A very overpriced restaurant, which is a shame as food is good but certainly not value for money, advised to to get 6 dishes between 2 people and each dish ranges up to £30. Staff were superb and attentive, won’t be going back, would rather visit Tatu

Excellent quality food, the black cod was amazing. Cocktails were pricey but again very good quality. The building is beautiful and atmosphere was lovely. Has the best toilets 😂.

First of all, the restaurant has the same acoustic issues Jamie's had. So why they add unrecognisable bass tracks is beyond me. Make sure you have a light and a zoom function on your mobile if you want to read beyond the main line of each menu item. We were in and out within 50 minutes having spent £212 between two of us. I asked for a straightforward pink gin and lemonade. I paid for a Manchester Raspberry gin at £17.50. We had two small scallops ( split in two ) perfectly cooked with a pretentious corn baton on top. £27. 5 pieces of very good sashimi, £40. Korean black cod, think the size of a drinks mat, £40. The only Korean thing about it were the 3 cold small pieces of kimchi roll. Two lamb chops? £30. I cannot believe I paid for two hours parking as well. People in london may be easily conned by this nonsense but this is Manchester.

Beautifully done food in a stunning location. The food was full of flavour and well presented. The waiting staff were attentive and explained the menu, gave recommendations and knives and forks for those of us that found chopsticks a challenge! The wine selection was also good. Out of all the dishes that we tried, the tempura monkfish was the one that stood out for me. We would definitely eat there again.

Tempura Prawn was hopeless. Better changed name: deep fry minced shrimp paste For a main dish: only 2 pieces scallop; A £45 sirloin: 200gm meat quality was poor; not cooked precisely, on the well-done side of ordered. Only Sashimi was just above average albeit a thin cut! Dessert was quite outstanding Recommended to others only for dessert

Went here to celebrate a birthday in the hope that my girlfriend will have a dinner experience to remember but it just so happened that her main dish and favourite meat, the lamb was served cold. Informed the management team who apologised for this and re-served the lamb but this time undercooked. Although level of cooking is subjective and sometimes restaurants have set ways of making their food, customer autonomy should also be upheld which was not. To make up for this error, two glasses of Prosecco were given and I declined to pay for the lamb which was also adhered to. The rest of the food was lovely but overall not somewhere I will be rushing back in a hurry.

The ambience and food was amazing. The bar staff and servers were lovely and very helpful. There was a man, whose job seemed to be going around chatting to people, who ruined the experience for is. He kept telling us about his sea food allergy and was far too familiar. He was trying to get us to eat the last bits of food on the table and swore twice whilst telling stories, which we found really strange. The staff did a great job and we genuinely don’t know what the man’s role was. It was an unnecessary distraction for us and he was very much an uninvited guest at our table. The rest of the day was so lovely and we would definitely come back! Highly recommended.

I actually had low expectations as I’d heard mixed reviews. The building is fabulous. Our waiter was lovely, attentive, informative, not too much. Food was mostly good. Both soufflé’s were raw in the middle but nobody checked if they were OK so didn’t get to inform anyone but otherwise the food was great. Had better black cod but the duck bao was great apart from the bao buns were stuck together.

We went for the lunch menu, food was lovely and there was enough! Definitely recommend the Chocolate Tofu! Service was excellent, Eva in the Manchester restaurant was outstanding. We will definitely be back!

The ambience of the entire place is really nice. We were offered to sit at the bar & order drinks before our tables were ready, however we waited around 10 mins at the bar, just watching the guys prepare the sushi rolls, none of the bar staff approached us. After some time a waiter ask if we wanted to order drinks & at the same time said our table was ready so we ordered but then got shown to our seats, with the drinks following later. The waiter he had, was nicer however looked overwhelmed and seemed to be going everywhere fast. Our food took sometime to come, just to note we ordered 8-9 dishes & each one can separately so we never had more than 1 dish in front of us, not sure if this is there intention. After we asked the waiter where is the rest of the food, he noted that it was extremely busy & apologised, at the same time we were also given wrong dishes to our table on 2 occasions. Overall food was good, ambience was good, however the service from start to finished needs a little more finesse, especially when you spend £200 for 2 people.

Wonderful food, but let down by the fact I arranged this special meal for my wife 50th Birthday, they even asked on arrival. It was then disappointing to find the table next to us had a lovely plate brought to them for there wedding anniversary we we didn't get anything.

What an amazing place for the best tasting food and presentation…the broccoli was even at another level for taste! Lamb cutlets where so tasty…I had 5 dishes but can’t remember their names. All outstanding! I was solo dining to celebrating 28 years in business. The team made me feel very special dining for one which I love to do. I was taken to the upstairs bar once I’d finished my gorgeous food where I met Daisy, the resident DJ. She was so lovely and I stayed 2 hours longer than expected. During this time I was presented with a Congratulations plate with fruit/chocolate. Great service and atmosphere Expensive evening but it was all I expected it to me and worth it. Can’t wait to return and try more dishes Thank you x

Food was probably a 6.5/7 out of 10 quite small portions presentation was good but the food lacked the quality/flavour I was expecting. Service was excellent with staff really attentive, however we were sat on the end corner of a seating area which shouldn’t be set for two as was not very comfortable and cramped. Expected more and as a result won’t go back, too many other options in town.

We choose the set menu plus a few small plates from the main menu. Set menu dishes were very average, not amazing and definitely not value for money. Dishes from main menu were beautiful and balanced in flavours. Feel like Lucky cat cheated the system by having the set menu as “reasonably priced” but realistically not amazing in flavour.

Not very professional for a Gordon Ramsey don’t think he would be happy staff stood around chatting and laughing where they could be seen wine not kept on top of being topped up, forgot to give a birthday plate as I put birthday celebration, sauce was brought out in middle of starter forgot about the beers we ordered

Second trip. Extremely enjoyable. Only knocked once star off as some dishes were not very warm. Maybe I’m being harsh but for almost £300 for 2 people I think it has to be perfect. Service good. JFC and fried rice are standout dishes

Overall we were rather disappointed with our first visit to Lucky Cat. We arrived on time for our greatly anticipated 10pm booking to be told a table was being prepared. We went to the bar where no one came to serve us so we sat and waited for 20 minutes. There were a few empty tables and lots of staff milling about but no one spoke to us or offered us a drink. After 25 minutes I went back to the ladies on reception and was again told a table was being prepared. It was now 10.30pm. After another 10 minutes a member of staff walked past us and we explained our predicament. He was more interested, apologised and offered us a free drink (cheap fizz). His intervention seemed to produce a more pro-active reaction and we were shown to a table. Chopsticks were provided which weren’t very suitable to eat 3 lamb cutlets and cut through half a stuffed aubergine. It was difficult to attract anyone’s attention but eventually we managed to persuade someone to bring us a knife - just 1 for the 3 of us! No one asked us if everything was ok or if we wanted to order any drinks. The bill arrived before one of our dishes. The sushi was well made but the menu overall was very limited in choice. Would recommend that the staff undergo intensive customer service training and learn what they need to do to exceed the customer’s expectations. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
