Great meal, will definitely be back!
Excellent meal again. food keeps getting better. Don't be fooled by this little place. It's all very cosy and casual but the food is even better than the surroundings suggest. Great food, and atmosphere with excellent service. Go !!
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. They don't serve beer or spirits which is a bit disappointing. It is quite expensive, but the mains are a good size , so need for starters
Great service, servers were very friendly and helpful. Great fusion of Asian and French cuisine (I love béarnaise sauce with seafood). Disappointing size of the lobster, tail just bit bigger than large prawn. It was our second time there, first time this mind blowing, this time just OK.
Excellent as always - great for couples, friends, families
Great food, fantastic service in a cosy neighbour hood setting
I love it here - perfect food for any occasion! The service is the best in Dublin.
Excellent excellent. The sauces used were amazing. Only downside was serving size of Lobster ravioli dish left me wanting more, but everything else was brilliant.
Excellent food and service, also good wine selection, will be back for sure!
Everything was so flavoursome and cooked to perfection. The scallops were spot on as was the risotto - both cooked just right. The lobster ravioli and lobster roll were incredibly tasty. Not cheap but 100% worth it.
Excellent food very good attentive staff would recommend. Food also very reasonably priced.
As always the dining experience at Lobstar is exceptional . Wonderful oysters , fish , cheese ; that excellent Hungarian wine ; service as ever so professional but marked out by friendliness . I recommend it to everyone . It is an oasis of taste and ambience in south county Dublin. Love it .
This is one of our go to eateries for fine, fine food, wonderful welcome and all round pleasant evening, every time.
Gorgeous menu, everything is delicious. The chicken wings, the tuna and the ravioli are incredible. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Nice wine list. The ambiance is so lovely and cosy and chilled out. Never disappoints.
Great evening, superb food, warm welcome, excellent service.
Only negative is the icy cold draft of air periodically when the door opens! A small quibble.....
Overall a great evening: thank you
What a phenomenal place to each - DELICIOUS food, beautiful presentation and delightful staff. I absolutely love it here.
Lovely food and buzzing atmosphere. Really enjoyed our visit
Reasonable food but not amazing. Nice staff/service. Small room which can be quite noisy
Simply an absolutely gorgeous restaurant in the heart of Monkstown Village. From their professional and friendly service to their delicious food it’s a restaurant worth visiting again and again. Really top notch 👌🏼
My wife and I had dinner.
To start, we both had the pan fried scallops with smoked Jerusalem artichoke purée, carrots, dill, black olives. It was perfect.
For main, my wife had the lobster ravioli, which was “open ravioli” unusually, but was delicious and I tried some. My wife had a glass of Rhône rose, which was ok. (preference would usually be a Provence rose)
I had the ultimate surf and turf with the beef fillet and lobster tail for main course. Fantastic, tasty and decent portion of beef. I had a red Rioja with it.
For dessert, my wife had the French Custard Cake, which was sinfully good. I had the chocolate mousse.
Overall, the food was excellent. Wine list was a bit disappointing. The venue is tiny and sitting near the door would be very cold in winter but a move was offered and snapped up. We will go back as the food is so good.
An amazing meal! Attentive staff, fantastic menu, a great evening
Lovey setting, excellent food and incredible service. It’s small intimate and well worth a visit. Just be aware they don’t serve beer so as long as you like wine like we do it is perfect.
Gorgeous food, generous portions, staff so so lovely, very relaxing experience!
Excellent overall experience, lovely scallops to start, followed by delightful lobster for two and cheese plate to finish. Great and attentive service, lovely people.
Recommend. Food, service, value was all excellent. Dessert fantastic also.
I will be back for sure.
A gem of a restaurant! Highly recommend! Love the staff, food is always delicious and the decor fantastic!
Really good customer service, excellent food & lovely buzzy atmosphere if not bit noisy! However I would return. Food is really top notch. I had scallops to start and the waiter had to pour over the sauce in front of me which was nice touch as it really brought the whole thing to life. Lobster for main- with a gorgeous salad and truffle fries. My husband had oysters which he said were fab. For main lobster linguine and you could really taste the lobster. It was delicious. For dessert we shared s chocolate bomb special. The waiter poured warm choc sauce over it in front of us and we watched it melt - it was again great to be part of the process, and it was insanely delicious. We sat at window on high seats/ very comfy. However if I had to make one tiny complaint it was that the chairs were very squeaky. Easily fixed hopefully.
We went to Lobstar for my Birthday dinner last Saturday evening. It was a brilliant experience, the food was delicious, service was excellent, the ambiance was cosy but a bit noisy. Overall we had a lovely evening. I loved the tuna poke and the elderflower and mint mocktail. Both so delicious.
We celebrated my friends 50 birthday here and Lobstar is outstanding. Amazing food and service. Tiny little place and they handled pur rowdy crowd of seven perfectly. Everyone raved about the steak and lobster. My husband loved his lobster ravioli. We were all visiting Dublin from the states for a week and my friends said by far was their most favorite dining experience. Thank you for taking such good care of us and if ever backto Ireland you are on top of our list! Thank you!
Excellent food, lovely welcome from staff also. The Mussels in lobster bisque is simply delicious. Have recommended this restaurant to a lot of my friends already and some have already made booking. Looking forward to going back again.
Excellent food, beautifully presented and served. An great neighbourhood restaurant that is individual and exciting.
A lovely small 'hidden gem' in Monkstown, highly recommended.
Lobstar is a regular haunt for us and it never disappoints. A great addition to Monkstown!
The food was amazing and service was outstanding. The space is very cozy and at the same time very professional. The restaurant is definitely a fine-dining experience. We were served by Veronica, she was super nice and super professional. 5 star for the place, service, food and the people.
Third time here, first time for lunch. Food was delicious and service was impeccable.
Excellent all round Food and Service.
I arranged my sisters birthday at Lobstar on Sunday and it was such an enjoyable evening thanks to Veronika and her amazing team.
Amazing every time! Would highly recommend it!! Staff are so friendly and the food is unreal.

Fabulous first meal in Lobstar. Great food and attentive service. Can’t wait to go back and recommend to friends and family.
