An excellent choice for a romantic evening or enjoyable experience with a local "family" run restaurant.
The food was very good and service was outstanding. Highly recommended.
Wonderful menu and yummy cuisine. I’d definitely go back. The mushroom risotto is garlicky and creamy with the rice absolutely toothsome. Loved the clams and mussels in broth. All excellent! Great service.
Great atmosphere, our server was very helpful and prompt on all of our orders (10 ppl). I’ll be coming back again!
Excellent food with pleasant service
Awesome food and wonderful service! Their pasta dishes better than what we had in Italy!
When eating at Locanda, one of my most favorite Italian restaurants anywhere, you feel like you are eating in a beautifully appointed house. The food is what keeps you coming back and an excellent wine list with staff who understand how the food is prepared and what it entails to make it. Excellent service without being imposing or cloying. The food is fresh, authentic and delicious!
Loconda Veneta is one of those restaurants that never disappoints. I just returned from a trip to Italy and it brought me back to my vacation. One of the best spots for Italian food in Los Angeles.
This restaurant never fails. The food is consistently excellent, the ambiance warm and friendly, and the service top rate. One of my absolute favorites.
First time here though it has been around forever. Very nice space - very relaxing. Food was excellent as was the service. We wanted to eat family style (3 of us) and they were happy to accommodate us. Will definitely be back.
Great service! Love that actual Italians work there bc hearing the authentic accent while dining transports you to the homeland. The portions are generous and the food is well-seasoned. There is an expressive menu, so something for everyone. We love the eggplant appetizer and the lentil pasta. The wine selection will satisfy anyone in any price range. It’s a small restaurant great for almost any occasion except for a big load party. Love it!
The ingredients to a good meal were there and maybe we were there on a night that only chef's helpers
were there...burratta salad was bland even with Gioia's fabulous cheese, the other dishes just lacked seasoning and soul.
The lamb shanks- superb! Waiter was quite attentive. Was a bit warm probably due to open kitchen
Fantastic chef who never disappoints. Outstanding pastas and sauces. One if best in city.
Love this place since I was a child. Great pasta and people. Thank you for decades of good times and good meals.
I have been dining at Locanda Veneta for 30 years. It never disappoints. I love the place as do my guests
he person who greeted me was so rude! (please note it wasn't a table server w/black shirt) It was a gentleman in a grey button shirt, He was ready cold and rude. totally disappointed with the restaurant experience
Never let's me down! The calamari is to die for.
Not a good experience unfortunately. The artichoke soup was bad and the spaghetti rigid and more like ramen noodles. The sauce was thin and runny. The spinach was wilted to death. The service was great though. But its like having a great server on the patio deck of the Titanic...
Jessica the server/sommelier is tops. She is not only a great server, she really understand s fine wine and appreciates it. We always enjoy seeing her. The food is consistently good.
Más sino is the best! Food is always amazing as is the vibe!! One of our favorites!
Such a neighborhood gem, even if you don't live in this neighborhood. Warm lively feel, intimate room, caring smart servers, attentive open kitchen. Authentic Italian cuisine. Pretty darn perfect.
Food and service never disappoints. They just started a Happy Hour discount at lunchtime for their fabulous wines by the glass (50% off). The fish dish wrapped in parchment was fabulous.
We went for Dine LA and their offerings are always such great value. The service is attentive and friendly. I’ve never been disappointed when I’ve eaten here.
The restaurant is welcoming, charming and cozy. The seating feels intimate and private even with proximity to other tables. The waitress was very present and kept checking in. We talked for a long time before ordering and she patiently kept returning to see if we were ready to order. She also helped us make ordering decisions.
We ordered the DineLA menu because there was no fish on the regular menu. There were lots of choices which was great. The brocoli soup was okay. The artichoke salad and boar ragout were wonderful. Everyone liked the risotto but it was too salty for my taste. The main dishes were hugh. The women took home large portions. I ordered the branzino which was okay. Not enough stand out seasoning. The halibut was good but the sauce a bit sweet. There was another fish in a creamy sauce someone ordered and reported was on the drier side. The key lime pie, which I typically love was just ok. A bit too sweet. Not enough crust and a lot of key lime and whipped cream. Not terrible not great.
If I returned I would order the cheesecake.
I was so stuffed after Dine LA course menu! Super good deal!
I’ve been going there for years ands it’s been consistently amazing. This one of the best truly Italian restaurants in this city.
Pleasing to go with anyone.
But they are always particularly tender when I come in with my antique parents.
Thanks Again to the wonderful chef and staff.
Never fails to exceed my expectations!
We have loved Locanda for years and years. It is always a wonderful special diner. Great authentic Italian tratoria with excellent service. We had the pear tart tatin for desert and it was in a word amazing.
Awesome as usual! Love the food, staff and ambience.
Love Locanda Veneta -- the staff are always welcoming. The food is fantastic and it's wonderful to eat there because you can actually have a conversation while dining.
Beautiful environment & great food. Will be eating when back in town.
altho it took a little while for the food to start coming out, it was worth the wait becuz the food was fab! Took some out of town guests & they loved it. I appreciate the outdoor patio area being heated since we were outside because of my dog
This was horrible. I was with two guests and my wife. We all agreed.
An excellent, unpretentious Italian restaurant. There is a reason why it has survived for decades.
Great food and service. Had a wonderful time, as always. One of the premier restaurants in LA year after year.
Jessica Marie Taylor, our server is fabulous. She is studying for the Sommelier exam--loves wine and is a lot of fun. Her food recommendations to my friend, Wes, and me were right on. We like the restaurant for everything--food tops, atmosphere very nice, not crowded...and Jessica one of the best...all in all a perfect experience.
