Took 55 minutes to get our lunch after we ordered and only six tables were occupied. Food was fine and our young server kept apologizing. But no reason it took so long.
Great service and staff. Really felt connected to them. Looking forward to going back soon.
The service was great and the place was beautiful, but the price was way too expensive especially since the food doesn’t come with sides.
It just doesn’t get any better. It’s our home away from home.
Lucky’s was great! Our waitress was super attentive and really nice. The brunch filet was really good and I loved the complimentary pastries that came with our coffee. At the end of our meal they brought out a congratulations desert for us. It was super cute and delicious. I will definitely be coming back.
Warm en Environment in French bistro like restaurant. Our family celebrated my son’s 18th birthday. Our waitress got us a birthday dessert and song for him without us asking. Calamari was very fresh tender excellent! Fish taco was good except that it needed a little bit more salt and seasoning. overall outstanding experience
The best of best of food. All staff goes out of the way to please customers. We are customers forever, and eat there daily. Thank you Lucky’s for making our time with you special. The Gables
A new fav for us!
We enjoyed every aspect of our evening from the food, the ambience to the service.. !
We really enjoyed our dinner at Lucky's, food and service were excellent and plenty to choose from on the menu. Just reality that inflation has impacted just about every segment of the economy and layer in the Malibu location; we will be back but this is far from an inexpensive dining experience.
Our home away from home. Superior!!
As always the experience, food, drinks & staff were exceptional. Great times as always and thank you once again!
-Filet was brilliant
-Oysters were amazing and fresh and mildly perfect
-Onion rings are the world greatest by far
-Cheesecake was decadent
and of course Martini was delightful!
Nice place with very good service. The lucky’s french fries are amazing. I recommend the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream as desert too.
Food was excellent and wait staff were SO nice!
We stopped by this restaurant for lunch during our road-trip. It’s kid friendly and the meals are very tasty. Waitress even gave us a basket of pastry on the house when we ordered that as part of our meal. Love the lobster roll and fries.
Faboulous first time for brunch. I’ll be back !
Excellent as always. Lucky’s never disappoints - fantastic culinary creations, great service and comfortable atmosphere.
Perfect! I took my boyfriend there for a Saturday brunch for his birthday (and let them know it was his special day). The service was AMAZING! We also had wonderful food and such a nice server (attentive and gave us complimentary dessert and such). Everyone was so nice and really made his day special. I absolutely recommend it and will be going there again VERY SOON!!!
Waited 20 min+for a waitress to take our drink order, took another 20+to get them. Waited 20+minutes for bread and that was after we finally were asked (twice) if we wanted it…that was super yummy…the best of the meal. Waited 20+minutes after that to order an appetizer. Spent 2+hours for a less than stellar meal. In their defensive the manager offered free dessert for the inconvenience and to reach out the next time we make a reservation. Sadly there won’t be a next time for us. Prices are over the top crazy. $90 for prime rib. $75 for lamp chops and $120 for the ribeye we shared. Quality was less than what it should have been for the price and service. Great variety of food selection but again prices are out of line for the quality of food served. Sad.
Our lunch om Saturday was amazing. Had girlfriends in from Chicago and wanted to take them somewhere special and Lucky's was the star. Our server was amazing and the ambience perfect.
Stellar dining experience. Dined in the covered outdoor/enclosed patio. Plenty of heaters. Great menu and beverage list.
Lucky’s has a lot of good things going for it, however on this day we thought the food was a little disappointing. We were there for lunch. My wife’s “main course” chopped salad was more like a side salad. She was disappointed. We also expected more out of the smash burger. On the other hand, the fries were great and the steak tacos were amazing. Would definitely order the steak tacos again. The menu has a lot of very tempting items and we’re looking forward to returning but will ask a few more questions when placing our order next time. Overall it’s a great environment and worth a visit.
Very inexperienced wait staff, especially for a fine dining restaurant. Food was fine but nothing special. Montecito is much better.
Great as always.............. crab was great and so was the salads and of course the onion rings......... service was great and given middle of sunday afternoon was somewhat quiet........
Loved everything about it. Everything was on point, good and service was exceptional
Absolutely divine food! Lovely ambiance and great service! My new favorite restaurant!!
This was our first time dining at Luckys since they opened, we had only done takeout during the pandemic. A lovely setting, great service and delicious food! Definitely looking forward to returning! The filet mignon was to die for!
Connecting with my wife
Food was fantastic!! Oysters absolutely perfect, onions rings a MUST and the petite filet was incredible!! Also tried a bit of the brisket sandwich which was also amazing!!
Giselle in the front desk was amazing she is one of the kindest people. The redhead waiter was really good
Celebrated a friend’s birthday at Lucky’s. Great, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. We had filets, salmon, Romanian steak…all cooked perfectly as ordered. Fave sides are the onion rings, sautéed spinach, and potato gratin. Fun atmosphere too!
Server was poorly trained and not really paying attention. His shirt was 2 sizes to small and was stretched at the buttons - manager must not have been paying attention to details. Had to hand him (server) the receipt at the end of the night as he didn't come back and get it and didn't want to leave a cash tip on the table. My assessment is poor management, then food was great and restaurant was very nice.
Manager was sleeping at the wheel.
Great place for drinks and brunch …
Our guests ran into traffic but our server completely was accommodating with getting their meals out just before they arrived.
As good as the one in SB. One of the few outstanding restaurants in Malibu.
This was my first lunch visit and it was great. The lunch menu gives you a lot of choices . With the salads you can have a much lighter meal in the middle of the day. I chose the Philly Steak and it was great . My wife had the steak salad which was over the top good. The noise level is WAY lower than inside at night which makes business conversations much easier.
EXCELLENT - well run - great food. A great gem of a place.
Lucky's is not only the premier restaurant in Malibu, it is the outstanding restaurant in Los Angeles. The food is spectacular; it is far more than a steakhouse (there are lots of those in Los Angeles). It is offers a varied cuisine that is the standard for all. The steaks match any competitor's but, though other entrees in other restaurants often -- usually -- disappoint, the seafood and the salad options are also excellent. It took a short while for Lucky's to find its footing but now not only is the food wonderful but the service is flawless and management warm and welcoming. The ambience is comfortable. It's a wonderful place to have a wonderful time.
It's still Covid season, so it's hard to tell what Lucky's is like when it's... normal. But on a Friday at lunch, it was ideal -- quiet enough for conversation, sufficiently distanced from other diners who, well... I don't know where they've been, attentively staffed, and, yes, delicious. The courses were nicely varied, the pricing is reasonable, and the wine list has a good number of options.
My only gripe would be that the seared tuna in my salad was crusted in "blackened" spices, and there was no mention of that on the menu. Since I believe that I should bite the food and it should not bite me back, I had to trim the edges. Yet, once that was done, everything was wonderful.
Really nice, quiet spot for lunch with great menu choices.
