This was our 2nd time having business dinner w/our colleagues. Thank you for the great service & most amazing eats! We'll def be back again!
Been dining here for special occasions for over a decade. The food is always great and the staff as well. Most all the pasta is hand made daily and you can taste the freshness. Highly recommended!
First time here and overall it was a pleasant experience.
We went to L’Opera for our first anniversary and the staff made it a memorable time. They made sure our glasses were never more than half empty, food was astounding, and their Opera singer sang a song for us as they treated us to their traditional anniversary treats. This was an important night for our marriage and they made the night unforgettable. Thank you all for your hard work, it’s very much appreciated!
Great food and excellent service. Wonderful place to eat for a special occasion.
Great food and service!! Awesome location too next to all the activities. I love their spicy basil spaghetti.
It was wonderful to have dinner with friends and be able to have a conversation and hear each other! Food and ambiance were wonderful! our waiter was excellent and attentive. The food is the best we've had in So Cal! Salads were delicious! Love the lasagne and butternut squash ravioli in brown butter sauce! Still having dreams about it! Everything was perfect!
From the moment I was greeted the experience was excellent. Since I was dining alone, I chose to sit at the bar. So glad I did! Miguel is awesome. No wonder he’s been there for 15 years. The food, service, cocktails and wine were amazing. Homemade pasta daily so I had the Spaghetti Tutti la Mare, delicious.
Overall wonderful dinner experience. Will go back again.
I would definitely come here again! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the ambiance was very pleasant!
Amazing dinner! I got the butternut squash ravioli upon suggestion from our waiter. I was going to go for something else but I am so glad I didn’t. My fiancé got the Ragu lasagna and it was delicious too. The wait staff was so helpful and friendly, and there is a man who goes around singing opera. I can’t wait to come back!
One of my favorite eating places. Great food and great value for the food. The Opera singer is very good and entertaining. The ambience is before for date or group.
Liked the Caesar Salad but LOVED the Lasagna. Singing broke out to add some spice to the ambiance. Highly recommended.
It's pretty hard to beat L'Opera on any level. The food here is always delicious no matter what you have. Traditional Italian flavors that make your mouth water just thinking about it. The service is top notch, the location is great and the value is reasonable. It's on our rotation list, love it.
Perfect for special occasions. Came for birthday dinner with a group of 4 people. Restaurant was quiet, chill ambiance.
Food was amazing and service was impeccable!
Pictures don’t compare to how good the food is!!
Recommend 100% but only for special occasions, since it’s a bit expensive.
I went here with the ladies In my family (four of us) we got 4 appetizers and one entree to share with drinks. We paid around $
As always, the food at L'Opera was phenomenal. Each dish was infused with flavor and all of it was cooked perfectly. The wine we ordered needed to be chilled and so we were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne as we waited. Lovely staff. Amazing chef.
This was our first dining experience at L’Opera and we weren’t disappointed! The service, food and drinks were great!
Such an amazing place!!! Definitely better than any other restaurant in LB!!
We love love love going to L’Opera for date nights, special occasions or to jus grab a drink at their fabulous bar. I am so happy they opened back up and even happier that all of the staff returned! Not only is the food amazing but the service is second to none. When we go there, we always feel so welcome….we legit feel like family. If you haven’t been here yet, you are definitely missing out.
food & service were excellent! we’ll be back!
It was great to be back at L'Opera for dinner after so many months of pandemic restrictions. I had requested a table in a quiet area and we had the best spot ever. We could hear each other without having to raise our voices any. Our waiter Alex M was great. He was attentive, informative and very helpful. The food was very good and plentiful. We had an excellent time.
Fabulous food and service.
Very friendly, warm, accommodating staff.
Been there before covid.
Will definitely go back. Great place to celebrate a special occasion. Alfredo and Felix are the best!
Our waitress was the best. The food was delicious. Our wine was delicious and not too expensive. The desert, some pineapple thing was beyond heaven. We will be back many more times.
Pleasant experience, Jose was our waiter, he was very attentive and it was great evening. We also enjoyed the Italian song sung by an opera singer.
The chicken lasagna was really good, the panna cotta and pineapple cake were soooo delicious. And the fagoili soup was very flavorful
Servers were helpful and genuinely happy to see us. Great suggestions from the staff. The food was delicious and the plating was a visual treat.
L’ opera was a fantastic event. The food, the cocktails and the singing was spectacular! We Walked in and were instantly greeted and seated…
First time returning after 2020 COVID shutdown and after the May riots that saw rioters loot liquor and wine and ravage fixtures, paintings and the rest of the interior. Pleased to say the restaurant looks as wonderful as ever, refreshed. Many of the same long time staff members we remember from years of dining there have returned. The quality of the meal and cooking was as good as ever. I had the Rack of Lamb and my wife had the Short Rib Pasta. Absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. A bottle of Brunello de Montalcino was perfect. Great wine list as always though some selections were unavailable. No matter: there were many excellent alternatives that were available. A special shout out to Italian tenor extrordinaire, Sam A. Cappella, who sereneded diners with his wonderful arias. So glad that L' Opera has re-opened. It is still our #1 favorite Northern Italian restaurant. The Pine Avenue area generally appears to be cleaning up and recovering and slowly returning to its pre-riot condition. Hopefully that rebuilding and return from post-riot blight will be completed soon. Other destroyed restaurants in the area are coming back.
Great food and service. Loud
we all good things, from the food to the service, thank you!!!
Brought my best friend here for her birthday celebration. Food was fantastic, except the calamari, which was tough & tasteless. Fresh bread with herb-infused olive oil was a warm, wonderful start. We had butternut squash tortellini and braised short rib ravioli. Each was a little bit of heaven in each bite. Finished our meal off with a slice of cheesecake that was so delicious. Waitstaff was super friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Absolutely a meal I hope to enjoy again soon!
Amazing choice of dishes with a matching delicious list of desserts.
The restaurant was way too hot and they seated us almost 15 minutes after our reservation time even though we arrived on time. It took the waiter over 20 minutes to get to us to ask for our drink water. The water glasses came and were EXTREMELY dirty. They had junk floating in the bottom. The food took forever to come out and the desserts were just mediocre. It took us almost 3 hours to dine there. That’s beyond a “dining experience”. We won’t return.
Our service was terrible! The food was amazing but the was some of the worst service I have ever had… He got my father in laws meal wrong and the when the food was dropped off tried to tell my father in law he was confused… it was a mess…
Food is delicious as always, but the waiter was absent for most of the time. He forgot our appetizer and service was so bad that it took nearly an hour for him to realize that which then delayed the ordering of our meals. Nearly 4 hours!
The service was excellent, very attentive and helpful. Both the lasagna and the ravioli were very delicious. Prices are not too high but reasonable for the quality and amount of food.
We love this restaurant. Special thanks to Tiffany, she is the magic that makes this place extra special.
Great Italian food. Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations regarding the menu. I had indicated that we were there celebrating our anniversary, and I was a little disappointed that the opera singer did not come to our table to sing, as he did with some birthdays. We were prepared with a tip!
