanced and when we got there, the place (it's really LITTLE as the name says) was packed (and our table not ready) and had people waiting STANDING RIGHT BEHIND the tables .. imagine having dinner with people right behiNd you, passing comments and overlooking your conversation...
More than 15 minutes after booking time, they offered us a LITTLE table, which was just 15 cms away left and right from other tables... so they offered us having dinner with other tables just OVER US and people standing behind us...
When we complained their only answer was "If you don´t like this table, then leave..." totally disrespectfully..
They ruined our Wedding Anniversary weekend plans last Saturday October 12th.
DONT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!
Very friendly staff and service and the food was awesome. I recommend.
Great quality, home-style Indian cuisine. Not too salty, or oily, just really tasty! Not bad prices either! Bravo!
Thank you Little India. You guided us through a delicious meal with recommendations for dips, starters, main dishes, vegetable sides and of course naan. Our group included a vegetarian with seafood allergies and both newcomers to Indian food and others already savvy with this cuisine and with spicier tastes. We all came away satisfied.
Was quite pleased with both the service and quality of food. We would definitely eat there again if we were in the area.
My Girlfriends and i enjoyed our dinner very much and we thank Mr Kay for an unforgettable evening.
Add things to the bill
The food is less than average
It’s start OK but end badly
Decent food but aggressive waiter pushing for positive online reviews
Perfect as usual. Fantastic place and will always visit when in London.
The food was good, but nothing to rave about. From the moment we opened our menus, Mr Kay rushed over and insisted we get 2 orders of the dinner for 2. It was 50 pounds each. We agreed, assuming there would be plenty of food. Unfortunately, for the price, we had soup / fruit bowl sized food portions to be shared amongst 2 people and it was a family of 4, including an 18 year old boy and grown man. Definitely not enough food, and we would have spent less and likely gotten more food if we each ordered 1-2 dishes from the menu. The most odd part came when Mr Kay asked my 2 teens to complete a review in trip advisor. He told them what to say in the review and to reference his name and to give him 5 stars. He even hovered over their shoulders as they typed. All of this made sense to me, because I selected the restaurant based on the 4.5/5 ratings and the constant reference to Mr Kay was noticed. Now I know the ratings are forced and are completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
The food was good - we did a preset sampler of some standard introductory Indian cuisine, and our waiter Zuber provided excellent service!
Expected food to be more flavorful.
Good service, good food. The only negative was that they don't just add 10% to the bill as a service charge, but it is not clear on the bill or explained to you, and they also ask you if you wish to tip them when you pay with a card. This is dishonest. It was only because I saw the small print at the end of the bill I didn't tip twice. What is the 10% service added for if not for good service?!
Charged for things that were not really ordered.
