Unfortunately we found the service quite poor on this occasion with the exception of a young man on the day in question who was very courteous. Had to ask twice for a second drink & when it arrived it was plonked on the table with no word from the waitress. Another waitress was walking away as I was continuing to place my order! This is a real shame as the food was really lovely.

Great food with good choice. Our waitress Reema was really friendly and efficient with a lovely welcoming smile. Monkfish was served almost raw but the manager handled the situation very professionally and had the chef re cook which was perfect and also took this dish off the final bill- very unexpected!!

We had the Eton mess for dessert and this was served up in a brown bowl, ..didn’t look very appetising, we felt this should have been in a tall glass for a better presents…..especially for an evening 3 course meal.

Love this place but disappointed with bar toilets today. Broken toilet seat in one cubicle and by the sink used handtowels everywhere. Should always be checked but wasn't. Anyhow food was fab as always. Be back soon and that will be my 8th visit.

Bit disappointed as normally a good experience at this restaurant. Lots of confusion with 3 separate items being brought to us that we did not order. Had to wait a long time for drink refills and had to remind them. Did not think food was up to usual standard either. Staff perfectly friendly and apologetic but just felt that something wasn’t right on this occasion.

We booked a table for 2 people but there was no table with a recorded reservation for us and we were just shown to a table near the servers gateway with anti bacteria spray peering over the dividers. We rejected this table and was given a lovely table for 4 people in the window for 1hr 15 minutes. It was Bank Hol Monday so very busy with young families and not a place for a conversation so we didnt outstay our time slot

Our visit was a birthday breakfast. We were all totally looked after by the team, staff were amazing and love the fact that the breakfast bacon, sausages and bread are all sourced locally. You can tell everything is freshly made. Just makes it feel even more special

Had a lovely lunch with friends at The Lot, great new decor, really nice warm interiors, gives a great new ambience! Staff were all lovely and efficient as usual, had the chicken Milanese, the flavours were amazing , followed by a refreshing mango cheese cake with fresh strawberries, the bottle of Albariño washed it down nicely!

Had a really good meal in a very busy restaurant with a great vibe. Loads of energy in the room, very busy for 6pm but service was excellent. My two children were made to feel very grown up and important which made their afternoon. Great local independent restaurant which does what it does really well.

Arriving early at 6pm made conversation easy; by 7.30 it gets loud if the clientele are!! But...such lovely, efficient, friendly and attentive staff. Food was delicious. And the new decor....LOVE, particularly the rose painting on the ceiling, just gorgeous! Relaxed and comfortable evening...thank you 😊
