group of 4 - sunday 10th Oct - cost £462.38 (no wine)
Venue - really pretty restaurant, good decor, freshly and well spaced.
Hostess - i think a smile would have cracked her face, rude and totally uninterested.
FOOD - very limited choice, the waitress handed us a list of 14 items which were not available, basically all the main items from the menu. on the whole the food we had (2nd or 3rd choice) was very good, well cooked and tasty, the exception was the truffle fries, these were raw, and the scallops were over cooked and over salted.
Poor service, - first words from the waitress were " sorry for the wait it been a busy weekend and everyone is tired", - wrong drinks (twice) - mains delivered but waited from sides over 5 mins, clearing tables while some people were still eating. No check back once mains were served.
Spoke to manager - offer a free drink!!!
Dirty toilets - the inground muck in the gents toilet under the water line was weeks if not months of build up. - informed staff but nothing done.
Staff drinking in the venue while customers still dining. a manager (off duty - in jeans and sweater) behind the bar opening wine and serving other staff who had friends with them, nothing tilled or charged
It is such a shame the details are missed, the restaurant needs a management team to lead, I don't accept that this was a one off, these endemic and deep routed failings do not happen overnight.
Luciano's sort yourself out before you become just another pizzeria.
We tried to order wine and was told that 4 of the bottles we wanted were not in stock, it was the same with the food; so many items on the menu had run out! When we ordered the waitress did not read it back, we got our first course then we were given our mains, I questioned why we were not given the calamari that we ordered and the waitress said that we hadn’t ordered it. She went to get the manager who said that we should have said something when she read back the order, he didn’t believe us when we said that she hasn’t read back the order.
My ravioli was nice but it was cold, I didn’t want to send it back because of the managers comments previously. I ordered mint tea which never arrived! I will definitely not be returning or recommending this restaurant. When I paid the bill, we got up to leave and not one member of staff said thanks for coming, they just ignored us as we walked out of the restaurant. It was not a very pleasant experience.
Excellent staff made this meal extra special. We took their recommendations on the food and drink and weren’t let down. Food was all well portioned and tasty. Will be back.
The food was amazing, the setting stunning and the attention from the staff was first class. We had a lovely pre theatre meal.
Great food, but service was slow even though it wasn’t too busy.
Food was amazing, plenty of it
Waiter was very helpful, helping and advised us on the menu
Would definitely go back
My daughter pre theatre 21st birthday celebration we went as three generations and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience
Fabulous food and buzzing atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
Delicious tasting food, good ambience although DJ a little loud if you are having a conversation. Service terrible. Table booked for 20.30 had to ask at 20.50 if our table was ready. Booking advised only 2 hours for the table, it took us over 2 hours to get through our starter and main course. Guests who arrived after us were served food before us. Very dissapointing.
My daughter has a peanut allergy and had a reaction from the chocolate cake she was given as a birthday cake. We did tell them she had an allergy but when we left she had the reaction straight after the piece of chocolate birthday cake
Food was absolutely delicious and service from all the staff was exemplary. Sometimes dining in a restaurant associated with a celebrity chef can be a bit disappointing with indifferent food and rushed service and but can safely say that did not happen here.
Great service, outstanding food and loved the DJ playing music throughout our dining experience. Would highly recommend
Attentive service and lovely atmosphere. Starters fresh and authentic flavours. Loved the pizza and veal was gorgeous and on the generous size. Will definitely return.
Care it indicates online that you can order the lunch early supper set menu
There is nothing on the website to indicate this is not available early on Friday
My table was booked for 5pm for pre theatre supper
The set menu was requested the staff advised it is not available on Fridays
This was disappointing
Beautiful restaurant with a warm, friendly welcome and attentive staff. Food was amazing even though the pasta machine was not working.
Would definitely return to celebrate a special occasion as it is quite expensive although a lovely experience
Really looking forward to going but unfortunately the service was terrible. Waited for my start that didn’t turn up and the main course took ages to come. The staff understood that we were not happy and did try and make amends. Hopefully the service will improve!
