    Little Rock is a short walk away from the large Folkestone Harbour Arm car park. This is on the site of the old harbour port and currently costs £3.40 for up to 2 hours and then £1.70 per hour for up to 8 hours. All day parking (over 8 hours) costs £14. Prices subject to change.

Little Rock is approximately a 25-minute walk following signs for Folkestone Harbour Arm.There is a bus stop at the bottom of the Old High Street serviced by Stagecoach buses 72, 100, 101 and 102. Folkestone’s main bus station is in the centre of town, approximately a 15 minute walk away.

                                                                            Another success from the Rocksalt Group. Fancied a changed of scene from Rocksalt, and Wife of Bath so we went to Little Rock. Venue was great and the food was brilliant. Been watching Rick Stein talking about France and their food all week, but very proud to see the Brits can create great food with great ambience also. Would recommend LR to anyone.

                                                                            We were in Folkestone on a day out with a friend. We absolutely loved it! The welcome was so genuinely friendly, the service impeccable, and the food generous in portion and well presented and full of flavour. We had three different mains and all of them met with yummy-making noises. The view from the terrace, where our table was, is particularly lovely, as it gives directly on the sea. Once we finished our mains, as an added plus, we retired from our table to the lounging deck chairs for some prosecco and sparkling rosé in the sun. The 1.5 hour drive from South London was so worth it!

                                                                            Firstly the team were faultless and you could tell how well they liked each other because everything was seemless. The food was delicious. The ambience was relaxed and chilled. They even put the weather into fab mode for us. This was a surprise birthday present for my son who hasn't been to Folkestone for probably about 20 years. Loved it snd thank you for making it so special.

                                                                            Your seafood platter for two was disappointing in that your restaurant had none of a key ingredient —oysters. Simply told you had none because it was end of week? No dispensation given on the price without oysters. Wine was good value at £21.50 especially given that your next door bar charges exorbitant prices. £9.5 for a plastic glass of wine which people queue for! Really? We booked a table for two but asked if we could have a pré-prandial outside where there were seats and where we eventually had lunch. We were told if we wished to have a drink outside we should go next door which meant to your vastly over-priced sister bar. Really? The young lady who served us lunch was good and deserved the service charge but you ask clients to list if they have a special reason to dine with you. We presumed this might mean you acknowledge special anniversaries, birthdays etc but clearly you use the information no such purpose other to inform yourself about why people visit you.

                                                                            Disappointing lunch which is unusual for this restaurant. Wish that you could pay for today’s catch by weight as my fish was half the size of others. Would not have served this as a main course. The potatoes were undercooked and had to be sent back. Never got any potatoes in the end.. hollandaise was off. Service rushed and lacked normal high level. Was given the worst table by the door. Would not have minded if it was busy but plenty of other available tables that were still empty when we left. Not sure why we could not have changed.. A bit upsetting as I had taken my mum as a special treat.

                                                                            My brunch dish was seared Folkestone Scallops on Gribiche Dressing on toasted Sourdough bread. Very tasty but toast crust was burnt, brittle and uneatable. My wife had a crab dish with same Sourdough toast and again crust burnt and uneatable. We raised the issue with waitress, who said that was the trouble with Sourdough bread, it doesn’t toast well!! This restaurant is great for Folkestone and I’m sure it will do well BUT if we visit again I will not order anything with toasted Sourdough Bread. I suggest there be an airlock lobby on door because our table was next to the door and extremely cold when door was opened and cold wind blew in.

                                                                            Wonderful flavoursome cooking served by very caring staff. However the management need to be cautious as to their policy especially quantity. Staff need to be trained, cared for and well presented. Consumers these days can be very selective as to where they go next to get better value for a more professional service.

                                                                            The service and food was brilliant and a phone call from the staff helped us to find the venue when we were running late. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff smiled and were attentive. The choice was brilliant for Celiac/GF diet. We look forward to returning.

This is on the site of the old harbour port and currently costs £3.40 for up to 2 hours and then £1.70 per hour for up to 8 hours. All day parking (over 8 hours) costs £14. Prices subject to change.
