Absolutely fabulous. I could not fault anything. The food was delicious. Service was excellent. We cannot wait to return.
Wonderful food. Wonderful service.
Really lovely meal but we were cold sitting outside with no heaters. Tuna starter was incredible, will definitely be back!
Definitely recommend Lobstar and will comeback for some more mouthwatering and delicious seafood.
The outside ambience was unexpected but street view was amazing at night + the fleece blanket haha!
Overall food was great and service was excellent.. friendly and helpful staff.
Started with four sneaky naked oysters before our Calamari starters.
Then the Breaded Cod and parmesan and truffle chips, and Prawn Tagliatelle, paired with a medium bodied Spanish Rioja.
Dessert was the apple Tartin and two Baileys coffees.
The food was outstanding and delicious! 5 STAR
The service was excellent, 5 STAR and considering the restrictions, the food was definitely worth the cold weather. (throws available to the outdoor diners)
Amazing restaurant and one of the best we have been to for fish on the southside of Dublin.
Excellent food and dry pleasant service. Would recommend highly
The big downside was that, due to the COVID restrictions, we dined outside and the restaurant isn’t set up for outdoor dining in terms of windbreakers and outdoor heaters.
Everything else was really good, food was delicious and service was really good too
Food was amazing and menu is different enough to be special. Staff are lovely and friendly. Wine list is great. Great atmosphere. Will be returning.
Fabulous food as always. It was very noisy but not a lot you can do I understand. Didn’t take from a super food experience.
Highly recommend, the food is so tasty and the staff are incredible! Love going here!
Staff very efficient, helpful & friendly,
Very Covid friendly
Delicious food. Friendly staff, nice decor and ambiance. I thought that the portions were just a bit too small for the price that is charged.
I wouldn't normally eat in Monkstown but much easier now with cycle route along the coast.
Lovely meal, food was outstanding
Asian Cooler oysters amazing and I don’t even like oysters. I’m converted. Black sole to share amazing. I really like lobstar and will continue to go back. Lots of starter dishes to share if you didn’t feel like doing the typical three course meal
We had the perfect dinner. Food was fab. Wine was fab. Ambience was perfect. Must try
If you like lobster, the place to go! Not cheap but very tasty food and presentation. Also other fish and seafood and steaks available.
Lobstar is one of the beat restaurants I've been to.the food is always fantastic and the staff ate always smiling
Lovely restaurants with exceptional food, well worth a visit
One of our favourite restaurants in Dublin!!
Great quality of cooking & service.
Fab restaurant esp for fish lovers - the fabulously fresh oysters are a perfect start to the experience. Service is extremely friendly and attentive - u can never tell who owns the restaurant as all staff serve you as if it’s their own. We love this restaurant and feel very lucky to have Lobstar in our neighbourhood.
Great little place in a great location (heart of Monkstown) with delicious food and courteous, friendly service. We sat in front of the window looking outside and it was great to watch the village vibes while enjoying the atmosphere and food.
Just wanted to say thank you, my wife and I had the most amazing meal last night Oysters, Prawns and the black sole were the best ever.
Great to sit and talk to you both at the end
Thank you for making my wife’s birthday special
We will be back soon ! 5+
Staff were very and the food was delicious. Looking forward to going again
A tiny little slip of a restaurant in Monkstown with only a few tables given the Covid-19 restrictions...but boy what an experience...a genuinely friendly caring service led by owner and Hostess Veronika and her mighty little Team (Sydney, Maria and Marko) along with her main man Szolt weaving his magic in the kitchen...stunning Irish prawns in a bowl of wonder...beautiful scallops and a magnificent butterfly lobster in garlic butter and lemon. A wonderfully modest wine selection and a creative cheese platter with home made crackers and coffee infused melting chocolate ball to finish! What a gorgeous night! Boom! 💥 J
Very good mussels, good breaded cod, beautifully presented food, excellent service, nice atmosphere, good value if you stick to early bird 2 course. Could end up expensive if you had 3 courses a la carte with specials etc
Ate here in group of three on a Friday at 5pm. 2 menus including early bird. Almost all main courses and at least 1 starter had supplements, something I dont understand. Service was quick and attentive. Starters were very nice as were the mains. 3 starters, 3 mains (including 1 lobster), 1 dessert, 1 coffee, 2 waters and 2 bottles of wine (85 total) came to e252 plus e25 tip. Enjoyable experience, though the decor was more like sitting in a kitchen (wall tiles)
Good food, good service, good value, casual dining not intimate dining atmosphere but its not trying to be. Go for it - you won't be disappointed!
Excellent food. The fish is beautifully cooked, Unprententous place with some seriously good cooking and service to match
The food and service were great. Really fresh seafood and the lobstar was delicious. Service was excellent and we didn't feel rushed in any way. Only slight criticism was that their wine list was quite expensive, not much under €40. We will definitely be back though.
Food was exceptional... decor v cold and lacking atmosphere
Just wonderful from start to finish. Delicious oysters, mussels and lobster and desert was divine. Great wine selection and service was fantastic. Grrat atmosphere and music selection. Highly recommend and can't wait to return :)
Excellent service, delicious food. Pricey but top quality food.
Very small menu and they were out of the one main fish dish that wasn’t lobster (mind you, we went at 6 pm on a Saturday) which was unfortunately our entire reason for going
The food was flawless, thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent too.
The food was superb, the service helpful and not annoying every 5 minutes. Overall great dining experience
Expensive but Worth it .food Is top class
Also early bird menu excellent value
Quite small restaurant
Definitely will be back
Such a treat
Great meal and great service! Loved every minute of it.
Super evening and really enjoyed the starters in particular.
Great ambiance, great food, great service. Prices increased and the serving size of fries and sides ludicrously small, laughable actually.
It was one of the best experience in Dublin! We will go back very soon!
