Service was patchy, may be due to under staffing. No starters available at lunch time. Whilst the mains were well presented, tasty and good value the desserts whilst tasty were expensive compared to the mains. When booking, lunch was only available in the consevatory which in the autumn does not convey an inviting atmosphere.

We ate at the hotel both nights and the food was amazing. Great portion sizes and delicious. We ate in the bar area as it had more atmosphere than the conservatory. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All round this hotel is a little gem. Would definitely come back.

The table was sticky. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. My veg burger was served on a small wooden chopping board -- far too small for the burger, so quite a lot of it spilled onto the table. Clearly other diners had experienced the same problem (see my first comment). The serving staff kept well out of sight. I would never eat here again.

Lovely setting, however lacked atmosphere as were the only people there for breakfast. Service was good. Ordered the scrambled egg and would have expected it to be more than one slice of toast for the money

Always love The Lordleaze. In the Summer the Conservatory is really lovely to enjoy a meal . In the Winter the fire in the bar is just so welcoming. Thoroughly recommend the service the ambience and the lovely food.

First visit here. Partner's cod and chips excellent, even peas tasted fresh. My Thai green curry was superb full of flavour. Very generous portions, all fresh and served hot. Waitress staff very friendly.

Fabulous menu choices, food is delicious always. Service good and always a lovely atmosphere. Love sitting in the conservatory to look out over the garden. Very good value for money, I would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely surroundings (ate in the conservatory). Food was very good with more than adequately-sized portions. Excellent service, all the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Would recommend it to anyone.

A lunch with a friend. Excellent service, good menus choices at a reasonable price. We ate in the nice bar area which would have a lovely fire in the winter. We enjoy our meals and would definitely go back.

Nicely prepared food with fresh ingredients. My steak and chips was good and we enjoyed sitting in the bar part of the restaurant. We think a Sunday roast would probably be a good bet there.

We have been many times. Just be prepared to sit and relax as you may have to wait for your food for up to half an hour or so, as sometimes very busy and they cook to order. But we are there to have a relaxing family experience and to make memories! Everything our family has chosen to order has been exceptionally tasty. Their burgers are definitely one to recommend. Unctuous is the description I would use. The burger tastes char grilled, you can have with it without melted cheese and I believe pay extra for add ons. However, it does come with basket of chips which are lovely, not just the frozen bland type you get in many outlets. A side of homemade coleslaw (no onions it seems, which is bonus for a few of us). The bun is toasted with tomato chutney in the base of the bun. This to me has a lovely both sweet and smokey taste. If that is not enough, it comes with a side salad, and at least three home made onion rings! Each time I go for lunch there I convince myself beforehand that I will choose something different, but as soon as our party starts talking about the burgers, well, I relent and order one! We mainly go for the lunchtime menu due to the ages of some in our party. So far our party has had: fish and chips, the fish is cooked in cider batter and according to the consumer is ‘soft and buttery, proper fish and the peas are lovely’ The 3 egg omelettes (a table of four all ordered them beside us) looked large and great. On a previously visit, a family member had the smoked salmon one. The smoked salmon was more than plentiful. As you can tell, we absolutely love it here & it’s great that it’s local. If want to sit in the garden there is plenty of room with some seating areas having umbrellas for shade. We prefer to eat in the bar area as very comfy and lovely and cool if it’s baking hot outside and cosy in Winter, colder months. The bar is dog friendly & we prefer the more casual atmosphere. There is a conservatory area if you want perhaps not a pub feel.

The food and drinks were very expensive considering the hotel is at the end of a dusty uneven road. Staff were friendly but it was rather slow getting food.

Had a very nice stay. Room was comfortable food very good. Staff extremely friendly and happy. Breakfast was cooked to order and always very nicely well presented. All in all very happy with the whole experience, a lovely few days at the Lordleaze Hotel. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
