Lovely meal with fantastic food and service as ever. It was our first time taking our children (6 and 8) for an early dinner seating - there’s no official children’s menu but the staff were really accommodating and made mini fish and chips for one child and a plainer chicken dish for the other child.
LSB is my favourite restaurant and it’s always a treat to dine the food. The setting is lovely whatever time of year the food is delicious and staff courteous and ideal hosts. I have never had a bad meal in the many years I have been going. I am so glad I have been able to go in these trouble times
Great food and service. Fantastic menu.
Waitress very attentive and friendly.
Miss the gummy bears and hope they will be back once covid is over.
Fantastic food, and not overly expensive if you go before 7pm and choose from the set lunch menu. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the ambience was relaxed. Recommended!
We both chose meals that we'd never had before the delivery for both our starters and main course. The presentation was what we've come to expect and the food was cooked to perfection. Then as our coffees arrived so did a large plate with three sweets and a Happy Birthday piped in Chocolate it was for me and I really appreciated the kind thought. We had a nice welcome on arrival and all staff were so attentive and friendly.
Wonderful place, we are so happy it is here, and we will come again and again to try their delicious food and wine. Absolutely best restaurant in Reading.
Excellent dinner and service from the staff. Always a favourite, even better as our first meal after lockdown. Well done
Imaginative menu. High quality food. Excellent wine list.
Our favourite restaurant in Reading - wonderful quiet place with delicious food, great cocktails and wine list and first-class service.
Fabulous late lunch/early dinner had just as Boris announced second lockdown. So glad we made it out while we still could and service food and ambiance was great as always. We will return!
Excellent evening would be there next week except for the lock down!
Fixed price menu is good value as always lovely food at London st. Nice ambience, good service and professional happy staff.
Enjoyable as ever. Quality of food very good and staff friendly and attentive.
First time at London Street after hearing positive comments. We were not disappointed, the staff were very friendly and efficient, and food was delicious. Will definitely be returning
Very enjoyable the only thing I would say was the wine list was a little pricey
Always book to come here, food quality is always high and love the set menu , lovely restaurant
Great food, attentive service without fuss. A great balance and amazing work in a time when hospitality has it all up against you! Well done LSB
Still one of the best places if not the best to eat in Reading. Good fresh food cooked well.
had a really nice meal at LSB last weekend. the service was great, the drinks were good, and the food was really good but not amazing.
overall, we really enjoyed it but i felt it was expensive for what it was, having had better food for closer to half the price in local gastropubs.
My husband and I went to LSB for dinner on a Thursday eve to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was absolutely wonderful the food was delicious and the ambience just right. They also bought out our dessert with Happy Anniversary written in the plate which was a lovely touch.
Lovely evening with very good food and drinks. Great atmosphere and first classes service
I love the LSB it’s consistently perfect!
Fixed price menu good value, food tasty and well presented. Wine and beer fresh, well kept. Service friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Social distancing well observed without being exaggerated. All-in-all a pleasant experience in trying times.
Great service,. Amazing food. You always know that it will be perfect every time you go.
The food was delicious-well presented and with novel pairings or twists on old favourites. I’d never have thought to put haggis with venison, but it was really enjoyable.
Service was friendly, fun and welcoming whilst still being professional-and asking for an adjustment on one of the desserts due to a mild food intolerance was done with no fuss or issues.
The afternoon/early evening menu is particularly good value (although slightly limited in the mains for the non fish eaters) and we liked the option of being able to pick and mix between the two.
Great and interesting food. Venison was fantastic, a really great food and dining experience
Not our first visit and will not be our last, good quality food with good size portions, friendly service from the moment you arrive, highly recommend if you have not been before.
Very good meal only issue was with a couple of puddings the meringue was a little tough had to be returned and the passion fruit panna Cota tasted like vanilla.
Staff were friendly and the puddings were removed from the bill overall very good as always.
The starters were excellent however the duck main was really dry and unenjoyable. Also, putting watermelon with it? Does not go.
Head waitress (I assume) was a bit grumpy and didn't want to know. The young blonde waitress was lovely though.
Food to the usual high standard expected of this restaurant. Pity they have to restrict numbers as it takes away some of the vibrancy but this applies to all restaurants currently. Good food good service and good staff.
Beautiful food, nice restaurant and good wine. Recommend
Beautiful food with excellent service. A tad expensive but worth paying in most cases. Main a little too heavy for my liking with too many flavours (pork belly) but otherwise perfect
Excellent food, friendly staff and great value. Thanks to all at LSB
Nice place to eat with a nice ambience and no pressure.
Great service and great food 💯 definitely be going back.
Excellent birthday lunch. Unusually I went for the vegetarian main, halloumi (with harissa sauce), which was very good - and I saw a few other people ordered. Had the panna cotta for desert - which went well with the orange bits it came with. Nice coffee too.
A really lovely lunch for my friends birthday. Great service and scrumptious food.
Great place! Lovely food and staff are great. Will definitely be back.
Lamb was let down. Food was not good at all. Service was good
Good tasty starters but let down BADLY with their " Beer battered cod, chips, tartare. mushy peas" How can you make a mistake with what is a British classic dish. Beer batter! under cooked ,no crisp bite and soggy looked and tasted as if it had been "hanging around".
Waitress, who was very good, recognized this but the man who replaced my dish made no apology just stated "here is your CRISPY fish". Unfortunately my wife by this point had almost finished her main course.
So very disappointed!
