Afternoon Tea at Ting, Shangri-La At The Shard
At lunch we offer an a la carte menu and a set 2-3 course menu for those looking for something a little quicker. Sunday's we have our take on family lunch, a feasting menu inspired by regional dishes of Portugal with a twist.
We strive to reflect the many culinary influences that inspire us and seek out the best produce possible by working closely with British farmers and daily fishing boats, as well as sourcing unique ingredients from Portugal.
Just can't fault it. The food was exceptional...chef Leandro dishes are just exceptional. A must try.
One truly personal and mood booster service. Renato is a true restaurant manager!
I would definitely not recommend this place. Overpriced meals for that amount of food or quality. I find it outrageous that you can serve one prawn only for 18£. The other main was full of fish bones and over cooked. And of course, nobody from the stuff was interested enough in us to come and ask us if everything was ok, as I would have told them directly instead of writing this review.
No atmosphere, rude manager, poor value for money.
Great food, wasn’t very busy but the service was excellent and really enjoyed. Will go back, hopefully.
Beautiful venue and the staff are friendly and attentive! I wish I could say the same about the food though - our final bill was over £100 for bread, 2 starters and 2 mains and we left absolutely starving. The portion sizes are very off in my opinion, for example one main of prawns was £24 and I am not joking consisted of 2 prawns and sheets of potato. In addition one of the clams in our starters wasn't open, consider the price and the fact we only recieved about half a dozen to begin with it was a little disappointing. Flavour-wise I have nothing to complain about but I do think portion size needs to be reconsidered to make this place worthwhile.
Excellent food and very good service! My favourites: Oysters; Sea bream, Grilled Mackerel; Atlantic Prawns
The restaurant seems to be more targeting ‘fine dining’ but unfortunately I did not feel that the food lifted quite put to it. Otherwise staff and ambience was pleasant.
One of our group is a chef in Lisbon and we were all looking forward to trying Londrino. Food was very good, dessert was amazing (worthy it) however, the lack of attention with us was very disappointing. The table next to ours seemed to be having all the attention (friends of the owner or similar) and our main course took long time to arrive in despite of the restaurant being empty. I would try the restaurant for dessert but unfortunately I would not come back as the lack of attention with us was really unacceptable.
Style over substance. Most dishes were revolting, the prawns hadn't been properly cleaned and were gritty. Service and wine was good though
Now that was a great meal. It’s an amazing room and bar, beautifully decorated and comfortable but also stylish and little touches of unusual. The staff were perfect, friendly and knowledgeable, discrete and smart. The food was wonderful. From the perfect Breda, through light and spicy tempura, incredible mackerel and jammy endive to the best duck I have ever tasted. The team chose Greta wine to match our meal and w had plenty to eat! I’m not sure about the other reviews because we didn’t have room for dessert. Fabulous
Portions too small and food wasn’t worth the money we paid, nothing too special about it
Food was okay, but VERY overpriced (especially considering the tiny portions). Wine list was not great--there are so many better Portuguese wines. The only upside was the service.
Overpriced and substandard food. Really disappointed
The small plates and starters were all incredible, but the mains were just not worth the money at all. The prawns were prepared just how I like them - only lightly cooked, but the smokiness was perhaps just too strong, and the quality was poor for the price. The pork too was extremely average!
The dessert of black sesame custard was incredible, as with the wine list (great selection of Madeira wines for afters as well).
All in all, the meal was great but just let down hugely by the main dishes. It was very quiet for a Saturday night so the atmosphere wasn’t quite what we were hoping but that can’t really be helped.
Food is always good here
Food needs some improvement - the flavours and dishes seemed too basic.
Incredible service and atmosphere, overpriced food with very little in terms of remarkable flavor or quality.
Really disappointing! It was the third time we had diner at londrino (preciously it was perfect), and this time the food was really, really bad (seriously bad) , we don’t understand what happened, and we are not sure we will be back.
Issues with dish composition and taste. The main issue was the taste, we do not understand what happened. Insipid, tasteless, over vinegar on the desert...
Modern and big open space
Well executed dishes
The only issue is the pricing
It’s a bit tricky, the starter was one of the best dishes I have ever had. The main course of trout was well undercooked. The venue is nice but the ambiance is a little quiet.
There was insufficient front of house service staff, some dishes were outstanding others we not enjoyable, the pricing did not reflect the experience.
Very disappointed as we live close by but are reluctant to go back.
Much better options in the area
Incredibly interesting, delicious, super modern menu. Food you’ve never eaten before! Very much a fish restaurant so probably not best suited to hardened meat eaters or vegetarians. Lovely service. Very clean and spacious venue. Would highly recommend.
Impeccable experience. Friendly staff. Very nice feeling inside. Incredible smoked shrimps.
Great food, service and ambience.
A special place where people talk over the tables to each other about the food on their plates. Go with an adventurous spirit, particularly on the dessert menu!
Great restaurant from the moment we walked in. Nice attentive service from all the staff (Probably helped by the fact we were early in the evening). All the staff we spoke to knew the menu really well, gave good advice. Good is small plate, with the idea being on sharing a number of dishes so you get to try a variety. Food was not rushed out, and we had plenty of time to enjoy each dish as it came. The lobster main was perfectly cooked, nice delicate flavours. Clams was equally a beautiful starter, as was a mushroom starter. A place to savour the quality of the cooking. The cheese board though we didn't have it looked the nice way to end the meal with a glass of port!
Londrino is a place for delicious food, always with an innovative, intelligent and unexpected twist , freshest fish and seafood , wonderful bar food . Leandro Carreira is a super talented chef , with his team in the kitchen they serve dishes to remember - rare in the London Resto scene .
I’d been wanting to go to Londrino since it opened as had heard great things. We weren’t disappointed. The food, service and ambience were all excellent. You can feel the passion in every corner. Highly recommend.
Excellent food. Quite expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Friendly and efficient staff.
Londrino is absolutely incredible! Superb service and every dish was fantastic. Stand out!
When we visited it was a bit quiet (only one other table, Thursday lunchtime) but the food, decor and service were very good.
deep fried prawn pastry pocket starter was pretty good, kind of like a findus crispy pancake...
tbh the food here was rather underwhelming for the price. It was like Portuguese bar food with something of the energy, soul, humour, taken out of it. I think I like what the restaurant seems to be attempting, a kind of calm, refined Japanese take on Portuguese, but for me it didn't quite work. The tomato bread mush dish with onions did was an astringent pap with tough stringy straggly onion through it. Compared to a proper, oily, tomatoey papa al pomodoro or panzanella it didn't compete. A samphire vinaigrette(?) was tasty but texturally irritating on the otherwise lush oysters. Don't undermine the oysteriness of an oyster! (to be fair to londrino I am an oyster purist so good luck anywhere which adds stuff to them because I probably won't like it!)
Better dish was the corn with crab. Sweet and crunchjuicy, the kernels (seemed to be different varieties mixed together, which was interesting) complimented the rich salty crabness well. In the end though something about the dish still felt a little, sickly. An expensive flat splat on a big white plate.
I wanted to like Londrino and I had a nice time there but I left wishing I'd had more punchy, less finicky equivalents of the dishes I'd tried. Crab and corn on toast, say. Just some good oysters. A garlicky, toothsome bread and tomato salad. A Findus crispy pancake...
The restaurant is a little away from the London Bridge thoroughfare but defenately worth the visit. The food and wine were very tasty, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with the menu.
Excellent throughout. Food was impeccable, as was the wine list. Service was flawless.
Really great restaurant, the sunday fish set menu was full of different textures and flavours and really a great selection for £35.
Portuguese is often under-rated as a cuisine and this restaurant will really help blow you mind - especially the desserts!
Interesting menu with lots of different courses to try. Would go back at the weekend but early in the week is was quite quiet and a little pricey for us.
Wonderful new restaurant offering Portugese fare. Very attentive but not overpowering staff, good food and great value. They also do not charge for water, still or sparkling. Well worth a visit
Delicious food and outstanding service. Great find and perfect for a business lunch.
Great food and service. I'd recommend the Oysters and Portuguese fizz.
