Great food. Reasonable price.

I always love this restaurant so I'm happy to visit during these outdoor dining days. I do wish there were some plastic barriers within the tent, but otherwise great and wonderful service!

I really appreciated the friendly customer service by the supporting cast. Food was prepared well.

Great service and good food. The wait staff went above and beyond to make your experience feel like you were at a 5-star restaurant. We couldn't decide on the Mediterranean dips so we chose the pick 3 option and went with the Tzatziki dip, Pink Queen dip and Ajvar dip. We decided to share a Mezze and Entree. We ordered the Grilled Portuguese Octupus and the Lamb Sauteed. The Lamb Sauteed was perfectly cooked infused with the tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, pepper and garlic flavors.

Really great indoor dining experience. They get your info for contact tracing. They also did not rush you out compared to other restaurants these days. And less people inside makes for a nicer ambiance indoors. Great and friendly local restaurant.

We've come back here several times because we like their appetizers and their seafood. We were very pleased that the quality remained the same.

Nice dishes with a Mediterranean flair. Food choices a little out of the ordinary but that are also appealing to a more traditional palate.
Love their stuffed cabbage and for those into desserts, the baklava is sure to please

Everything was cooked to perfection. I went with a group of friends and we shared everything. The portions were large and easily shareable. We ordered the grilled calimari (fresh and delicious), the flank steak (well-seasoned and tender), the grilled shrimp ( perfect!!!) and the chicken shish (also perfect). Everything, including the vegetables was just right. If you like things spicier, ask for their homemade hot sauce. It’s delicious! We had wine, but we didn’t try dessert. Next time. I can’t wait to go back. (Service was also terrific).

I was having brunch with some friends I haven’t seen in awhile and we had a great time. The food was delicious. The staff was great, very attentive. Overall, we had a great meal and it was the perfect start to a great day.

Just a great neighborhood restaurant with extremely fresh fish. Highly recommend the octopus and sea bass.

Highly recommend hummus, crab cakes, arugula and pear salad. Disappointed with the falafel and the octopus. Overall, very tasty. Lots of families there when we were there - very loud.

amazing service, very attentive

Was not blown away by either the food or the value. I have lived for many years in the middle east and I was just not that impressed with the food here. Not bad, but not great either and a bit expensive for what it is. Can do better at many other places in the city and actually in this neighborhood. Again, nothing really wrong here, but just no wow factor.

Really enjoy this s restaurant. Their food is always fresh and delicious. The service as well is outstanding. Will come back and highly recommend to try if you haven't done so yet.

We opted for meze platers rather than mains and didn’t regret it. Food was delicious, staff was very accommodating to us and our children. Everything was great. We will definitely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to others

The decor is charming and the waiters were so attentive . We especially loved the grilled octopus!

I dined at Lokal on a Saturday afternoon for brunch.

My friend & I were able to try a few cold dips/small plates along with bread. I am a bit of a picky person but the ajvar dip (roasted red pepper and eggplant puree) and lentils patties definitely stood out to me. Both were full of flavor.

I opted for their Eggs Benedict with Salmon and my friend chose Steak and Eggs, both dishes came with home fries. I’ve never had poached eggs prior to and I am very much an omelet girl but I loved it. The eggs went well over the salmon & English muffins. My friend also really enjoyed her steak & eggs meal. Their Mimosa’s & Bellini’s were on point too!

I am definitely looking forward to trying their pancakes/french toast and their omelets. I hope to return soon.

Delicious food! Servers were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The lamb burger was a hit for the teenage crowd with us. Highly recommend the small plates - particularly the gambas!

Trip to Natural History museum with family

We have lived the UWS a few years and I cannot believe we have not been to Lokal. We went on Christmas Day. It was wonderful to eat from a regular menu and not a pre-fix. The food and service was really good. And no loud music or noise and it made our visit much more enjoyable.

They have a few unique items on their menu and we look forward to returning.

The mezze are fantastic, especially Pink Lady, Labneh and Ajvar. But it's the bread that can't be beat. I always eat well there and always appetizers, although one of the people at the table had a lamb dish that.he said was excellent. Thank you.

Kind of dreary for dinner. The drinks were ok, food average+. Would not return.

got there early. a booth in the back, but they had just freshly painted and the smell was strong. moved us up to a table in the front by the bar. no problem. great service and food ... a good time!

There is a wide selection of traditional and not so traditional Turkish food, well prepared and the portions are generous. Drinks are also good. I wish that there were more dessert selections.
