Tasty food and wine at a decent price. Large outdoor space but beware of phone snatchers if you sit outside.
Sat outside as requested. Was under the railway bridge in borough market. A fellow diner had an attempted phone robbery whilst just trying to enjoy her food.
The food was in general fine but I have had much better tapas. The octopus was tough, the chorizo in red wine was inedible. A tiny wine list without variation on price. The cheapest bottle being like £36.
Food was amazing - our table at the top of the stairs wasn’t great
Having dined here on several occasions we were disappointed with the food and the service for the first time ever at Lobos. The portion sizes seemed to have gotten smaller especially the size of the croquetas, mini mouth sized compared to what they used to serve. The grilled octopus was cold, we were asked if we wanted something else or a replacement so we opted for the croquetas instead, the server brought out the octopus then 30 seconds later another server brought out the croquetas, not sure what was going on with the communication amongst the Team or why we had two different servers for a table of 2. The tortilla was tasty but once again a lot smaller in size compared to when we've had it previously. Even though we didn't have the octopus it still appeared on the bill, which they removed once we asked them to. I hope this was a one off as we have always enjoyed the food and service at Lobos. I must mention that we were originally booked on a table outside and the staff were most helpful and prompt in finding us a table indoors, which we really appreciated.
Great food and ambiance, only detractor is food is expensive for what you get. Would expect better than paper cups for £100+ meals as well.
We had a great time :)! The food was lovely and so was the service. Can only recommend.
Great food and nice to sit outside in Borough Market.
Great place, great service, great food. They’ve now got outdoor seating in the market which was lovely.
Nice atmosphere, we sat outside on the terrace and it was buzzing. Great food, excellent service
We were on a table outside due to lack of inside tables so it was a bit cold and noisy (trains above). Steak and Foie Gras was delicious but pricey for the size of the portions. Cheesecake was average. Nothing wrong with the whole experience but at £60 per head and considering the table location, food quality and portion size it is unlikely that we would return with so many places to choose from in Borough Market.
It’s a little weird to be sitting under the bridge outside in canteen seating, not the best experience with a whopping £80 per head bill. Upside is the food has returned to the level when I first fell in love with that place. Caveat - that is at a significantly reduced menu
Wonderful food and service! The inefficient ham and the garlic prawns were delicious. Nice bread too!
Good tasty tapas. Nothing revolutionary but well done.
I've been to Lobos quite a few times over the years as it's probably one of my favourite restaurants in South London, but I have to say the quality of the food this time was quite disappointing (especially considering how lovely the food was in my previous visits).
Too pricey for what we got.
Amazing food and service and atmosphere. 100% returning again.
Very good service and food as usual. Love the fatty iberico pork
Food -pretty average... Sirloin was good but the only option was medium rare with no option to choose. I prefer medium. Not much taste considering it was a sirloin. Bravas was a tiny potion and nothing too special.
Chillis were great as always.
Staff - The service and staff however were great welcoming and polite. Excellent service.
Disappointed as had really high expectation and had been so excited to visit. Nice experience but overpriced for what the food is and in quite easily pleased. Sorry. Won’t be returning.
We couldn't dine in (outdoor tables) but that's to respect social distance I guess. Apart from that the food was ok and the service fast.
Great wine and tapas, with a relaxed ambience and friendly service.
Limited options if not going with the steak.
Very tasty tapas, nice environment and friendly staff. A step above the other tapas restaurants I have been to in London.
Authentic Spanish bar food. Stand out was the octopus, the chuleton and the cava. All was very good. Service delightful. Upstairs is noisy so ate downstairs which is rather cramped and warm.
Lobos is great for a grey day or at night as it has a wonderful cosy atmosphere under the railway arches. They use ingredients of high quality, you can pick reasonable priced tapas or go for something more exotic like the Otopus. Great service too.
Incredibly overpriced and food quality not as good as I would have expected. Good service though.
Loved the atmosphere here - under a railway track gave it something different! The food was very good and the staff very friendly. Definitely reccommend.
Food was generally nice but not that exciting and a little overpriced
The waitress was brilliant and we had such lovely food and wine - highly recommend
Going for tapas is rarely a cheap affair for me - I want to try everything - but at Lobos we got what we paid for and ate really well. My date and I disagreed about our favourite dishes, which I thought was a good sign: it meant that everything was really good! Loved the outside space under the bridge and our courteous, efficient and warm waitress. The whole experience was great. We had a wonderful, memorable time. Highly recommended.
Amazing food, great waiters and super service
Amazing meal at Lobos again. With the social distancing guidelines I was interested to see how this would work, but was very impressed with the steps taken. It was also nice to be sitting outside around borough market having a nice meal.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We’re pretty surprised that there was a £10 service charge when we had only had a couple of dishes delivered. Asked for it to be reduced.
Loved the food at LOBOS, but getting kicked out before I had finished talking with my friend, left a slight bitter taste in my mouth.
Lovely food - and they are managing social distancing well but still have a good atmosphere.
Could have been more vegetarian choice!
Fantastic food. The octopus and prawns were the highlight as are the croquettes and steak with foie gras
Wonderful service, incredible food, lovely time
The food and service was brilliant but I did feel it was a tad overpriced.
Lovely tapas menu and a great setting
Absolutely love Lobos!! Seeing one of my best mates for the first time in 6 months. Service amazing, food and wine exceptional. Highly recommend
Given the issues with social distancing, the staff are doing a good job, the service was a little hectic but the place was very busy. The new outdoor seating was really good.
Get the Sirloin on the bone!! Great find in Borough Market, highly recommend.
