Lockhouse Ratings and Reviews
Great burgers and a friendly welcome. I liked all the food, including the wings and jalapeño sides, I had a Licked and Liafed burger which cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentative without being overbearing. Will definitely visit again!
Lively vibe, great interior, on point music. Burgers were the star of the food menu the blue burger was an absolute winner. Cocktails were very cool, fresh and innovative. Great addition to the area. Will be back to sample more drinks and go through their extensive beer range!
Plenty of people were in the bar, but 5/6 of the restaurant was closed so the atmosphere was unusual, atypical, and peculiar. The service was excellent, quick and friendly, and completely understood our orders. The food was excellent. At least they had chicken in contrast to the last time we came for dinner!
We do not appreciate the music which is far too loud.
I come fairly regularly for breakfast which I thoroughly enjoy. The porridge is to die for and the eggs are cooked to perfection. The coffee is the best of all the canal side eateries.
Finally. All the staff are real professionals and they make a visit most enjoyable.
The evening could have been a disaster as the kitchen suddenly closed without warning without us having ordered. I had a train to catch in one hour's time, so was faced with the disappointment of not eating together with members of my family before the kitchen opened again. However the waiter who I spoke to rose to the occasion and prioritised our order when the kitchen opened again. My companions were given free desert to make up for the loss of service, though by then I had left. Whilst I didn't get the full benefit of the menu, I thought the staff were really helpful and pleasant, the menu interesting and the close proximity to Paddington station ideal.
The lockhouse is located next to the canals near to Paddington station so location is covenient. Food is pub far with some interesting combinations like a duck po'boy sandwich. The food was tasty and service was friendly.
If you're looking for a place where small children won't be upsetting other diners then this place is great. There's a relatively private table next the the stairs at the front of the restaurant offering a good area for those with kids that just can't sit still.
The bar/ restuarant is really well set out and you feel like you are having relaxed dinning. The food was great, the burgers tasted really authenic and the half a chicken was a great portion size. The only area that could be improved is the service, there are some staff members that are not working with any urgency and this can be frustrating, when waiting on drinks and food.
